Catechesi N. 48

A - Il Figlio dell’Uomo sta per venire nella Gloria del Padre suo, con i suoi Angeli, e allora renderà a ciascuno secondo le sue azioni.

B - Prepariamoci all’incontro con Dio, vivendo nella Fede e nella spiritualità, pregando molto e conquistando la Sua fiducia. Non esiste nulla di più prezioso e importante nella nostra vita, di questo incontro.

C – Nella fragilità, nella fatica, nelle situazioni più fastidiose, Gesù aiuta quelli che pregano e dice loro: "Sono Io, non abbiate paura".

D - Cosa fanno  concretamente i genitori per salvare i figli dalla completa perdizione?

A - Il Figlio dell’Uomo sta per venire nella Gloria del Padre suo, con i suoi Angeli, e allora renderà a ciascuno secondo le sue azioni.
Diverse notizie ieri ci hanno fatto sobbalzare e la più sconcertante arriva dall'Iraq. Sono 100.000 infatti  i Cristiani in fuga dalle città del nord iracheno conquistate dagli jihadisti, i quali hanno anche «tolto le Croci dalle Chiese e bruciato antichi manoscritti».
 Il patriarca caldeo di Kirkuk, Louis Sako, ha parlato di «disastro umanitario» riferendosi in particolare all’episodio accaduto nella notte tra mercoledì e giovedì, dopo che i jihadisti hanno preso il controllo di CQaraqosh e di altre tre località vicine, dove vivono gran parte dei Cristiani del paese.
Continua il Patriarca con questa descrizione: «sono fuggiti con nient’altro che i loro vestiti addosso, alcuni a piedi, per raggiungere la regione del Kurdistan».
 La violenza satanica compiuta dai jihadisti non si è fermata all’assedio, ma ha raggiunto la più crudele violenza quando questi ultimi hanno bruciato 1500 antichi manoscritti Cristiani.
Da tempo è iniziato l'attacco mirato e feroce verso le Chiese Cristiane in Oriente. Innumerevoli sono stati gli attentati compiuti e  innumerevoli sono i  Cristiani vittime di questa crudeltà.
Per la loro morte nessuna condanna è pervenuta da parte delle potenze mondiali, solo qualche parola di circostanza.
Si torna poi nell’agghiacciante silenzio. Quel silenzio che uccide il ricordo di chi è morto  e lascia impuniti i colpevoli favorendoli nel loro progetto di sterminio. A questo piano di demolizione della Chiesa Cattolica cooperano anche personaggi insospettabili.
Gesù rivelò a una Mistica che la grande guerra sarebbe partita dalla sua terra, Israele, e questa Nazione non si ferma nell'uso della violenza per contrastare la violenza di Hamas, che appartiene alla Palestina ma si distingue per la violenza cieca, simile o superiore a quella degli israeliti.
Il termine Hamas significa "zelo, spirito combattente". Hamas è un Movimento Islamico di Resistenza.
E’ un'organizzazione palestinese di carattere politico, paramilitare e secondo l’Unione Europea è una organizzazione terrorista.
Lo statuto di Hamas, in particolare, prevede la cancellazione dello Stato di Israele e la creazione, al suo posto, di uno Stato islamico palestinese.
Un'altra notizia preoccupante è stata diffusa dall’italiano  Presidente della Banca Centrale Europea, che ha annunciato lo stato di recessione per il nostro Paese e che, a fronte di  questa preoccupante situazione, ha chiesto all’Italia di dare la sovranità decisionale all’Unione Europea.
Questa grave situazione economica, che già durante il disastroso governo Monti andava consolidandosi, ora viene chiaramente definita e  accertata come uno stato di fatto.
Per non parlare poi della preoccupazione che ha suscitato in noi tutti la devastante epidemia di Ebola, ieri dichiarata essere  "un'emergenza di portata mondiale".
Leggiamo, da un estratto di un importante quotidiano: «L'Organizzazione mondiale della Sanità ha deciso: l'Ebola, il micidiale virus che si sta diffondendo senza tregua in Africa occidentale, è un problema di salute pubblica internazionale. L'organizzazione dell'Onu ha dunque raccomandato misure eccezionali per fermare la trasmissione. I Paesi in cui si registra il contagio dovranno effettuare esami all'uscita degli aeroporti, nei porti marittimi e nei valichi di frontiera a tutte le persone con sintomi di febbre associabili all'ebola.
Per il segretario generale dell'OMS Margaret Chan l'epidemia è "la peggiore che si sia avuta negli ultimi 40 anni". "Le possibili conseguenze di un'ulteriore diffusione a livello internazionale sono particolarmente serie ha aggiunto Chan e l'epidemia in Africa occidentale costituisce un evento straordinario e un rischio di salute pubblica per altri Paesi". È quindi necessaria "una risposta coordinata a livello internazionale".
Al momento sono stati registrati 1.711 casi (1.070 confermati, 436 probabili, 205 sospetti), mentre almeno 932 persone sono le vittime registrate, con un tasso di mortalità del 50%.
L'epidemia ha colpito in maniera rilevante Liberia, Sierra Leone e Guinea, ma sono stati riscontrati casi anche in Nigeria. Oggi anche l'Uganda ha segnalato un caso sospetto di un uomo proveniente dal Sudan, subito messo in isolamento.
Ieri il primo europeo colpito dal virus, il 75enne sacerdote spagnolo Miguel Pajares, è stato rimpatriato e ricoverato in isolamento all'ospedale Carlo III di Madrid».
A fronte di queste dichiarazioni, ricordiamo i 100mila immigrati entrati in Italia negli ultimi 8 mesi.
Parlo di esseri umani , non di oggetti,  e in quanto tali aventi diritto a una dignità. La Comunità Europea ha il dovere di attivarsi urgentemente per aiutare questi malati adottando tutti i mezzi a sua disposizione.
Ma perché ad esempio, non possiamo aiutare gli immigrati nelle loro Nazioni o istituire strutture idonee alla loro cura in Italia?
Sono anni che l’Unione Europea lascia libero arbitrio al governo Italiano nel perseguire in continui fallimenti e scelte tanto illogiche quanto inefficaci.
Sarebbe allora più dignitoso e  corretto da parte dell’Unione Europea e da parte del nostro governo, ammettere  di esser stati spettatori sordi di una preannunciata catastrofe, favorendo con questa scelta l’invasione dei mussulmani ed esponendoci a pericoli ormai fuori controllo.
E se il virus dell'Ebola dovesse diffondersi in Italia, quale politico dovremmo ringraziare? L’iniziativa chiamata Mare Nostrum si è dimostrata un fallimento.
Noi continueremo a pregare per tutti chiedendo al Signore di preservare il bene di tutti coloro che oggi soffrono, ma Gesù è molto chiaro quando parla del Giudizio che riceverà ogni uomo: “Perché il Figlio dell’Uomo sta per venire nella Gloria del Padre suo, con i suoi Angeli, e allora renderà a ciascuno secondo le sue azioni”.

B - Prepariamoci all’incontro con Dio, vivendo nella Fede e nella spiritualità, pregando molto e conquistando la Sua fiducia. Non esiste nulla di più prezioso e importante nella nostra vita, di questo incontro.
 Accertare in sé stessi quanto sia profonda e radicata  la propria Fede è un esercizio che  pochi Cristiani applicano.
Sono davvero rari i fedeli  che si pongono la domanda sulla loro Fede, approfondendo  con il Padre spirituale il proprio stato interiore .
L'ho scritto: ognuno è dentro ciò che mostra all'esterno.
Chi di noi è sicuro della propria Fede o ha la certezza di essere in Grazia di Dio?
L’analisi e la riflessione sui nostri comportamenti dall’ultima nostra Confessione, può aiutarci a determinare il nostro stato spirituale,  ma avere piena coscienza di  quale Fede ci portiamo dentro è pressoché impossibile.
Noi piccoli umani non possiamo vedere l’invisibile , solo Dio può  entrare così profondamente in noi. E’ per questo che Dio si manifesta ad ogni Credente in modalità differenti, concedendo a qualcuno Grazie in minor tempo e chiedendo ad altri molte più Preghiere e sacrifici.
Proviamo ad interrogarci periodicamente per conoscerci meglio e, nelle nostre riflessioni, proviamo ad individuare in noi non la “perla preziosa” ma quali sono i vizi orribili che schiacciano e demoralizzano la nostra esistenza terrena fino ad annientarla nell’inutilità .
Prima di trovare la perla preziosa c'è da eliminare quanto impedisce la presenza della perla stessa!
Viviamo nella frenesia quotidiana,  e con superficialità ci abbandoniamo ai ritmi di una vita terrena e materiale  senza lasciar spazio a  riflessioni  sulla conduzione della nostra vita spirituale.
Così facendo, non arriviamo a comprendere quale dramma rappresenti invece una vita vissuta lontana da Gesù e senza la Sua protezione.
C'è forse qualcosa di più grande e importante per noi stessi che ottenere la fiducia di Gesù e vivere in comunione con Lui?
Ognuno di noi è stato reso libero di scegliere come vivere la vita che ci è stata donata.
Ci sono Cristiani che credono in Dio e lo seguono, altri che credono ma vivono lontano da Lui, altri che seguono tutto ciò che appartiene al profano.
 Nella nostra scelta dobbiamo esser consapevoli che gli effetti del nostro comportamento saranno chiari agli occhi di Dio e che ognuno di noi si muoverà in questa vita come luce riflessa della propria spiritualità.
In tale contesto anche l’inganno avrà breve durata.
A tal proposito ricordiamo dal Vangelo la parabola delle cinque vergini stolte che,  considerandosi furbe, vissero una vita lontana dalla Fede, in contrapposizione alle altre cinque sagge che, con impegno, si fecero guidare dalla Fede “come l’olio conservato nei vasetti per alimentare le lampade”.
Tutte  e dieci attendevano l'arrivo dello sposo, Gesù…nella metafora…
Quando Egli arriverà giudicherà ogni persona.
Ai molti credenti ancorati alla Fede che sapranno presentargli opere di amore e di virtù praticate nella vita, Egli elargirà grandi ricompense.
Ma Egli troverà pure moltissimi credenti privi di Fede, accecati e dissipati.
Comprendiamo quindi che siamo noi credenti a scegliere come vivere la nostra esistenza terrena, e in che modo preparare l’incontro con Gesù.
Ma è ora il tempo per pregare, molto e con profonda convinzione, di vivere la vera Fede e diventare spirituali, guadagnando giorno dopo giorno la fiducia di Gesù, perché non c’è nulla di più prezioso e importante nella nostra vita!
 Buona preghiera a tutti.

 

C – Nella fragilità, nella fatica, nelle situazioni più fastidiose, Gesù aiuta quelli che pregano e dice loro: "Sono Io, non abbiate paura".
La parabola che andiamo a leggere, descrive con incredibile semplicità che Gesù è sempre presente quando i suoi veri seguaci Lo cercano.
Gesù non ha mai abbandonato i suoi amici, mantenendo fede a quanto detto ripetute volte nel Vangelo:
"E tutto quello che chiederete con fede nella preghiera, lo otterrete" (Mt 21,22);
"Non voi avete scelto me, ma Io ho scelto voi e vi ho costituiti perché andiate e portiate frutto e il vostro frutto rimanga; perché tutto quello che chiederete al Padre nel mio Nome, ve lo conceda" (Gv 15,16);
"Ebbene Io vi dico: Chiedete e vi sarà dato, cercate e troverete, bussate e vi sarà aperto" (Lc 11,9);
"Se rimanete in me e le mie parole rimangono in voi, chiedete quel che volete e vi sarà dato" (Gv 15,7);
"Finora non avete chiesto nulla nel mio Nome. Chiedete e otterrete, perché la vostra gioia sia piena" (Gv 16,24).
"Andate dunque e ammaestrate tutte le nazioni, battezzandole nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito Santo, insegnando loro ad osservare tutto ciò che vi ho comandato. Ecco, Io sono con voi tutti i giorni, fino alla fine del mondo" (Mt 28,19-20).
Cosa può avere più valore e importanza della presenza di Dio nella nostra vita di cristiani praticanti?
Se c'è Lui accanto a noi, avremo una vita serena e gioiosa e sapremo sopportare anche le sofferenze. Se Gli apriamo il nostro cuore , vivremo con la consapevolezza che un giorno otterremo quanto chiediamo con la nostra Preghiera e  la Fede ci illuminerà trasfigurandoci con gli stessi sentimenti di Gesù.
Per quanto possiamo sforzarci, il nostro spirito umano e debole non potrà mai farci amare gli altri come invece potremmo farlo provando ad amare con lo Spirito di Gesù.
Il Vangelo oggi ci ha insegnato che i seguaci del Signore, nonostante possano aver ottenuto nella vita soddisfazioni professionali e personali, quando si abbandonano a se stessi contando solo sulle loro forze, sprofondano inesorabilmente verso un baratro dal quale non riescono a risalire.
E’ la Fede la nostra unica ancora di salvezza da quel baratro.
Agire nell’esempio  di Dio, orientare verso il Suo Nome qualsiasi nostra azione  nell’intento di ottenere  la Sua Gloria e farlo con onestà, darà un senso diverso al nostro lavoro, alle nostre amicizie e alle nostre “ambizioni” e soddisfazioni.  Quando, contrariamente, la Fede è debole o, peggio ancora,  totalmente assente, agiamo con leggerezza e superficialità, arrivando a compiere spesso azioni opposte e contrarie alla Parola di Dio.
Dio vede tutto,  e  se oggi pensiamo di aver ottenuto un discreto risultato, domani potrà essere migliore.
È Gesù che ci può salvare e condurre verso una vita migliore. E’ Lui l'appiglio sicuro a cui dobbiamo aggrapparci, e non dobbiamo illuderci di potercela fare, ricorrendo alle nostre presunte capacità, spesso sopravalutate, che ci porteranno unicamente verso l’oblio dell’onnipotenza.
Gesù vuole essere cercato, invocato con amore e con l'espressione di una Fede sincera.
Come si può raggiungere questa Fede profonda?
È un cammino umile e costante, che deve durare il tempo della nostra vita terrena.
Non possiamo dare delle scadenze alla volontà di Dio.
Ancor prima di iniziare a camminare dobbiamo rinunciare a qualsiasi progetto contrario al Suo volere; solo così potremo far breccia un giorno nel Suo cuore grande e misericordioso.
 La tempesta che descrive il Vangelo di oggi non è diversa, nel significato che porta,  da tantissime altre che ci fanno soffrire. Chiedetevi dunque come reagite dinanzi a una sofferenza : pregate con umiltà o vi arrabbiate perdendo  il controllo reagendo contro Gesù e smettendo di pregare?
La risposta che in tutta onestà  ognuno di noi darà a questa domanda, sarà la conferma della qualità della nostra Fede.
Gli Apostoli affrontarono la tempesta sulla barca e,  terrorizzati dall’assenza di Gesù, si sentirono soli e abbandonanti. Esattamente come soli sono i cristiani che non pregano bene o lo fanno ogni tanto.
Non saremo mai pronti ad affrontare e superare con il giusto spirito una prova o una sofferenza, se non impariamo a Pregare con devozione.
Pietro si affidò a Dio, invocando il Suo aiuto, solo quando, dopo un lungo cammino e pensando di potercela fare da solo, gli vennero a mancare le forze.
Il Signore arrivò comunque in suo aiuto salvandolo dall’affogamento.
Ma non abusiamo della Sua generosità e del Suo amore, perché Dio nella sua immensa bontà è anche incredibilmente giusto e sa essere severo, specialmente quando pecchiamo con leggerezza e diletto.
Se vogliamo infliggere un dolore insopportabile a Dio, è negargli la nostra fiducia. Nella fragilità, nella fatica, nelle situazioni più fastidiose, Gesù aiuta quelli che pregano e dice loro: "Sono Io, non abbiate paura".

D - Cosa fanno  concretamente i genitori per salvare i figli dalla completa perdizione?
Quando riceviamo un appunto, una critica o per meglio definirla, una correzione fraterna sul nostro comportamento e sul nostro pensiero, dobbiamo vedere in questo gesto  una manifestazione di amore nei nostri confronti.
 L’appunto che ci viene fatto da un nostro caro, o quando noi stessi correggiamo nell’atteggiamento o nelle azioni qualcun’ altro, se fatto con sincero interesse e con umiltà, è l’espressione di un atteggiamento spirituale, fraterno, una manifestazione di amore sincero verso il prossimo. 
Ci sono diversi modi per correggere gli altri, così come ci sono  momenti favorevoli per farlo. Quello che dobbiamo fare prima di un nostro intervento sul prossimo è predisporci spiritualmente , recitando il Santo Rosario.
Vediamo cosa avviene nella famiglia.
 I genitori di oggi hanno quasi definitivamente  abbandonato  la vigilanza sui figli e il senso educativo di un rimprovero salutare, quello che ogni  genitore , nel proprio ruolo e per quanto poco piacevole possa essere, è chiamato a fare.
Lasciar crescere i figli, assecondando ogni loro richiesta e facendoci anche complici di scelte quasi sempre irrazionali, non è assolutamente  un atto di amore o un gesto altruistico, ma semmai una comoda, grave e consapevole sottrazione ai doveri genitoriali.
Un adolescente non può essere autonomo nel discernere il bene dal male e ogni pensiero che offusca la sua mente  rimane un’esigenza da soddisfare.
Abbondonare i figli nella determinazione di una scelta importante, rimanere silenti e non opporsi alla frequentazione  di “amici “ poco raccomandabili o, ancora, ignorare uno stile di vita privo di qualsiasi valore fino ad arrivare spesso a sminuire atti, valutati come “adolescenziali, immaturi”, che invece disonorano nelle loro manifestazioni gli insegnamenti del Vangelo, rappresenta in ogni caso una consapevole scelta di un genitore.
La scelta di chi nega  le proprie responsabilità ignorando le conseguenze.
 E’ chiaro che nessun genitore vuole intenzionalmente danneggiare i propri figli, purtroppo però il disinteresse verso scelte discutibili e l’atteggiamento  rassegnato davanti agli errori dei giovani, porta nei fatti a risultati disastrosi e, sempre più spesso, irrimediabili.
Cari genitori, fermatevi e riflettete sullo stile di vita dei vostri figli, su quali siano i loro reali bisogni e su quali e quanto siano più o meno radicati i valori che gli avete trasferito con il vostro insegnamento.
Di sicuro non possiamo pensare che siano i media a insegnar loro valori Cristiani. Leggiamo e assistiamo a  fatti indecenti, crudeli, volgari e a una spiccata predisposizione a  vivere la vita senza freni inibitori, emulando spesso persone dello spettacolo o dello sport, cattivi maestri di questa società  e convinti  di aver raggiunto l’onnipotenza. 
Gesù è tremendo verso coloro che danno scandalo e cattivo esempio ai più deboli.
"Chi scandalizza anche uno solo di questi piccoli che credono in me, sarebbe meglio per lui che gli fosse appesa al collo una macina girata da asino, e fosse gettato negli abissi del mare" (Mt 18,6).
Cosa fanno dunque concretamente i genitori per salvare i figli dalla loro completa perdizione?
Sono pochi i genitori che dedicano tempo e cuore ai figli, troppi invece quelli che soddisfano ogni capriccio, senza rendersi conto che così facendo li inducono alla convinzione che nella vita , attraverso strumenti materiali, manovre disoneste e poco etiche, si possa raggiungere qualsiasi ambizione. 
Se concediamo ai nostri giovani e ai nostri bambini  qualsiasi capriccio, essi pretenderanno ogni giorno qualcosa in più da noi ed è per questo che, da subito, bisogna far capire loro che non tutto ciò di cui pensano di aver bisogno servirà al loro bene, non tutto ciò che piace loro è lecito, non tutto ciò che essi pensano è buono e non sempre ciò che vorrebbero si può avere.
Ci vuole fermezza quindi nel ruolo di genitori , perché solo coloro che sapranno essere forti nello spirito, sapranno concedere ai propri  figli ciò  che realmente serve al loro bene.   La fortezza è una virtù cardinale, quindi occorre pregare molto ogni giorno la Madonna con il Santo Rosario,  per acquisire la forza che serve attuare  nel ruolo genitoriale attraverso un sano comportamento con i figli giovani e i bambini. Buona preghiera a tutti.

E – Le Ultime Sette Parole Pronunciate da Gesù Sulla Croce
PRIMA PAROLA
"PADRE, PERDONA LORO, PERCHÉ NON SANNO QUELLO CHE FANNO"
La prima parola che Gesù pro¬nuncia è un'invocazione di per¬dono che egli rivolge al Padre per i suoi crocifissori.
Il perdo¬no di Dio alla nostra supplica significa che osiamo affrontare ciò che abbiamo fat¬to.
Osiamo ricordare tutto della nostra vita, i fallimenti e le sconfitte , le nostre debolez¬ze e la mancanza d'amore.
Osia¬mo rammentare tutte le volte in cui siamo stati meschini e inge¬nerosi, e la bassezza morale delle nostre azioni.
Consapevole di quanto sopra, personalmente accetto tutto, anche le incomprensioni della povera gente che mi cerca solo per il pane.
A volte mi sembra di essere senza fiato .... Capisco che devo sempre dare bontà, perdono , pazienza, misericordia. Come è vero che dal cuore di Gesù sulla croce è uscito solo amore e perdono .... guardo e desidero guardare solo a Lui.
A volte stringo il crocifisso che porto al collo solo con questo desiderio.

SECONDA PAROLA

"IN VERITA IO TI DICO: OGGI SARAI CON ME NEL PARADISO" (Lc 23,43)
 
La tradizione è stata saggia a chiamarne uno "buon ladrone". È una definizione appropriata, poiché lui sa come impossessar¬si di ciò che non è suo: "Gesù, ricordati di me quando entrerai nel tuo regno" (Lc 23,42).
Mette a segno il più strabiliante colpo della storia: ottiene il Paradiso, la felicità senza misura, e lo ot¬tiene senza pagare per entrarvi. Come possiamo fare noi tutti. Dobbiamo solo apprendere ad osare i doni di Dio.
Avrei desiderato essere accanto ad ognuno dei ragazzi che ricevono Gesù nel loro cuore, per la prima volta nella loro vita.
Siate raccolti, devoti, GESÙ', e il bene più prezioso, l'amico più sincero, viene nel vostro cuore per donarvi tutto il suo amore, per dire ad ognuno: "vengo a salvarti, dammi la tua mano."
Il miracolo di Gesù lo porterete nel vostro cuore, e più starete attaccati a lui, più sarete testimoni suoi. Gesù è l'amore, se sarete sempre uniti a lui, imparerete ad amare.
Gesù è l'unico amico fedele che ci può salvare, obbedite solo a lui, non traditelo mai, ogni volta che sentite di averlo offeso, chiedete perdono, confessatevi.
Gesù è il pane che si lascia mangiare per amore.

TERZA PAROLA

"DONNA, ECCO TUO FIGLIO! ECCO TUA MADRE!" (Gv 19,26-27)

Nel Venerdì Santo vi è stata la dissoluzione della comunità di Gesù.
Giuda lo ha venduto, Pie¬tro lo ha rinnegato. Sembra che tutte le fatiche di Gesù per edifi¬care una comunità siano fallite. E nel momento più buio, vedia¬mo questa comunità nascere ai piedi della croce. Gesù dà alla madre un figlio e al discepolo prediletto una madre. Non è una comunità qualunque, è la nostra comunità. Questa è la nascita della Chiesa.
“mi rimane nel cuore una gran solitudine e tristezza per le persone care lasciate. Le affido ogni giorno alla Madonna”.

QUARTA PAROLA

"DIO MIO, DIO MIO, PERCHÉ MI HAI ABBANDONATO?" (Mc 15,34)

Improvvisamente per la perdita di una persona cara la nostra vita ci appare distrutta e senza sco¬po.
"Perché? Perché? Dov'è Dio ora?". E noi osiamo essere ter¬rorizzati nel renderci conto che non abbiamo nulla da dire. Ma se le parole che affiorano sono di assoluta angoscia, allora ricordia¬mo che sulla croce Gesù le fece sue.
E quando, nella desolazio¬ne, non sappiamo trovare nessu¬na parola, nemmeno per gridare, allora possiamo prendere le sue parole:
"Dio mio, Dio mio, per¬ché mi hai abbandonato?".
Guardo Gesù, doveva morire per salvare noi uomini e per difendere Suo Padre.
Il diavolo non potrà fare mai nulla contro lo scandalo della Croce.
Ecco perché in questo mondo così comodo, così sviluppato e proteso a star bene ci sento il puzzo del serpente antico. Mi sbaglierò? Ho il desiderio di abbandonarmi a ciò che il Signore vorrà. So solo che devo essere soldato di Gesù in qualsiasi luogo mi trovo. Non ho nulla da difendere di mio. Vorrei solo imparare a morire, staccandomi da ogni desiderio umano.

QUINTA PAROLA
"HO SETE" (Gv 19,28)

Nel Vangelo di Giovanni, Gesù incontra la donna samaritana a un pozzo del patriarca Giacobbe e le dice: "Dammi da bere".
Al principio e alla fine del raccon¬to della sua vita pubblica, Gesù ci chiede con insistenza di sod¬disfare la sua sete.
Ecco come Dio viene a noi, sotto le spoglie di una persona assetata che ci chiede di aiutarlo a dissetarsi al pozzo del nostro amore, qualun¬que sia la qualità e la quantità di tale amore.
Solo se voglio bene, se mi prendo a cuore le sofferenze della gente, le faccio mie, posso fare entrare nell'animo dei fedeli questa sete di Dio.

SESTA PAROLA

"TUTTO È COMPIUTO" (Gv 19,30)

"È compiuto!". Il grido di Ge¬sù non significa solo che tutto è finito e che ora lui morirà. È un grido di trionfo. Significa: "È completato!". Ciò che lui di¬ce letteralmente è:  “E’ reso perfetto”
All'inizio dell'Ultima Cena l'evangelista Giovanni ci dice che "avendo amato i suoi che erano nel mondo, li amò sino alla fine", cioè all'estremo delle sue possibilità. Sulla croce vediamo tale estremo, la perfe¬zione dell'amore.

SETTIMA PAROLA

"PADRE, NELLE TUE MANI CONSEGNO IL MIO SPIRITO" (Lc 23,46)

Gesù ha pronunciato le sue ulti¬me sette parole che invocano il perdono e che conducono alla nuova creazione della "Dome¬nica di Pasqua".
E poi riposa in attesa che finisca questo lungo sabato della storia e giunga fi-nalmente la domenica senza tra¬monto, quando l'umanità intera entrerà nel suo riposo.
"Allora Dio nel settimo giorno portò a termine il lavoro che aveva fat¬to e cessò nel settimo giorno da ogni suo lavoro" (Gen 2,2).
Le ultime parole di una persona sono particolarmente affascinanti.
Per noi essere vivi significa stare in comunicazione con gli altri. In questo senso, la morte non è solo la fine della vita, è silenzio per sempre.
Pertanto ciò che diciamo davanti al silenzio imminente della morte è particolarmente rivelatore. Leggeremo con questa attenzione le ultime parole di Gesù, come quelle annunciate dal Verbo di Dio prima del silenzio della sua morte.
Sono le sue ultime parole sul Padre suo, su di sé e su di noi, che proprio perché ultime hanno una singolare capacità di rivelare chi è il Padre, chi è lui e chi siamo noi.
Che la tomba non inghiotti queste ultime sette parole. Esse vivono ancora.
La nostra fede nella Risurrezione significa che la morte non riuscì a far tacere il Verbo di Dio, che egli ha infranto per sempre il silenzio della tomba, di qualun-que tomba, e che per questo le sue sono parole di vita per chiunque le accoglie.
All'inizio della Settimana Santa, davanti all'Eucaristia, le ria¬scoltiamo nella preghiera adorante, affinché ci preparino ad accogliere con fede il dono della Pasqua.

A - The Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then He will render to each according to his or her actions.

B - let us prepare ourselves to the encounter with God, living in Faith and spirituality, praying and winning His trust. There is nothing more  precious and important in our lives, of this meeting.

C – In the fragility, in toil, in the situations most troublesome, Jesus helps those who pray and says to them: "I am, do not be afraid".

D - What do the parents do concretely to save the children from the complete ruin?

A - Several news reports yesterday we were made to jump, and the more disconcerting comes from Iraq. There are 100,000, in fact, Christians fleeing from the cities of northern Iraq, won by jihadists, who also have "removed the Crosses from the Churches and burned the ancient manuscripts".
The Chaldean Patriarch of Kirkuk, Louis Sako, spoke of " humanitarian disaster" referring in particular to the incident that happened in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, after that the jihadists have taken control of CQaraqosh and three other towns, where most of the Christians in the country live.
Continues the Patriarch with this description: "have fled with nothing else that their outfits, some on foot, to reach the region of Kurdistan".
 The satanic violence done by jihadists did not stop to the siege, but has reached the most cruel violence when they have burned 1500 ancient Christian manuscripts.
Since a long time began the targeted and fierce attack toward the Christian Churches in the East. Countless were the bombings and countless are Christians victims of this cruelty.
For their death no condemnation has been received by the world powers, only a few words of circumstance.
Then back in the terrifying silence. Silence that kills the remembrance of those who died and leaves unpunished criminals favoring them in their project of extermination. To this plan of demolition of the Catholic Church also cooperate mingling characters.
Jesus revealed to a Mystique that the great war would have started from his land, Israel, and this Nation does not stop the use of violence to fight violence of Hamas, which belongs to Palestine but is distinguished by the blind violence, similar or superior to that of the Israelites.
The term Hamas means "zeal, fighting spirit". Hamas is an Islamic Movement of Resistance.
It is an Palestinian organization of political and paramilitary character, and according to the European Union is a terrorist organization .
The statute of Hamas, in particular, provides for the cancellation of the State of Israel and the creation, in its place, of the Islamic State Palestinian.
Another worrying news has been spread by the Italian President of the European Central Bank, which has announced a state of recession for our Country, and that, in the face of this worrying situation, has requested Italy to give the sovereignty of decision-making to the European Union.
This serious economic situation, that was consolidating already during the disastrous government of Monti, now it is clearly defined and established as a state of fact.
Not to mention the concern that has awakened in us all the devastating outbreak of  Ebola, yesterday declared to be  "a global emergency".
We read, from an extract of an important daily newspaper: "The World Health Organization has decided: the Ebola, the deadly virus that is spreading relentlessly in west Africa, is a problem of international public health. The organization of the UN has therefore recommended exceptional measures to stop transmission. The countries in which the contagion is recorded should carry out examinations at the output of the airports, sea ports and border crossings to all those people with symptoms of fever associated with Ebola.
For the secretary general of the WHO Margaret Chan, the epidemic is "the worst that there has been in the past 40 years." " The possible consequences of further spread at international level are particularly serious has added Chan and the epidemic in west Africa is an extraordinary event and a risk of public health in other Countries".  It is therefore necessary  "a coordinated response at international level".
At the time were recorded 1,711 cases (1,070 confirmed, 436 likely, 205 suspected), while at least 932 people are the victims registered, with a mortality rate of 50 %.
The epidemic has struck in a relevant way Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, but cases were observed also in Nigeria. Today, also the Uganda reported a suspected case of a man from Sudan, immediately put in isolation.
Yesterday, the first European hit by the virus, the 75-year old Spanish priest Miguel Pajares, was repatriated and hospitalized in isolation in the hospital Carlo III of Madrid".
In the face of these statements, let us remember the 100thousand immigrants have entered Italy in the last 8 months.
I’m referring to human beings, not objects,  and as such entitled to dignity. The European Community has a duty to take action urgently to help these sick people by adopting all the means at its disposal .
But why we cannot, for example, help immigrants in their nations or establish appropriate structures to their care in Italy?
These were the years that the EU leaves free will with the Italian government in pursuing continuing failure and choices so illogical as they are ineffective.
It would be then more  dignified and  proper on the part of the European Union and part of our government, admit to have been deaf spectators of a foretold disaster, encouraging with this choice the invasion of Muslim and exposing ourselves to dangers now out of control.
And if the virus of the Ebola should spread in Italy, which politician should we thank? The initiative called Mare Nostrum has proved to be a failure .
We will continue to pray for all asking the Lord to preserve the good of all those who today are suffering, but Jesus is very clear when he speaks about the Judgment that will receive every man: "For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then render to each according to his deeds".

B - Ascertain in themselves how  both deep and rooted their own Faith is  an exercise that few Christians apply.
Very rare are the faithful who pose the question on their Faith, studying with the spiritual Father their own interior state.
I wrote: everyone is inside what he shows on the outside.
Who of us is not sure of its own Faith or has the certainty of being in God's grace?
The analysis of and reflection on our behavior from our last Confession, can help us to determine our spiritual state, but having full consciousness of which Faith we bring inside is almost impossible.
We little humans cannot see the invisible, only God can enter so deeply in us. It is for this that God manifests himself to every believer in different ways, giving someone Graces in less time and asking other many more prayers and sacrifices.
Let us try to ask periodically ourselves questions in order to know each other better and, in our thinking , try to locate in us not the "precious pearl" but what are the horrible vices that overwhelm and demoralize our earthly existence up to crush in the pointlessness.
Before finding the precious pearl we need to eliminate what prevents the presence of the pearl itself!
We live in frenetic activity ,  and with superficiality we abandon ourselves to the rhythms of an earthly and material life  without leaving space for reflections on the conduct of our spiritual life.
In doing so, we do not include  which drama is instead a life lived far from Jesus and without His protection.
There is perhaps something more important for ourselves to gain the trust of Jesus and to live in communion with Him?
Each of us has been made free to choose how to live the life that has been given to us.
There are Christians who believe in God and follow him, others who believe but live far from Him, others that follow everything that belongs to the uninitiated.
 In our choice we need to be aware that the effects of our behavior will be clear in the eyes of God and that each of us will move in this life as reflected light of its spirituality.
In this context also the deception will be short-lived.
To this regard we remember from the Gospel parable of the five foolish virgins,  who considering themselves sly, lived a life away from the Faith, as opposed to the other five wise that, with commitment, they were guided by the Faith "as the oil kept in jars to feed the lamps".
All ten awaited the arrival of the bridegroom, Jesus…in the metaphor ...
When He will arrive he will judge every person.
To many believers anchored to the Faith that will submit works of love and virtues practiced in life, He will bestow great rewards.
But He will find also many believers without Faith, blinded and allayed.
We understand, therefore, that are us believers to choose how to live our earthly existence, and in which way prepare the encounter with Jesus.
But now it is the time to pray, very and with deep conviction, to live the true faith and become spiritual, gaining day after day the trust of Jesus, because there is nothing more precious and important in our lives!

C - The parable that we are going to read, describes with amazing simplicity that Jesus is always present when his true followers seek Him.
Jesus has never abandoned his friends, keeping faith to what has been said several times in the Gospel:
"And that whatever you ask  in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" (Mt 21,22 );
"Ye have not chosen me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit will remain; so that everything that you ask the Father in my Name, he may give" (Jn 15.16 );
"And I say unto you, Ask  and it shall be given you; seek,  and ye shall find; knock, and  it will be opened" (Lk 11,9 );
"If you abide in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you will and it  will be given to you" ( Jn 15,7 );
"Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name. Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full" (Jn 16.24 ).
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you all days, until the end of the world" (Mt 28.19 -20).
What may have more value and importance of the presence of God in our life as Christians practicing?
If He is there beside us, we will have a peaceful and joyful life and we will withstand even the suffering. If we open our hearts, we will live with the awareness that one day we will get what we ask in our Prayer and Faith will enlighten us  transfiguring us with the same feelings of Jesus.
As far as we can try, our human and weak spirit it will never  make us love one another as we may do so by trying to love with the Spirit of Jesus.
The Gospel today  has taught us that the followers of the Lord, though they may  have obtained in the life professional and personal satisfaction, when they abandon to themselves by relying only on their forces, are being crippled inexorably toward an abyss from which they cannot be traced.
It is the Faith our only hope of salvation from that abyss.
Act in the example of God, orient toward His Name any of our action in an effort to get His Glory, and do so with honesty, will give a different meaning to our work, our friendships and our "ambitions" and satisfactions. When, in contrast, Faith is weak or, worse still,  totally absent, we act with lightness and superficiality, arriving to make often opposite actions and contrary to the Word of God.
God sees everything, and if today  we think that we have obtained a fair outcome, tomorrow will be better.
It is Jesus that can save us  and lead toward a better life. He is the safe handgrip to which we must cling, and we must not  delude ourselves that we can do, by resorting to our alleged capacity, often overvalued, which will take us only toward the oblivion of omnipotence.
Jesus wants to be searched, invoked with love and with the expression of a sincere Faith.
How can you reach this deep Faith?
It is a humble and constant path, that should last for the time of our earthly life.
We cannot give the deadlines to the will of God.
Even before you begin to walk we must renounce any project to be contrary to His will; only then we will be able to penetrate, one day, in his heart great and merciful.
 The storm that describes the Gospel today is no different, in his meaning, from a lot of other that make us suffer. Then ask yourself how you react in the face of a suffering : do you pray with humility or do you angry losing control and reacting against Jesus and ceasing to pray?
The answer that in all honesty each of us give  to this question, it will be the confirmation of the quality of our Faith.
The Apostles rode the storm on the boat and,  being terrorized by the absence of Jesus, they felt alone and abandoned. Exactly how are Christians who do not pray well or do it from time to time.
We will never be ready to confront and overcome with the right spirit a test or suffering, if we do not learn to pray with devotion.
Peter, entrusted himself to God, invoking His help, only when, after a long journey and thinking to be able to do it by himself, he lost his strength.
The Lord however arrived to his aid by saving him from drowning.
But we should not make overuse of  His generosity and His love, because God in his great goodness, is also incredibly fair and knows how to be severe, especially when we sin with lightness and pleasure.
If we want to impose an unbearable sorrow to God, is deny our confidence to Him. In frailty, in toil, in the situations most troublesome, Jesus helps those who pray and says to them : "am I, do not be afraid".

D - When we receive a note, a criticism or to better define it, a fraternal correction  on our behavior and our thoughts, we must see in this gesture a manifestation of love toward us.
 The note that is done to us by one of our dear, or when we ourselves we correct in the attitude or actions someone else, if done with sincere interest and with humility, is the expression of a spiritual attitude, fraternal, a manifestation of sincere love toward the neighbor. 
There are several ways to correct the other, just as there are good times to do so. What we need to do before our intervention on the neighbor is predispose ourselves spiritually, reciting the Rosary.
Let's see what happens in the family.
 Nowadays the parents have almost completely abandoned the supervision of their children, and the educational sense of a reproof of life, what every parent , in his role and for how little pleasant can be, is called to do.
Leave grow the children, assisting their every request and even making us  accomplices of choices almost always irrational, it is absolutely not an act of love or a gesture altruistic, but rather a convenient, serious and aware subtraction to parenting duties.
An adolescent may not be autonomous to discern good from evil and every thought that tarnishes his mind remains a requirement to be met.
Abandon the children to perform an important choice, remain silent and not to oppose the frequentation of  disreputable "friends" or, still, ignore a lifestyle devoid of any value until you come often to diminish acts, evaluated as "adolescent, immature", which instead dishonor in their events the teachings of the Gospel, represents in any case a conscious choice of a parent.
The choice of those who deny their responsibilities while ignoring the consequences.
 It is clear that no parent wants to intentionally damage their children, but, sadly, the disinterest to questionable choices and attitude toward resigned before the errors of youth, lead in facts to disastrous results and more and more often, irreparable.
Dear parents, stop and reflect on the lifestyle of your children, on what are their real needs and on what are more or less deeply rooted  the values that you transferred to them with your teaching.
For sure we must not think that they are the media to teach them Christian values. We read and we are witnessing to facts indecent, cruel, vulgar and to a strong predilection to live the life without brakes inhibitors, often emulating people of the show or the sport, bad teachers of this society, convinced they have reached the omnipotence. 
Jesus is terrible to those who give scandal and bad example to the most vulnerable.
"And whosoever shall cause even one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for him to have hanging on the neck a great millstone ass, and he cast into the depths of the sea" ( Mt 18,6 ).
What do they do therefore specifically parents to save their children from their complete  perdition?
There are a few parents who dedicate time and heart to the children, too many instead, those who fulfill every whim, without realizing that in doing so cause them to the belief that in life , through material instruments, dishonest and unethical maneuvers, it can reach almost any ambition. 
If we grant to our young people and our children any whim, they will demand every day something more to us, and it is for this reason that, by now, we must make them understand that not everything they think they need will be useful to their good, not everything that they want is licit, not everything that they think  is good, and not always what they would like they may have.
We then need firmness in the parental role, because only those who will know how to be strong in the spirit, they will be able to give their children what really serves their well-being. The fortress  is a cardinal virtue, and then we must pray very every day the Madonna with the Holy Rosary, to acquire the force that serves implement in parental role through a healthy behavior with the young people and children.
Good prayer at all.
E - The Seven last  words of Jesus on the Cross
FIRST WORD
"FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, BECAUSE THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO"
The first word that Jesus says is an act of forgiveness which he addresses to the Father for his murderers.
The forgiveness of God to our supplication means that we dare to face what we have done.
We dare to remember all of our life, the failures and defeats , our weaknesses and lack of love.
We dare to remember all the times we have been mean-spirited and ungenerous, and the low moral standards of our actions..
Aware of the above, I accept everything, even the misunderstandings of the poor people that search me only for the bread.
Sometimes it seems to me to be without breath .... I understand that I must always give goodness, forgiveness, patience, mercy. As it is true that from the heart of Jesus on the cross  came out only love and forgiveness .... I look and I like to look only to Him.
Sometimes I clasp the crucifix that port to the neck only with this desire.

SECOND WORD

"VERILY I SAY UNTO THEE: TODAY SHALT THOU BE WITH ME IN PARADISE" (Lk 23.43 )
 
The tradition has been wise to call one "good thief".  It is an appropriate definition, because he knows how take possession of  what is not his: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom" (Lc 23,42).
He scores the most amazing shot of the story: he gets the Paradise, the happiness without measure, and gets it without having to pay to enter. How can we do all of us. We just need to learn and to dare the gifts of God.
I wanted to be next to each one of the boys who receive Jesus in their hearts, for the first time in their lives.
Be collected, devoted, JESUS', is the most valuable asset, your more sincere friend, he comes into your heart to give you all his love, to say to everyone: "I come to your rescue, give me your hand."
You will bear the miracle of Jesus in your heart, and more you will stay close to him, the more you will be his witnesses. Jesus is love, if you will be always united with him, you will learn to love.
Jesus is the only faithful friend who can save us, obey only to him, never betray him, every time that you feel that you have offended him, ask for forgiveness, make your confession.
Jesus is the bread that you eat for love.

THIRD WORD

"WOMAN, BEHOLD YOUR SON! BEHOLD YOUR MOTHER" (Jn 19.26 -27).

On Good Friday there was the dissolution of the community of Jesus.
Judas sold him, Peter denied him. It seems that all of the hard work of Jesus to build up a community has failed. And in the darkest moment, we see this community be born at the foot of the cross. Jesus gives to the mother a son, and to the beloved disciple  a mother. It is not a community like any other, it is our community. This is the birth of the Church.
"remains in my heart a great solitude and sadness for the loved ones left. I entrust them every day to Our Lady".

FOURTH WORD

"MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME'" (Mk 15.34 )

Suddenly for the loss of a beloved person our life appears to us destroyed without scope.
"Why? Why is that? Where is God now? ".  And we dare to be terrified in the realization that we have nothing to say. But if the words that emerge are of absolute anguish, then remember that on the cross Jesus made them his.
And when, in the desolation, we know not find any word, even to cry, then we can take his words:
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?".
I look at Jesus, had to die to save us men and for defending his Father.
The devil can do nothing against the scandal of the Cross.
That is why in this world that is so convenient, so developed and revolved to the wellness I feel the smell of the old serpent. Am I wrong? I have the desire to forsake me to what the Lord desires. I only know that I need to be soldiers of Jesus in any place I can find. I have nothing to defend of my own. I would only learn to die, detaching myself  from every human desire.

FIFTH WORD
"I THIRST" (Jn 19.28 )

In the Gospel of John, Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well of the patriarch Jacob and says to her: "Give me a drink".
At the beginning and end of the story of his public life, Jesus urges us to satisfy his thirst.
This is how God comes to us, in the guise of a thirsty person who asks us to help him to drink from the well of our love, whatever the quality and quantity of such love.
Only if I love you, if I take to heart the sufferings of the people, I make my own, I can get in the faithful this thirst for God.

SIXTH WORD

"EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED" (Jn 19.30 )

"It’s done."  The cry of Jesus does not just mean that everything is over and that now he will die. It is a cry of triumph. It means: "It is completed!". What he says is literally: "It's made perfect"
At the beginning of the Last Supper, the evangelist John tells us that "having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end", that is the extreme of its possibilities. On the cross we see this extreme, the perfection of love.

SEVENTH WORD

"FATHER, INTO THY HANDS I COMMEND MY SPIRIT" (Lk 23.46 )

Jesus pronounced his last seven words that invoke forgiveness and that lead to the creation of new "Easter Sunday".
And then rests waiting for it to finish this long Saturday of the story and finally reaches the Sunday without end, when all humanity will enter into his rest.
"Then the seventh day God ended his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work" (Gen 2.2).
The last words of a person are especially fascinating.
For us to be alive means to be in communication with others. In this sense, death is not only the end of life, is silent forever.
Therefore what we say before the silence of imminent death is particularly revealing. We will read this with attention the last words of Jesus, such as those announced by the Word of God before the silence of his death.
They are his last words to his Father, on themselves and on us, that just because the past have a unique ability to reveal who the Father is, who he is and who we are.
That the tomb not swallow these last seven words. They still live.
Our faith in the Resurrection means that death could not silence the Word of God, which he has broken forever the silence of the grave, of any tomb, and that is why his words are of life for anyone who receives them.
At the beginning of Holy Week, before the Eucharist, hear them again in the prayer of adoration, so we prepare to welcome with faith the gift of Easter.
