Catechesi N. 47
A - Gesù può saziare la fame spirituale e materiale presente in ogni persona. "Beati quelli che hanno fame e sete della giustizia, perché saranno saziati" (Mt 5,6). Non c'è nulla che Gesù non possa saziare in noi, chiediamoci sempre però se abbiamo almeno 5 pani e 2 pesci da consegnargli, ovvero un cuore buono e sincero per rallegrare Lui e permettergli di compiere meraviglie in noi!
B - Gesù ci viene sempre incontro quando Lo invochiamo, anche se spesso egli non viene riconosciuto e la confusione arreca in noi il turbamento.
C - Spesso chiudiamo gli occhi davanti a molteplici eventi palesemente gravi e contraddittori per premiare, con un confuso consenso, la parola che ci è piaciuto sentire. Gesù non ha mai smesso di allertarci su quanto accadrà presto nel Mondo: “ogni pianta che non è stata piantata dal Padre mio celeste, verrà sradicata".
D - Anche noi siamo discepoli di Gesù ed anche noi siamo chiamati a diventare segno della Sua presenza nel mondo! Ma in che modo noi mostriamo Gesù agli altri?
E – E’ imprudente e poco spirituale cercare di condizionare la volontà di Dio, anche con argomentazioni apparentemente necessarie.

Non c'è nulla che Gesù non possa saziare in noi, chiediamoci sempre però se abbiamo almeno 5 pani e 2 pesci da consegnargli, ovvero un cuore buono e sincero per rallegrare Lui e permettergli di compiere meraviglie in noi!
La cultura Cattolica da sempre assimila l’immagine del Signore all’immagine di Colui che sazia. Il messaggio che il Signore con il suo infinito Amore vuole trasmetterci è che non potranno essere saziati della propria fame e della propria sete coloro che perdono di vista il valore e il senso spirituale che il Vangelo vuole dare a questi bisogni : "Beati quelli che hanno fame e sete della giustizia, perché saranno saziati" (Mt 5,6).
Gesù distingue i significati di fame e sete, anche se sono indubitabilmente orientati verso la stessa fonte e finalità. La fame, quella che solo Dio può saziare, è quella che nutre e sostiene i credenti in un autentico e determinato cammino di Fede. Anche la fame che indica la necessità di soddisfare le esigenze del corpo e della mente deve essere saziata, per sostenerci in questo cammino .
Diversa e pericolosa è la fame dell’ambizione e del possesso ovvero quella che si nutre di sentimenti quali l’orgoglio, l’invidia e la superbia.
Gesù ci insegna ad aver fame e sete di giustizia, e associa i due fabbisogni corporali per elevare la giustizia a vessillo del cristiano autentico. La giustizia è verso Dio e verso gli uomini. Non può esistere una senza l'altra, come anche non si può avere fame di Dio e sete del diavolo. Giustizia agli occhi di Dio, significa riconoscergli il dono della vita che ci ha dato e che è Lui che ci ha creati ed a Lui dobbiamo tutto. La nostra vita cammina mano nella mano con la giustizia ogni qualvolta Lo onoriamo, ogni qualvolta Lo serviamo, e quando riusciamo a compiere tutto ciò liberi dalla schiavitù dell’orgoglio, della superbia, dell’invidia o da qualsiasi altro vizio che ci porta lontano da Lui.
Giustizia, è la sincera osservanza della sua Parola e ogni volta che riusciamo a mettere Dio al centro della nostra vita, e ci comportiamo come Lui ci ha chiesto di fare, Lo ricompensiamo con l’amore che merita. Dio entra in noi, nel nostro cuore e nella nostra vita, quando riusciamo a vivere in sintonia con Lui e nel suo esempio, attraverso gli insegnamenti del Vangelo.
Ogni uomo, figlio di Dio, vorrebbe trovare nella propria quotidianità, tra le persone che incontra e negli ambienti che frequenta, la giustizia, l'onestà, l’imparzialità.
Il Mondo oggi, che ha perso tutti questi valori, ne è più che mai affamato e bisognoso. Ci basti pensare alla crisi economica del nostro secolo che, oltre alle Nazioni già povere, ha fatto conoscere anche all’Occidente cosa voglia dire aver fame, cosa voglia dire piangere e lottare ogni giorno per la sopravvivenza.
Nel mondo è assente qualsiasi forma di giustizia e la sua presenza è diventata ormai più vitale del cibo.
Per riprenderci la gioia di vivere e tornare a far parte di un Mondo dove prevalgano la giustizia e l’onestà, abbiamo bisogno che Dio sia più che mai severo con noi e che riesca a scuoterci al punto tale da costringerci a rinsavire.
Possiamo sopravvivere agli sforzi che siamo chiamati a sostenere, ma non possiamo sopravvivere alle ingiustizie sociali e alle umiliazioni che queste portano in sé.
Ripensiamo e riflettiamo sulla fame del popolo che seguì Gesù.
Migliaia di persone, vestiti solamente di una vera fame corporale, abbandonarono tutto per seguirlo e ascoltare dal Signore la sua Parola anche se mancava il cibo per sfamare tutti. Gesù decise a quel punto di compiere un Miracolo straordinario, chiedendo ai suoi discepoli di sedersi e di mettersi in una posizione di accoglienza, e non solo per ricevere il cibo di cui sfamarsi.
Per ascoltare la Parola di Dio, che non fa’ rumore ma è una voce sottile e silenziosa, dobbiamo predisporci ad accoglierla, a percepirla in ogni suo sibilo e, per farlo, è necessario creare in noi e attorno a noi il silenzio. È un grande sforzo quello che ci viene chiesto di fare per accogliere con onore e rispetto la parola del Signore, ma quando impareremo a farlo, quando riusciremo a percepire la presenza di Dio in noi e attorno a noi, nulla ci potrà più distrarre e, anzi, faremo fatica ad alzarci da terra e ad interrompere il nostro dialogo con Lui.
Per Pregare con impegno ed umiltà, dobbiamo chiedere a Gesù di aiutarci ad allontanare i pensieri inutili, le distrazioni, la frustrante dipendenza dalle cose terrene e materiali.
Dobbiamo dedicare a questa azione il silenzio, prestando attenzione a farlo con calma, in una posizione comoda che possa aiutare anche il nostro corpo alla concentrazione e all’incontro con Dio.
Ogni giorno dovremmo trovare almeno un’ora per meditare la parola di Dio, attraverso la lettura dei libri Sacri.
Gesù moltiplicò i pani e i pesci per il suo popolo, solo dopo aver visto il suo sincero impegno e sacrificio dinnanzi alla fame, perché questo è ciò che ci insegna il Vangelo, e cioè superare le difficoltà senza mai perdere la fiducia in Dio.
Quando Gesù chiese quanti pani e pesci erano rimasti, gli apostoli risposero rispettivamente 5 e 2, un numero evidentemente irrisorio per sfamare tutti. Chiediamoci quindi: Gesù avrebbe compiuto quello straordinario Miracolo se non si fossero trovati neanche 5 pani e 2 pesci?
Gesù non compie miracoli in noi e per noi se non Gli facciamo trovare almeno un poco di vera spiritualità, e non potrà donarci nulla se non Gli avremo fatto alcuna donazione personale.
E così, anche ogni genitore dovrebbe riferirsi all’esempio di Gesù ed essere esigente con i propri figli, chiedendo loro di frequentare la Messa , di comportarsi nella vita di tutti i giorni nell’osservanza di quanto il Signore ci ha impartito con i Comandamenti, di mostrare sempre buona educazione e il rispetto verso tutti, di praticare i valori morali, di assolvere gli impegni familiari, scolastici, lavorativi.
Invece i giorni che stiamo vivendo, le crudeltà che ogni giorno sentiamo e vediamo attorno a noi, indicano che questo è il tempo in cui satana è il principe del mondo. Eppure verrà un tempo in cui anche i potenti del mondo, oggi seguaci fedelissimi di satana, lo vedranno crollare schiacciato sotto al calcagno della Santa Madre di Dio e solo allora capiranno che solo Gesù è Colui che può saziare ogni fame e ogni sete, e con la discesa dello Spirito Santo, sosterrà i buoni in ogni angolo della terra. Si pentiranno allora miseramente, di essersi fatti portavoce di una dottrina opposta e contraria al Cristianesimo e a loro resterà solo il tormento eterno del rimorso.
Moltissimi tra noi si definiscono ”Cristiani” e riconoscono solo teoricamente l'Onnipotenza di Gesù, poiché troppo dediti ai piaceri mondani e realmente poco interessati alla vita spirituale. I veri Cristiani sono coloro che riconoscono nel Signore l’unica salvezza, l’Unico in grado, con il Suo Amore, di sfamarci tutti e renderci felici in questa vita, felici anche di portare sulle spalle qualche sofferenza.
Gesù può saziare la fame spirituale e materiale presente in ogni persona.
Quel pane, offerto con un Miracolo a migliaia di persone affamate e sedute sull'erba fiduciose in Gesù, ci rammenta che, così come il Figlio di Dio si è consegnato alla morte per amore nostro, allo stesso modo Egli rimarrà presente nel Pane Eucaristico e in noi, attraverso la Comunione. L’incontro con il Corpo di Cristo è tutta la nostra gioia e consolazione. Ricordiamoci quindi che è indispensabile, per un vero Cristiano, l’adorazione davanti al Tabernacolo.
Non c'è nulla che Gesù non possa saziare in noi, chiediamoci sempre però se abbiamo almeno 5 pani e 2 pesci da consegnargli, ovvero un cuore buono e sincero per rallegrare Lui e permettergli di compiere meraviglie in noi!

B - Gesù ci viene sempre incontro quando Lo invochiamo, anche se spesso egli non viene riconosciuto e la confusione arreca in noi il turbamento. Il ciclo liturgico fa coincidere il Vangelo di oggi come prosecuzione di quello di ieri, domenica, e quindi è inserito in uno dei tre anni liturgici A, B, C. Adesso ci troviamo nell'anno A e stiamo seguendo il Vangelo di Matteo, l'anno B invece presenta il Vangelo di Marco e l'anno C quello di Luca.
Il Vangelo di Giovanni Apostolo ed Evangelista non è un sinottico e quindi si legge nei tempi forti come la Quaresima e la Pasqua.
Giovanni è raffigurato da un'aquila, e il suo Vangelo è molto spirituale e supera la nostra capacità di comprensione. Senza una buona guida si possono confondere i suoi significati. Sappiamo che l'aquila è l’uccello che vola più in alto di tutti gli altri volatili, ed allo stesso modo Giovanni si è elevato molto sui suoi consimili ed ha visto lontano.
Il Santo di oggi è il Patrono dei parroci: il Santo Curato d'Ars. Un uomo poco istruito ma pienamente innamorato di Gesù e di Maria. I carismi che ricevette da Dio richiamarono milioni di fedeli nella cittadina ove operava e che contava solo 300 abitanti, e tutti vennero trasformati in nuove creature, beneficiando della sua intercessione.
Ciò sta a dimostrare che ove c'è un vero cristiano che prega lì avvengono miracoli.
La Parola di oggi spiega la presenza di Gesù anche quando i credenti non Lo avvertono.
Dopo avere sfamato migliaia di persone con la poderosa moltiplicazione dei pani e dei pesci, al punto che ne avanzarono dodici ceste, Gesù si recò in un luogo solitario per rimanere in silenzio. Nonostante la sua assoluta potenza contemplativa, egli sentiva la necessità fisica di stare in disparte e parlare al Padre.
Gesù se ne stava da solo sul monte, in contemplazione con il Padre, e questo ci dice che senza la meditazione giornaliera il cristiano perde la Fede e conduce una vita di scarso significato e senza profondità spirituale.
Egli stava sul monte ma vedeva cosa facevano i discepoli, e conosceva bene i loro cuori ed i loro pensieri.
"Sul finire della notte egli andò verso di loro camminando sul mare".
Non voleva spaventarli ma semplicemente mostrare la sua vicinanza e la sua capacità di raggiungerli in qualsiasi momento e in tutti i luoghi.
Gesù non mette mai paura. Al contrario, la tristezza e un profondo senso di sgomento, di disorientamento, arrivano sempre da satana.
Quando avvertite un senso di vuoto interiore che sale dallo sterno, la parte anteriore centrale del torace, e che vi causa un disagio incontrollato, come se stesse succedendo chissà cosa, non temete e pregate.
È questo un attacco dei diavoli e la preghiera scaccia il vostro senso di svuotamento, e con la fiduciosa ed accorata preghiera si diventa più forti delle negatività.
Gesù ci viene sempre incontro quando Lo invochiamo anche se, spesso, egli non viene riconosciuto e la confusione arreca in noi il turbamento.
La nostra mancanza di discernimento ci porta ad equivocare ed a confondere la presenza di Gesù per il falso e l’azione di satana come l’opera dello Spirito di Dio.
Sono innumerevoli i falsi sapienti che si aggirano anche nelle parrocchie e seminano le loro dottrine mendaci, creando confusione e negatività.
Però la nostra Fede non deve mai oscillare dinanzi anche alle piccole variazioni dal Vangelo storico. Per noi Gesù è sempre il Signore Risorto e il Figlio di Dio. Meditiamo con amore su questo punto, e conserviamolo saldamente nelle nostre coscienze.
Verrà il tempo in cui si diffonderà la voce che questo Gesù che noi adoriamo e che conosciamo come Dio incarnato, non è in realtà il Messia e saremo portati a volgerci altrove, dove in realtà non ci sarà Dio…
La nostra Fede non deve mai tentennare.
Pietro ebbe timore perché, dopo il suo iniziale coraggio e fermezza, per un solo attimo temette di non farcela e cominciò ad affondare.
Fu il suo grido a farlo riemergere: "Signore, salvami!".
Dall'iniziale coraggio, quando egli era anche pronto a sfidare le leggi della fisica, "vedendo che il vento era forte", Pietro ebbe timore e s’impaurì , cercando l’aiuto di Gesù.
Nelle prove e nelle sofferenze, non dobbiamo neanche per un attimo dubitare della presenza di Gesù e del grande aiuto che possiamo ottenere da Lui.
Chiamiamolo, invochiamolo con Fede, adoriamolo perché Egli è Dio.
Come fece con Pietro, egli ci afferra e ci libera da qualsiasi paura, dalle negatività diaboliche e ci guarisce da qualsiasi sofferenza e dalle nostre paure.
Forti della nostra Fede profonda e sincera tocchiamo il mantello del Signore per ricevere continue Grazie.

C - Spesso chiudiamo gli occhi davanti a molteplici eventi palesemente gravi e contraddittori per premiare, con un confuso consenso, la parola che ci è piaciuto sentire. Gesù non ha mai smesso di allertarci su quanto accadrà presto nel Mondo: “ogni pianta che non è stata piantata dal Padre mio celeste, verrà sradicata". "Perché i tuoi discepoli trasgrediscono la tradizione degli antichi? Infatti quando prendono cibo non si lavano le mani!". Fa parte della natura umana l’inclinazione alla critica verso il prossimo, ancor prima di aver meditato sui propri errori. Come possiamo leggere nei passi del Vangelo appena citati, accadeva sin dall’origine puntualizzare le mancanze o gli errori altrui e così accadrà sempre.
I farisei arrivavano a considerare un mero rito esteriore la Legge di Dio, e in questo si vedeva la loro malafede.
Siamo ormai così deboli e vittime della malafede da non riuscire più a distinguere con chiarezza e fermezza il raccolto buono da quello cattivo.
Quante volte ci facciamo attrarre da certi uomini, che in realtà sono scaltri e disonesti, solo perché essi sanno parlare dottamente di Gesù e, proprio per questo, siamo portati a lodarle?
Dobbiamo recuperare la capacità di discernere, e di conseguenza saper riconoscere i veri Cristiani da coloro che fingono d’ esserlo. Sappiamo che tra di noi, nelle comunità cristiane, nelle nostre Chiese e magari tra le persone che tutti i giorni vivono accanto a noi le nostre stesse esperienze di vita quotidiana, si nascondono millantatori e falsi profeti , bravi ad indossare ed ostentare la maschera del buono, del saggio e dell’onesto.
Con una certa frequenza essi mirano a convincerci con parole che in realtà non hanno senso, con riferimenti a fatti che non accadranno mai e anche laddove si dovessero realizzare, la nostra attenta analisi deve aiutarci a chiarire senza alcun dubbio o timore quale sia la reale finalità dei loro gesti e delle loro parole.
Solo così arriveremo a comprendere dove sta il bene e dove si insidia il male, e quanto i nostri interlocutori siano vicini alla volontà di Dio o, viceversa, a quella del maligno.
Quindi spesso chiudiamo gli occhi davanti a molteplici eventi palesemente gravi e contraddittori per premiare, con un confuso consenso, la parola che ci è piaciuto sentire.
Gesù non ha mai smesso di allertarci su quanto accadrà presto nel Mondo: “ogni pianta che non è stata piantata dal Padre mio celeste, verrà sradicata".
Per mantenere la retta via e non perderci altrove, occorre l’aiuto ed il supporto di moltissimi Sacerdoti, consapevoli della responsabilità della loro missione, e desiderosi di aiutare il prossimo.
Tutti coloro che, incapaci di pregare, cercano la salvezza in un profondo cammino di Fede e nell’unione con Dio, hanno grande bisogno di questi Sacerdoti che insegnino il percorso della preghiera attraverso la sana dottrina della Chiesa, che aiutino a superare le incertezze, le debolezze, e ad accettare con umiltà il disegno che Dio ha voluto per ogni suo figlio.
Invece ciò che viviamo o talvolta subiamo nella società moderna è il trovare durante il giorno le Chiese chiuse, vedendoci così negare il fervore del momento e la possibilità della Preghiera.
Siamo così spinti a consumare il nostro tempo e la nostra stessa esistenza in un bar, in una sala giochi o chissà in quale altro luogo, come vere e proprie pecorelle smarrite che si abbandonano inesorabilmente al volere del subdolo demonio.
Le Chiese dovrebbero rimanere aperte quasi tutto il giorno per dare ai fedeli la possibilità di incontrare i Sacerdoti e di trovare in loro una parola, un consiglio mirato, un incoraggiamento a combattere per il bene, o uno sprone ad essere noi stessi portatori di luce e speranza nella vita altrui e di tutti coloro che soffrono e si sentono isolati nella disperazione.
La Madonna non smetterà e non si stancherà mai di cercare nuovi apostoli mariani.

D - Anche noi siamo discepoli di Gesù ed anche noi siamo chiamati a diventare segno della Sua presenza nel mondo! Ma in che modo noi mostriamo Gesù agli altri? Dinnanzi a Pietro , Giacomo e Giovanni, i tre Apostoli scelti per essere beneficati di una rivelazione biblica, avvenne la Trasfigurazione di Gesù. Dio incarnandosi in un Corpo, volle rendersi uguale agli uomini, tranne nel peccato, e cosi come raccontato secondo uno dei passi più celebri di San Paolo (Fil 2,7), Gesù Cristo "essendo in forma di Dio", "prese la forma di schiavo". La Trasfigurazione di Gesù sul monte ci deve far comprendere la sua reale condizione spirituale. Solo un Dio poteva manifestarsi ai tre Apostoli e non al Mondo, perché non era ancora arrivato il tempo della Risurrezione. In Dio tutto è perfezione, e in questa perfezione, anche i tempi devono seguire una determinata evoluzione.Gesù avrebbe potuto scegliere di manifestarsi con la Trasfigurazione a tutti i Dodici Apostoli e, se cosi avesse scelto di fare, sarebbe stato agevolato nel convincere con facilità i propri discepoli a seguirlo, ottenuto il riconoscimento della Sua grandezza, attraverso quel gesto che riservò invece solo a tre di loro. Ma il Signore voleva essere riconosciuto, creduto e seguito per Fede e non per l'imposizione del grande segno della sua Trasfigurazione e proprio in questa sua più difficile scelta, limitata a pochi, dimostrò ai tre prescelti, che Lui, il Maestro, era davvero il Figlio di Dio.Sicuramente Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni non avevano bisogno di questo segno per trovare la Fede in Gesù, ma erano stati scelti da Lui per diventare loro stessi segno della Divinità del Maestro e, da quel momento, il loro incarico fu’ quello di facilitare la missione di Gesù nel mondo, di difendere il Signore con tutte le loro forze e di risvegliare negli altri Apostoli la Fede, quando questa si sarebbe assopita. Anche noi siamo discepoli di Gesù ed anche noi siamo chiamati a diventare segno della Sua presenza nel mondo! Ma in che modo mostriamo Gesù agli altri? Non sono sufficienti le buone parole e i buoni intenti per garantirci la santità e non sarà un pellegrinaggio a trasformare gli uomini in anime buone, perché questo non basta per convertirsi e vivere nella Gloria di Dio. Se affrontiamo un pellegrinaggio di preghiera, con lo stesso spirito con cui affronteremmo una gita, motivati dalla curiosità o dalla voglia di compiacere noi stessi per aver fatto qualcosa di inconsueto, ci priveremo di molte Grazie. Certamente, sarà comunque preferibile e apprezzabile agli occhi di Dio scegliere come meta di un viaggio la visita a un Santuario, ma in questi luoghi, dobbiamo recarci con lo spirito che guida un buon Cristiano.
Non basterà come invece molti credono, recarsi a Lourdes, Fatima o Banneux per espiare i peccati commessi, illudendosi di aver costruito e conquistato una robusta spiritualità.
Sono ancora tanti i pellegrini che si fermano al viaggio compiuto senza giungere alla Santa intenzione di cambiare profondamente vita, diventando umili e abbandonando la “dipendenza” da tutto ciò che è frivolo e inutile.
Anche Dio si rallegra quando ci facciamo coinvolgere dall’effetto che un sano divertimento può ottenere sulla nostra anima e sul nostro corpo, specie se la positività di questo evento è anche a beneficio delle persone che ci sono vicine e ci predispone a opere di bene e di altruismo.
Contrariamente, Lo feriamo e lo deludiamo profondamente, allontanandoci da Lui, ogni volta che non sappiamo opporre resistenza ad eventi mondani, di insano divertimento, facendoci pervadere da sentimenti di superbia e orgoglio.
Se vogliamo incontrare veramente Gesù, dobbiamo essere pronti a percorrere una strada in salita, certi di poter superare gli ostacoli e consapevoli che non cammineremo mai soli perché la Madonna sarà li con noi, sarà il nostro sostegno, colmerà la nostra stanchezza e sarà la nostra fonte inesauribile di energia in questo cammino verso Gesù.
Quando saremo pronti a farle spazio accanto noi e ad accettare con gioia la Sua infinita generosità, allora scopriremo che quella strada faticosa, quasi inaffrontabile per noi umani, diverrà una dolce salita.
Nessuno potrà mai compiere un Santo cammino spirituale se non comincia a salire il Monte lasciando a valle le zavorre noiose e inutili della vita dissipata.
Ognuno di noi deve guardarsi onestamente dentro e fare la scelta. Ma chi non vorrà o non saprà scegliere di spogliarsi e alleggerirsi di pesi inutili, non arriverà alla fine di nessun percorso e sarà destinato all’infelicità.
Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni scelsero Gesù come unico Dio e lottarono con forza contro i vizi, e il premio riconosciuto loro per queste loro rinunce, fu’ la grande concessione di vederlo Cristo trasfigurato.
E così è stato per mistici che hanno avuto apparizioni ; anche loro hanno dovuto raggiungere una elevata santità interiore per avere la capacità di entrare nel mistero.
Non fatevi attrarre nell’ inganno di falsi veggenti, sono solo piccoli uomini , disonesti, commedianti che non avranno mai vere apparizioni, non ne hanno la capacità spirituale , perché Dio si rivela esclusivamente alle anime pure.
Se qualche anima buona, che ha già avuto il dono delle apparizioni, cade in qualche vizio perdendo la propria purezza, gli verranno negate immediatamente altre apparizioni.
I tre Apostoli erano anime pure, avevano abbandonato qualsiasi cosa affidando la loro vita a Gesù ,vivendo “unicamente” del suo Amore.
La salita sul Monte fu facile per loro, camminarono per tutta la salita accanto a Gesù, riuscendo a sopportare qualsiasi difficoltà.
Salirono insieme ed insieme scesero, ma Gesù ordinò loro: "Non parlate a nessuno di questa visione, prima che il Figlio dell’Uomo non sia risorto dai morti". Premiò le loro rinunce con la sua Trasfigurazione, riponendo in loro piena fiducia perché sapeva che non avrebbero mai tradito la sua stima.
Invece quando il cristiano tradisce Gesù, perde la sua fiducia ed è quindi costretto a rialzarsi e camminare nuovamente. Gesù rimane disponibile e dà tante altre possibilità di recupero, ma non si deve arrivare ad abusare della sua misericordia perché non ci si può prendere gioco di Dio.

E – E’ imprudente e poco spirituale cercare di condizionare la volontà di Dio, anche con argomentazioni apparentemente necessarie. È stata una innocente premura di Pietro, dovuta al suo grande amore, a procurargli il severo rimprovero. Gesù, comunque, non si è scagliato contro Pietro ma contro il tentatore che agiva tramite Pietro. Eppure pochi minuti prima proprio l'Apostolo Lo aveva riconosciuto come il Figlio di Dio e aveva ricevuto il Primato di Capo della nascente Chiesa. In pochi minuti Pietro è passato dall'atto di Fede, che neanche gli altri undici avevano pensato, al consiglio inopportuno dato a Gesù. Questo ci spiega che nessuno deve sentirsi sicuro delle sue affermazioni. Quando si esprimono opinioni nulla è assoluto o categorico. Quando Pietro attestò che la Divinità di Gesù era in comunione con Lui, era concentrato e forte, e si lasciò guidare dallo Spirito Santo nel pronunciare quelle parole. Non appena si distrasse e diede sfogo al suo istinto, egli diede un consiglio a Gesù non richiesto e poco opportuno. L'uomo che rimane unito a Dio è trasfigurato. Se vuole agire seguendo le proprie convinzioni diventa istintivo e confuso. Questa Parola di oggi ci fa comprendere che è imprudente e poco spirituale cercare di condizionare la volontà di Dio, anche con argomentazioni apparentemente necessarie. L'uomo è un mistero fine a se stesso ed è abile nel confezionare necessità inesistenti. Preciso che è possibile condizionare la volontà di Dio, ma nel bene, quando si chiede qualcosa di spirituale per sé o per gli altri. La richiesta amorosa e rispettosa a Dio per ottenere un bene spirituale o fisico, può convenientemente far cambiare il suo proposito, perché Dio è Padre e vuole esclusivamente la nostra salvezza. Devono esserci le condizioni perché ci venga donato quanto chiediamo con amore e fiducia. Moltissimi episodi dell'Antico Testamento attestano che Dio cambiava la sua punizione in un perdono, non appena il popolo si pentiva e ritornava a Lui con spirito contrito. Anche nel Vangelo ci viene spiegato che Gesù condizionava determinate cose alle preghiere dei presenti e dell'umanità fino alla fine del mondo. “Chi dunque mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, anch’Io lo riconoscerò davanti al Padre mio che è nei Cieli; chi invece mi rinnegherà davanti agli uomini, anch’Io lo rinnegherò davanti al Padre mio che è nei Cieli” (Mt 10,32-33). La Donna che quasi sempre riesce a far cambiare la volontà a Dio è la Beata Vergine. Ho inserito quasi perché il Padre qualche resistenza ce l'ha pure con Lei, ma la Madonna sa quando è opportuno chiedere.
Alle volte però è amorevolmente costretta a chiedere anche l'impossibile per giustizia, sapendo che la Grazia non scenderà, ma vuole dar seguito come Mediatrice alle richieste di quanti hanno pregato.
Prende molto seriamente ogni nostro sussurro di preghiera perché è la Mediatrice!
Questa grande Madre non rimane indifferente alle nostre preghiere, ma sollecita, si rivolge al Figlio e supplica per noi!

Catechesis N. 47
A - Jesus can satisfy the spiritual and material hunger present in every person. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied" (Mt 5,6 ). There is nothing that Jesus cannot satiate in us, let us ask ourselves always, however, if we have at least 5 loaves and 2 fish to hand over to Him, or a good and sincere heart to welcome Him and allow Him to work wonders in us!
B - Jesus always comes to us when we invoke him even if he, often, is not recognized and the confusion brings us to the anxiety.
C - Then, so often we close our eyes to many events obviously serious and contradictory to reward, with a confused consent, the word that we liked to hear. Jesus has never ceased to make us suspicious about what will soon happen in the world: " each plant that was not planted by my heavenly Father, will be eradicated".
D - We, too, are disciples of Jesus and also we are called to become a sign of His presence in the world! But how do we show Jesus to others?
E - This Word of today makes us understanding that it is imprudent and little spiritual to try to influence the will of God, even with arguments apparently necessary.

A - The Catholic culture always treats the image of the Lord to the image of the One who satisfies. The message that the Lord in his infinite Love is meant to convey is that may not be satisfied of their hunger and thirst those who lose sight of the value and the spiritual meaning that the Gospel wants to give to these needs, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied "(Mt 5,6).
Jesus distinguishes the meanings of hunger and thirst, although they are undoubtedly geared towards the same source and purpose. The hunger that only God can satisfy, is that which nourishes and sustains believers in a true and certain Faith journey. Even the hunger that indicates the need to meet the needs of the body and mind must be satisfied, to support us in this way.
Different and dangerous is the hunger of ambition and of possess that is the one that feeds on emotions such as pride, envy, and pride.
Jesus teaches us to have hunger and thirst for justice, and associates the two body needs to raise the justice as the banner of the genuine Christian. The Justice is towards God and men. There cannot be one without the other, like you cannot have hunger for God and thirst for the devil.
Justice in the eyes of God means to grant him the gift of life that has given us and recognize that it is He who created us and to Him we owe everything. Our life goes hand in hand with justice whenever we honor him, every time we serve Him, and when we are able to do everything free from the bondage of pride, arrogance, envy, or any other defect which leads us away from Him.
Justice is the sincere observance of His Word and each time we put God at the center of our lives, and we behave as He has asked us to do, we reward Him with the love he deserves. God enters into us, in our hearts and in our lives, when we can live in harmony with Him and in his example, through the teachings of the Gospel.
Every man, son of God, would like to find in his daily life, among the people he meets and in the environments that he attends, justice, honesty, impartiality.
The world, today, which has lost all these values, it is more than ever hungry and needy. We think of the economic crisis of our century that, in addition to the already poor nations, has made known to the West what it means to be hungry, what it means to cry and struggle every day for survival.
In the world there is not any form of justice, and its presence has become more vital than food.
To recover the joy of life and return to be part of a world where justice and fairness prevail, we need that God is more than ever strict with us and that he can shake us to the point that he forces us to come to our senses.
We can survive the efforts that we are called to support, but we cannot survive the social injustices and the humiliations that they carry within them.
Let us look back and reflect on the hunger of the people who followed Jesus.
Thousands of people, dressed only of a real bodily hunger, gave up everything to follow the Him and listen from the Lord His Word even though there was no food to feed everyone. Jesus decided at that point to make an extraordinary miracle, asking his disciples to sit down and put themselves in a position of acceptance, and not just to get the food they feed themselves.
To listen to the Word of God, which does not make noise but is a thin and quiet voice, we must prepare ourselves to welcome it, to perceive it in every hiss and, to do so, we must create in us and around us the silence. It is a great effort that we are asked to do to accept with honor and respect the word of the Lord, but when we will learn to do it, when we reach to perceive the presence of God in us and around us, nothing will distract us anymore and, indeed, we will find it hard to get up off the ground and to interrupt our conversation with Him.
To pray with commitment and humility, we must ask Jesus to help us to remove unnecessary thoughts, distractions, the frustrating dependence from earthly things and materials.
We have to devote to this action the silence, being careful to do so quietly, in a comfortable position which can also help our body to the concentration and the encounter with God.
Every day we should find at least an hour to meditate on the word of God, through the reading of Holy books.
Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes for his people, only after seeing his sincere commitment and sacrifice before the hunger, because this is what the Gospel teaches, that is to say, overcome the difficulties and never lose faith in God.
When Jesus asked how many loaves and fishes were left, the apostles answered, respectively, 5:02, which is clearly ridiculous to feed everyone. Therefore let us ask: would Jesus have done that extraordinary miracle if they had not found even five loaves and two fishes?
Jesus does not perform miracles in us and for us if we do not find at least a little of true spirituality, and will not give us anything unless we will have not made any personal donation to Him.
And so, every parent should also refer to the example of Jesus and be strict with its children, asking them to attend Mass, to behave in everyday life with the observance of what the Lord has given to us with the Commandments, to show always good manners and respect towards all, to practice moral values, to fulfill obligations of family, at school and working.
Instead the days we are living, the cruelty that every day we hear and see around us, indicate that this is the time when Satan is the prince of the world. Yet there will come a time when even the powerful in the world, today faithful followers of Satan, will see him crumble, crushed under the heel of the Holy Mother of God, and only at that point they will understand that only Jesus is the One who can satisfy any hunger and all thirst, and with the descent of the Holy Spirit, will support the good in every corner of the earth. They will repent then miserably to have facts spokesman for an opposite and contrary doctrine to Christianity, and to them will be left only the eternal torment of remorse.
Many of us call themselves "Christians" and recognize only theoretically the Omnipotence of Jesus, because too addicted to worldly pleasures and really not very interested in the spiritual life. True Christians are those who recognize in the Lord the only salvation, the only One able, with His love, to feed us all and make us happy in this life, also happy to carry on their shoulders some suffering.
Jesus can satisfy the spiritual and material hunger present in every person.
That bread, offered with a miracle to thousands of hungry people sitting on the grass and trusting in Jesus, reminds us that, just as the Son of God gave himself to death for love of us, so He will remain present in the Eucharistic Bread and in us, through the Communion. The encounter with the Body of Christ is all our joy and consolation. Let us remember then that is essential, for a true Christian, the adoration before the Tabernacle.
There is nothing that Jesus cannot satiate in us, let us ask ourselves always, however, if we have at least 5 loaves and 2 fish to hand over to Him, or a good and sincere heart to welcome Him and allow Him to work wonders in us!

B - The liturgical cycle ago coincide the Gospel today as a continuation of that of yesterday, Sunday, and then inserted into one of three liturgical years A, B, C. We are now in the year A and we are following the Gospel of Matthew, the year B instead presents the Gospel of Mark and the year C the one of Luke. The Gospel of John, the Apostle and Evangelist is not a synopsis and then reads in the strong times as the Lent and Easter.
John is portrayed by an eagle, and his Gospel is very spiritual and exceeds our capacity for understanding. Without a good guide, you can confuse its meanings. We know that the eagle is the bird that flies higher than all the other birds, and in the same way John is very high on its similar and saw away.
Today's Saint is the Patron saint of parish priests: the Holy Curé of Ars: A man little instructed but fully in love with Jesus and Mary. The charisms that he received from God drew millions of the faithful in the small town where he operated and that had only 300 inhabitants, and all were transformed into new creatures, benefiting from its intercession.
This shows that where is a true Christian who prays there miracles happen.
The word of today explains the presence of Jesus even when believers do not warn.
Once He has fed thousands of people with the mighty miracle of the loaves and fishes, to the point that they advanced twelve baskets, Jesus went to a lonely place to be silent. Despite his absolute power of contemplation, he felt the physical need to stay out and talk to the Father.
Jesus was alone on the mountain, in contemplation with the Father, and this tells us that without the daily meditation the Christian lose Faith and leads a life of little meaning and without spiritual depth.
He stood on the mountain but he saw what the disciples did, and was familiar with their hearts and their thoughts.
"At the end of the night he went out to them, walking on the sea".
He did not want to scare them off but simply show his closeness and his ability to achieve them at any time and in all places.
Jesus never puts fear. On the contrary, sadness, and a deep sense of dismay and disorientation, always come from Satan.
When you are feeling a sense of inner emptiness that comes up from the sternum, the central front of the chest, and that causes an uncontrolled hardship, as if it was happening who knows what, do not be afraid and pray.
This is an attack of the devils and the prayer drives out your sense of emptying, and with the confident and heartfelt prayer you become stronger than the negativity.

Our lack of discernment leads us to misinterpret and confuse the presence of Jesus for the false and the action of Satan as the work of the Spirit of God.
There are innumerable false wise men that they are around also in parishes and sow their false doctrines, creating confusion and negativity.
However, our Faith must never oscillate before even to small variations of the Gospel history. For us, Jesus is always the Risen Lord and the Son of God. Meditate with love on this point , and firmly keep it in our consciences.
The time will come when it will spread the word that this Jesus, whom we adore and that we know as God incarnate, is not in fact the Messiah and we will be brought to look elsewhere, where in fact there will not be God ...
Our Faith must never waver.
Peter had fear because, after his initial courage and firmness, for a moment he feared of not succeeding and he began to sink .
It was his cry to make him reemerging : "Lord, save me!"
From the initial courage, when he was also ready to defy the laws of physics , "seeing that the wind was strong", Peter was afraid and became afraid , seeking the help of Jesus .
In the trials and suffering, we must not for one moment doubt the presence of Jesus and of the great help that we can get from Him.
Let us call it, invoke him with Faith, adore him because He is God.
As he did with Peter, he seizes us and frees us from any fear, from diabolical negativities and heals us from any suffering and of our fears.
Strong of our deep and sincere Faith let us touch the mantle of the Lord to receive continuous Graces.

C- "Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? In fact when they take food they do not wash their hands! ".
It is part of human nature the inclination to the criticism toward our neighbor, even before having meditated on his own mistakes. As we can read in the steps of the Gospel just cited, happened since the origin point out the deficiencies or the mistakes of others and the same always will.
The Pharisees came to consider a mere outward ritual the Law of God, and in this appeared their bad faith.
We are now so weak and the victim of bad faith by have not been able to distinguish with clarity and firmness the harvest good from the bad.
How many times are we attracted by certain men , which in reality are crafty and dishonest, only because they know how to speak learnedly explaining of Jesus and, precisely for this reason, we are led to praise them?
We must recover the ability to discern , and consequently how to recognize the true Christians from those who pretend to be. We know that among us, in the Christian communities , in our Churches and perhaps among the people that all the days live next door to us our own experiences of daily life, hide boasters and false prophets , good to wear and flaunting the mask of the good, the wise and the honest.
With a certain frequency they aim to convince us with words that in reality do not have sense, with references to events that did not happen ever, and even where they could materialize, our careful analysis should help us to clarify without any doubt or fear which is the real aim of their deeds and their words.
Only in this way we will come to understand where is the good and where it is undermined the evil, and how much our interlocutors are closed to God's will or , vice versa, to that of the evil one.
Then, so often we close our eyes to many events obviously serious and contradictory to reward, with a confused consent, the word that we liked to hear.
Jesus has never ceased to make us suspicious about what will soon happen in the world: " each plant that was not planted by my heavenly Father, will be eradicated".
To maintain the straight track and not get bogged down elsewhere, there is a need for the help and support of a lot of Priests, aware of the responsibility of their mission, and eager to help the neighbor.
All those who, unable to pray, seek salvation in a profound journey of Faith and in union with God, are in great need of these Priests that should teach the path of prayer through the sound doctrine of the Church, that should help to overcome the uncertainties, the weaknesses, and to accept with humility the plan that God has willed for every son.
Instead what we live or sometimes suffer in modern society is the finding during the day of closed churches, so denying to us the fervor of the moment and the possibility of prayer.
So we are driven to consume our time and our very existence into a bar, a games room or who knows where else, as a true lost sheep that we abandon inexorably to the will of the devious demon.
The Churches should remain open almost all day to give the faithful the possibility to meet the Priests and find in them a word , a targeted suggestion, an encouragement to fight for the good, or an incentive to be ourselves the bearers of light and hope in the lives of others and of all who suffer and feel isolated in despair.
Our Lady will not stop and will never tire of trying new marian apostles.

D - Before Peter, James and John, the three Apostles chosen to be beneficiaries of a biblical revelation, came the Transfiguration of Jesus.
God, in becoming incarnate in a Body, wanted to become equal to men, except in a state of sin, and thus how it was told by one of the most famous steps of Saint Paul (Phil 2,7 ), Jesus Christ "being in the form of God", "took the form of a servant".
The Transfiguration of Jesus on the mount must help us to understand his real spiritual condition. Only a God could make himself known to the three Apostles and not to the world, because it had not yet arrived the time of the Resurrection.
In God everything is perfection, and in this perfection, even the times must follow a certain evolution.
Jesus could have chosen to manifest itself with the Transfiguration to all the Twelve Apostles and, if so had chosen to do, he would have been facilitated to convince with ease their disciples to follow him, obtained the recognition of its magnitude, through the gesture which instead he reserved only at three of them.
But the Lord wanted to be recognized, believed and followed by Faith and not by the imposition of the great sign of his Transfiguration and precisely in its most difficult choice, limited to a few, he showed to the three selected, that He , the Teacher, was really the Son of God.
Certainly Peter, James and John had no need of this sign to find Faith in Jesus, but had been chosen by Him to become their own sign of the divinity of the Master, and, from that moment, their task was to facilitate the mission of Jesus in the world, to defend the Lord with all their forces and to awake in the other Apostles, the Faith, when it falls asleep.
We, too, are disciples of Jesus and we too are called to become a sign of His presence in the world!
But how do we show Jesus to others?
Good words and good intentions are not enough to guarantee the sanctity and it will not be a pilgrimage to turn men into good souls, because this is not enough to be converted and to live in the glory of God.
If we are going to make a pilgrimage of prayer, in the same spirit with which we would make a tour, motivated by curiosity or by the desire to please ourselves for having done something unusual, we will deprive ourselves of many Graces. Certainly, it will be preferable and appreciable in the eyes of God choose as destination of a trip visiting a Shrine, but in these places, we must go with the spirit that guides a good Christian.
It will not be sufficient, as indeed as many believe, to go to Lourdes, Fatima and Banneux to atone for sins committed, under the illusion of having built and acquired a strong spirituality.
There are still many pilgrims who stop in journey without reaching the Holy intention to profoundly change lives, becoming humble and abandoning the "dependence" on everything that is frivolous and useless.
Even God rejoices when we are involved by the effect that a healthy fun can obtain on our soul and our body, especially if the positivity of this event is also for the benefit of people who are close to us and equips us to good works and altruism.
In contrast, we injure and deeply disappoint him, distancing us from him, every time that we do not know to resist social events, of insane fun making us pervaded by feelings of haughtiness and pride.
If we want really meet Jesus, we must be ready to pursue a path uphill, certain to be able to overcome the obstacles and aware that we never walk alone because Our Lady will be there with us, will be our support, will fill our tiredness and will be our inexhaustible source of energy in this journey toward Jesus .
When we will be ready to open our space to Her and to accept with joy Her infinite generosity, then we will discover that that tiring road, almost unaffordable for us humans, will become a sweet hill.
No one can ever make a Holy spiritual journey if not begins to ascend the hill leaving downstream tedious and unnecessary weights of dissipated life.
Each of us must honestly look into and make its choice. But who will not or not will be able to choose to undress and dispose of any unnecessary weight, will not be able to reach the end of any path and will be allocated to the unhappiness.
Peter, James and John chose Jesus as the one and only God and fought with force against the vices, and the prize recognized to them for their sacrifices, it was the big concession to see him transfigured in Christ.
And so it was for mystics that have had apparitions ; they too have had to reach a high interior holiness to have the capacity to enter into the mystery.
Don't be attracted by the deception of false visionaries, they are only small men , dishonest, comedians that will never have true apparitions, they do not have the spiritual capacity of it , because God reveals himself exclusively to the pure souls.
If some good soul, who has already had the gift of the apparitions, falls in some defect losing its purity, will be denied immediately of other apparitions.
The three Apostles were pure souls, had abandoned every thing entrusting their lives to Jesus, living "only" of his Love.
The ascent on the Mount was easy for them, and they went for the whole climb next to Jesus, withstanding any difficulty.
They went up together and together they went down, but Jesus commanded them: "Tell the vision to no man, before the Son of Man be risen from the dead".
He awarded their disclaimers with its Transfiguration, placing full confidence in them because he knew they would never have betrayed his estimate.
However, when the Christian betrays Jesus, he loses his confidence and is then forced to rise up and walk again. Jesus remains available and gives many other possibilities of recovery, but we should not abuse of his mercy because we cannot take game of God.

E – It was an innocent eagerness of Peter, due to his great love, to cause the severe rebuke. Jesus, however, has not lashed out at Peter but against the tempter who acted by Peter.
Yet just a few minutes before the Apostle had recognized Him as the Son of God and had received the Primacy of Head of the nascent Church.
In a few minutes Peter passed from the act of Faith, which eleven others had not even thought, to the Council inopportune given to Jesus.
This tells us that no one should feel confident of his statements. When you express opinions nothing is absolute or categorical.
When Peter testify the Divinity of Jesus was in communion with Him, was concentrated and strong, and allowed himself to be guided by the Holy Spirit uttering those words.
Soon distracted and gave vent to his instincts, he gave some advice to Jesus not required and appropriate.
The man who remains united to God is transfigured. If he wants to act according to one's own beliefs becomes instinctive and confused.
This Word of today makes us understanding that it is imprudent and little spiritual to try to influence the will of God, even with arguments apparently necessary.
Man is a mystery in itself and is skillful in packaging non-existent needs.
I precise that it is possible to condition the will of God, but in the good, when you ask for something spiritual to yourself or others.
The loving and respectful request to God in order to obtain a spiritual or physical good, can conveniently to change its respect, because God is our Father and only meant to our salvation.
It must be the conditions because we are given what we are asking for with love and trust.
Many episodes of the Old Testament attests that God changed his punishment to a pardon, not just the people repented and returned to him with a contrite spirit.
Also in the Gospel we are told that Jesus conditioned certain things to the prayers of the present and of mankind until the end of the world.
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, I too confess before my Father who is in Heaven; but whosoever shall deny me before men, I would also deny before my Father who is in Heaven" (Mt 10.32 -33).
The Woman who almost always manages to change the will of God is the Blessed Virgin. I have inserted almost because the Father some resistance has also with Her, but Our Lady knows when it is appropriate to ask.
Sometimes, however, she is lovingly obliged to ask even the impossible for justice, knowing that the Grace will not come, but she wants to follow up as a Mediatrix to the demands of those who have prayed.
She takes very seriously any our whisper of prayer because she is the Mediatrix !
This great Mother does not remain indifferent to our prayers, but urges, turns to his Son and pleads for us!
