Catechesi N. 44
A - Le offerte si devono donare alla parrocchia che ha molte spese o compie lavori, alle mense dei poveri e a quelle Associazioni Cattoliche autenticate dalle visibili opere ed attività di apostolato che vengono compiute.
B - Dove è assente la pace di Gesù è sempre presente un animo ribelle, indisciplinato e spesso cattivo.
C - Solo l'aiuto della Madonna può permettere la vera conversione, che si spiega come trasfigurazione interiore.
D - C'è un metro da saper utilizzare, una valutazione che deve considerare innanzitutto il bene dell'anima e il riposo del corpo, senza tralasciare, per chi lo ricerca, il momento del divertimento nella giornata.

A - Le offerte si devono donare alla parrocchia che ha molte spese o compie lavori, alle mense dei poveri e a quelle Associazioni Cattoliche autenticate dalle visibili opere ed attività di apostolato che vengono compiute.
Gesù pone i miracoli come metro di giudizio. Essi indicano la presenza di Dio in mezzo al popolo. Non è solo una presenza spirituale. Dio si è incarnato in un Uomo e questa è la contraddizione che denunciano gli ebrei incapaci di elevarsi e di comprendere che non si tratta di una incongruenza. I miracoli attestano che Gesù non è solo un Uomo.
Ci vuole sempre una prova per confermare le parole, almeno una sola prova.
Gesù diede migliaia di prove incontestabili sulla sua natura Divina, unita a quella umana. Sono le prove ad autenticare la sincerità delle parole, ed a confermare la bontà dell'apostolato. Sono il marchio della buonafede con cui si opera.
Nell'ambiente cattolico oggi si parla di molte apparizioni e di tanti veggenti.
Tranne i pochi casi autentici, nessuno dei presunti veggenti ha mai offerto una prova di veridicità.
Sorprende la presenza di migliaia di pellegrini in questi luoghi infestati dalle presenze diaboliche e che rilasciano negatività pericolose a quanti vi si recano.
Molti credenti affermano che le cose sono peggiorate dopo avere frequentato falsi luoghi di apparizioni ritenuti affidabili.
Sono molti inoltre a richiedere offerte per l'apostolato. Cerchiamo di capire cosa c'è dietro. In questi luoghi di false apparizioni e sul web con blog e newsletter giornaliere con richieste di offerte, tutti parlano di sostenere le spese, ma di quali spese parlano?
Bisogna stare attenti alle molteplici richieste che arrivano da molte parti e che parlano di Gesù, della vita, della famiglia, dell'apostolato, quando in realtà fanno riferimento ad impegni che non richiedono spese. È questo un apostolato che viene compiuto con le newsletter, non c'è quindi nulla da pagare.
Le offerte si devono donare alla parrocchia che ha molte spese o compie lavori, alle mense dei poveri e a quelle Associazioni Cattoliche autenticate dalle visibili opere ed attività di apostolato che vengono compiute.
Ci sono in Italia uomini e donne chiamati santoni solo per ingannare, e che rilasciano negatività demoniache.
Ci sono in internet siti e blog cattolici che chiedono continuamente offerte per iniziative inconcludenti che non portano aiuto alla Chiesa né alla spiritualità dei credenti. A quale fine sono indirizzate queste offerte? Non è preferibile aiutare le mense dei poveri e le autentiche opere di apostolato?
Bisogna capire bene l'utilizzo delle offerte richieste. Io ho sempre invitato le persone a visitare l’Associazione ed a constatare le opere che si stanno realizzando.
Il miglioramento della nostra semplice e indispensabile struttura, permetterà di organizzare incontri di formazione spirituale e periodici insegnamenti come una scuola di preghiera. Si potrà venire da qualunque parte per essere formati nella verità della sana dottrina cattolica.
La nostra Associazione in questi anni ha provveduto di continuo ad aiutare le famiglie povere e i malati fisici e spirituali. Attraverso Sacerdoti e Suore abbiamo inviato offerte alle missioni cattoliche. È quindi importante sostenere le attività di apostolato dei Sacerdoti missionari nel mondo.
I bonifici bancari indicano le donazioni inviate a un Sacerdote del Kenia e che si occupa delle adozioni di bambini a distanza, anche in altre Nazioni dell'Africa. Queste sono solo alcune delle iniziative che porto avanti. Non ne parlo semplicemente per non ostentare le nostre opere di carità che non finiscono mai. Sono dispiaciuto di non poter fare di più per gli sventurati che vivono nelle Nazioni povere, ma vorrei poter fare tantissimo. Intanto, con le vostre donazioni ho aiutato e aiuto molte famiglie povere italiane.
Ieri è stato comunicato che in Italia sono oltre 10 milioni gli italiani al di sotto della soglia di povertà.
Non mi preoccupo solo dei poveri, che vivono in situazioni indigenti. Mi preoccupa soprattutto la povertà spirituale. Diffondo libri e libretti di preghiere senza fini di lucro e con molte spese da affrontare per sostenere la gestione dell'Opera Mariana.
Le pubblicazioni che diffondo sono vendute ad un prezzo molto al di sotto dei normali valori commerciali, e questo indica il mio totale distacco dal denaro. Ma il denaro è comunque necessario per stampare, diffondere la sana dottrina cattolica e aiutare i poveri.
Gesù oggi condanna le città che non Lo hanno accolto, mentre le città pagane patiranno meno tormenti per la poca conoscenza di Lui.
Gesù dice che "nel giorno del Giudizio" molti non credenti saranno trattati meno duramente dei cattolici che non hanno mosso un dito per aiutare i poveri, per incrementare l'apostolato cattolico, e per diffondere nei colloqui con parenti, amici e conoscenti la Parola di Dio.
Gesù prende di mira tre città che avevano conosciuto le sue straordinarie opere, senza accoglierlo né pentirsi dei loro peccati. Indica agli abitanti di Corazìn, di Betsàida e di Cafarnao i guai che preannunciano punizioni severe.
Nel Giudizio ci saranno non credenti che non seguivano Gesù, ma hanno compiuto opere buone e passeranno avanti ai credenti. Buona preghiera a tutti.

B - Dove è assente la pace di Gesù è sempre presente un animo ribelle, indisciplinato e spesso cattivo.
Gesù non è venuto a portare la pace sulla terra perché la sua Parola divide anche i familiari, ma la pace che manca sulla terra è la conseguenza dell'ambizione di personaggi poco responsabili. Gesù non può portare la pace in tutti i cuori e sono gli uomini a rifiutarla, quanti Lo respingono non ricevono la sua pace e scelgono la guerra interiore nei confronti degli altri.
Dove è assente la pace di Gesù è sempre presente un animo ribelle, indisciplinato e spesso cattivo.
Nel Vangelo si parla di separazione tra familiari. E’ più preciso parlare di una divisione. Essa è infatti una divergenza di vedute, un contrasto e un disaccordo. Mentre separazione indica una rottura, e qualcosa di traumatico.
Chi non accoglie il Vangelo commette una separazione da Gesù. E’ una scelta di vita libera con le conseguenze dolorose che man mano si sveleranno. È un trauma rovinoso, interiore e silenzioso il distacco da Gesù. Di sicuro esso causa turbamento anche negli atei, un turbamento inconscio per la mancanza del Bene nella loro vita.
È uno sconvolgimento staccarsi da Gesù. L'ottenebramento mentale porta lontano e mette in luce nel tempo la nostra rovina.
Non è Gesù a separare le scelte religiose di una famiglia. I componenti si dividono tra quanti hanno Fede e altri che la avversano. La sua Parola è come una spada che divide, mentre Gesù è l'Amore e porta la pace nei cuori che Lo accolgono.
Poi precisa che amare un familiare più di Lui è un errore. In quel caso l'amore rimane umano e passionale, non si eleva verso il Cielo. Diverso è quando si ama un familiare in Dio, mettendo Lui al centro di tutto e cercando la sua volontà in tutte le iniziative della famiglia.
Senza Dio si sceglie secondo la carne per accontentare gli altri familiari nelle scelte delicate, mentre seguire la volontà di Dio significa ricercare quello che vuole Lui e che è sempre la cosa migliore. Questa è la vera Fede. Qui si vede l'amore che si ha per Gesù.
Gesù parla anche del bicchiere d'acqua donato nel suo Nome ai suoi discepoli. Anche qui promette la sua ricompensa ai benefattori. Renderà ad essi molte Grazie, proporzionate a quanto hanno fatto verso gli altri. Le opere di bene attirano sempre le Grazie di Dio, e nulla va perduto degli aiuti donati ai bisognosi, dell'amicizia sincera, dell'agire sempre con retta intenzione.

C - Solo l'aiuto della Madonna può permettere la vera conversione, che si spiega come trasfigurazione interiore.
Nel momento più doloroso della sua vita a causa delle tremende sofferenze, quando stava per lasciare la terra in modo umiliante ma con l'assoluta certezza di avere compiuto tutto, Gesù pronunciò il suo supremo testamento e affidò l'umanità a sua Madre. Ella sapeva benissimo il suo compito stabilito dal Figlio, ma affinché lo sentissero i presenti, Gesù ripeté le parole rivelate in tanti colloqui alla Madre: ogni essere umano è tuo figlio.
Giovanni rappresentava uomini e donne di tutti i tempi. Egli era l'esempio migliore per indicare all'umanità come deve diventare ogni autentico seguace di Gesù Cristo. È un compito arduo, e ci vuole un impegno superiore alla naturale capacità umana. Solo l'aiuto della Madonna può permettere la vera conversione, che si spiega come trasfigurazione interiore.
Ognuno di noi viene considerato come vero figlio dalla Madre Santissima. Ella ci ha partorito nel sommo dolore sotto la Croce.
Ha un interesse unico verso ognuno di noi. Ci conosce perfettamente perché ci vede nella Luce di Dio, e conosce le sofferenze, le prove morali, le umiliazioni, le vendette, le cattiverie gratuite subite da tutti noi. La Madre soffre con noi, piange lacrime di Sangue nel vedere la corruzione nel mondo e per le sofferenze dei suoi figli che La amano con amore speciale.
La festa della Madonna del Carmelo ci ricorda che questa Madre non distoglie mai gli occhi da ognuno di noi. Convincetevi di questa grandiosa e bellissima verità. Questa è una delle devozioni mariane più antiche. E’ stata per secoli venerata con particolare partecipazione anche per l'apparizione al generale dell'Ordine Carmelitano, San Simone Stock.
Il 16 luglio 1251 la Madonna gli rivelò una devozione straordinaria, gli consegnò lo Scapolare in tessuto e rivelò importantissimi privilegi legati al suo culto. Queste le parole dette dalla Madonna a San Simone:
“Ricevi, figlio dilettissimo, lo Scapolare del tuo Ordine, segno della mia fraterna amicizia, privilegio per te e per tutti i carmelitani. Coloro che moriranno rivestiti di questo Scapolare non andranno nel fuoco dell’inferno. Esso è un segno di salvezza, di protezione e di sostegno nei pericoli e di alleanza di pace per sempre“.
Questa meravigliosa promessa della Santissima Vergine non è di poco valore per il cristiano che veramente desidera salvare la sua anima. Molti Papi e teologi hanno confermato e spiegato che chi ha una vera devozione per lo Scapolare e lo usa, effettivamente riceverà da Maria Santissima la Grazia della contrizione e della perseveranza finale.
Dopo l’apparizione a San Simone Stock, l’Ordine Carmelitano rifiorì e conobbe altri periodi di gloria, accrescendo in tutta la Chiesa Cattolica la devozione alla Santissima Vergine. In questo Ordine nacquero tre luminari, per non citare che questi risplenderanno dappertutto e per sempre nel firmamento della Chiesa: Santa Teresa d’Avila, San Giovanni della Croce e Santa Teresa del Bambino Gesù, tutti e tre proclamati “Dottori della Chiesa”.
Una seconda promessa fatta da Nostra Signora del Carmelo, ha dato ancor più importanza alla devozione dello Scapolare. La Santissima Vergine apparve a Papa Giovanni XXII e disse quanto segue:
“O Giovanni, Vicario del mio diletto Figlio… concedi ampia conferma al mio santo e devoto ordine del Carmelo, iniziato da Elia ed Eliseo… E anche altri, se entreranno, faranno parte per devozione, portando l’Abito Santo… Io, Madre di Grazia, libererò quanto prima e specialmente il primo sabato dopo la loro morte, quanti troverò nel Purgatorio li libererò e li condurrò al monte santo della Vita Eterna”.
Lo stesso Pontefice, il 3 marzo 1322, confermò questa indulgenza plenaria nella celebre Bolla Sabatina, confermata successivamente dai Papi Alessandro V, Clemente VII, Paolo III, San Pio V e San Pio X.
Nel 1950, Papa Pio XII scrisse sopra lo Scapolare, esprimendo il suo desiderio perché “sia il simbolo della consacrazione al Cuore Immacolato di Maria, della quale abbiamo molto bisogno in questi tempi tanto pericolosi”.
Scrisse anche: “Non si tratta di cosa di poco conto, ma dell’acquisto della Vita Eterna, in virtù della tradizionale promessa della Beata Vergine. Si tratta infatti dell’impresa più importante e del modo più sicuro di attuarla…” (Lett. “Neminen profecto”, 11 febbraio 1950).
Il Papa Paolo VI esortava nel 1965: “Abbiamo in grande stima le pratiche e gli esercizi di pietà verso la Beatissima Vergine, raccomandati lungo i secoli dal Magistero della Chiesa, tra i quali stimiamo di dover ricordare espressamente la religiosa prassi del Rosario e dello Scapolare del Carmelo”.
Anche il Papa San Giovanni Paolo II lo ha raccomandato insistentemente.
All’inizio lo Scapolare era di uso esclusivo dei religiosi carmelitani. Più tardi, la Chiesa, volendo estendere i privilegi e i benefici spirituali di questo abito religioso a tutti i cattolici, estese la possibilità del suo ricevimento a tutti i fedeli.
La Madonna, con la Sua rivelazione, ha voluto dire che chiunque indosserà e porterà per sempre l’Abitino, non solo sarà salvato eternamente, ma sarà anche difeso in vita dai pericoli.
Non dobbiamo credere, però, che la Madonna, voglia generare nell’uomo l’intenzione di assicurarsi il Paradiso, conti¬nuando a peccare, ma piuttosto che in forza della Sua Promessa, Ella si adopera in maniera efficace per la conversione del peccatore, che porta con fede e devozione l’Abitino fino al punto di morte». D - C'è un metro da saper utilizzare, una valutazione che deve considerare innanzitutto il bene dell'anima e il riposo del corpo, senza tralasciare, per chi lo ricerca, il momento del divertimento nella giornata.
Gesù chiama l'umanità stanca ad avvicinarsi a Lui per riprendersi dalla stanchezza che arriva dall'agitazione e dalle preoccupazioni. Più o meno tutti siamo stanchi. C'è pure una stanchezza che infiacchisce e distrugge moralmente: l'ozio. Non far nulla è un pericolo per il cristiano, quando non c'è un impegno buono sopraggiunge sempre il pensiero peccaminoso e quasi sempre si esegue.
La stanchezza di questa società è visibile nella ricerca continua della novità. Non c'è più appagamento nelle cose che si conoscono e si viene assaliti dalla noia. Questa fa scaturire l'agitazione e la ricerca nervosa di trovare altri divertimenti. In tutto questo c'è l'aumento della stanchezza, intendo quella mentale principalmente, poi arriva anche quella fisica.
Vediamo adesso cosa succede in estate. Molti vacanzieri scelgono luoghi un po’ distanti da casa perché preferiscono una determinata zona di mare, di montagna o altro. Liberi di farlo. Non mi spiego la scelta di luoghi dove non c'è assolutamente un minuto di silenzio giorno e notte per rilassare la mente e il corpo. La vacanza intelligente si prepara senza improvvisare e stabilendo le priorità. Chi sceglie il luogo dove si fa festa giorno e notte non deve poi lamentarsi quando rientra a casa distrutto.
C'è un metro da saper utilizzare, una valutazione che deve considerare innanzitutto il bene dell'anima e il riposo del corpo, senza tralasciare, per chi lo ricerca, il momento del divertimento nella giornata. Ma restare tutto il tempo dove c'è sempre musica o nelle località troppo rumorose e devastanti per la psiche, non è mai una vacanza intelligente.
Milioni di italiani rientrano distrutti dalle vacanze, arrivano a casa e vogliono riposare per riprendersi dalla fatica delle ferie…
Le vacanze sono una opportunità per ricaricarsi e non per distruggersi, sono giornate ideali per trovare una maggiore serenità psicofisica, per scaricare tensioni e stress, non per raddoppiare tensioni e stress.
Ognuno decide le sue vacanze ed è il protagonista della costruzione di una spiritualità forte oppure della distruzione della sua spiritualità. I credenti che pregano sentono un'attrazione particolare verso un ambiente più raccolto, trovando anche momenti per giocare e divertirsi, per stare insieme agli amici e rilassarsi anche durante i piacevoli colloqui.
Scrivo sulle vacanze perché in passato ho visto tante persone distrutte. Io mi riposo davanti al Tabernacolo. Vi assicuro che non c'è luogo migliore per riprendere le forze perché è l'Onnipotente a trasmettere la sua forza.
La mia scelta di restare vicino al Tabernacolo quando si torna dalla vacanza è per caricarsi dello spirituale. Le vacanze sono anche per i Consacrati importanti periodi di ristoro spirituale e fisico. Dipende poi da ognuno scegliere le mete. Come ho scritto, quando le vacanze si trascorrono nell'agitazione, non sono un bene per la persona, e in molte persone influiscono negativamente per lungo tempo quando si riprende il lavoro o si ritorna a casa.
Ci si può trovare depressi, avviliti, paradossalmente stanchi: ricominciare la solita routine autunnale non è facile. Si è perduto lo spirito estivo allegro e libero e sono ricominciate le veglie mattutine e gli impegni lavorativi.
Il disturbo di adattamento si manifesta quando si passa da un periodo di riposo a un ritmo pesante e che dura per un tempo variabile.
La stanchezza indicata da Gesù non è solamente quella post vacanze. Lui parla della stanchezza della vita, di tutto l'anno trascorso in mezzo a mille impegni e fatiche inutili, senza ricaricarsi con la preghiera e la vicinanza a Dio. Senza lo Spirito di Dio si rimane schiacciati sotto incalcolabili problematiche e non si riesce a ritrovare la gioia autentica.
Solo Gesù vi dona la forza per superare le prove e seguire il Bene. Pregate di più il Rosario e consacratevi alla Madonna tutti i giorni. Buona preghiera a tutti.

A - Jesus puts the miracles as yardstick. They indicate the presence of God in the midst of the people. Is not only a spiritual presence. God became incarnate as a man and this is the contradiction that denounce Jews unable to elevate and to understand that this is not a contradiction. Miracles testify that Jesus is not only a man.
We always want a proof to confirm the words, at least one only proof.
Jesus gave thousands of indisputable evidences on his Divine nature, linked to that of humans. The tests are those that authenticate the sincerity of the words, and that confirm the goodness of the apostolate. They are the mark of good faith with which you work.
In Catholic environment today, we hear of many appearances and many visionaries.
Except for the few true cases, none of the alleged visionaries has never offered a proof of truthfulness.
It is surprising the presence of thousands of pilgrims in these places that are infested by the diabolical presences and that release dangerous negativities to those who go there.
Many believers say that things have deteriorated after having attended false places of apparitions considered reliable.
There are many in addition to request offers for the apostolate. Let us try to understand what is behind. In these places of false apparitions, and on the web with daily blogs and newsletters requesting offers, all speak to bear the costs, but to which expenses are they referring to?
We must be mindful of the many requests that come from many parts and that refer to Jesus, to the life, the family, the apostolate, when in reality they refer to commitments that do not require expenditure. This is an apostolate that is accomplished with the newsletters, there is therefore nothing to pay.

In Italy there are men and women, called holy men just to deceive, and that release demonic negativities.
In Internet there are sites and Catholic blogs who continually ask offers for inconclusive initiatives that do not bring help to the Church nor to the spirituality of the believers. For what purpose are these offerings addressed? It is not preferable help the canteens of the poor’s and the authentic works of the apostolate?
We must well understand the use of requested offers. I have always invited people to visit the Association and to see the works that is already happening.
The improvement of our simple and essential structure, will allow to organize meetings of spiritual formation and periodicals teachings as a school of prayer. It can be from any part to be formed in the truth of sound Catholic doctrine.
Our Association in these years has been continuously providing help to poor families and to physical and spiritual sick’s. Through priests and nuns we sent offers to the Catholic missions. It is therefore important to support the activities of the apostolate of Priests as missionaries in the world.
Bank transfers indicate the donations sent to a Priest in Kenya and that takes care of adoptions of children at a distance, even in other nations of Africa. These are just some of the initiatives that I bring forward. I do not wish to speak about simply not flaunting our works of charity that are never ending. I am sorry not to be able to do more for the unfortunate people who live in poor nations, but I would like to be able to do much more. Meanwhile, with your donations I helped and I’m helping many poor Italian families.
Yesterday it was announced that in Italy there are more than 10 million Italians below the poverty line.
I don't care only of the poor’s, who live in poor situations. I am especially afraid of spiritual poverty. I scatter books and books of prayers without aim of making profit with many expenses to support the management of the Mariana Opera.
Publications which I spread are sold at a price far below the normal commercial values , and this indicates my total detachment from money. But the money is still required to print, disseminate the sound Catholic doctrine and help the poor’s.
Jesus today condemned the cities that did not accept Him, while the pagan cities will suffer less torment for the little knowledge of Him.
Jesus says that "in the day of Judgment" many non-believers will be treated less harshly of those Catholics who have not moved a finger to help the poor’s, to increase the Catholic Apostolate, and to spread in their talks with relatives, friends and acquaintances the Word of God.
Jesus takes aim three cities that they had known its extraordinary works, without accepting him nor repent of their sins . He indicates to the inhabitants of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum the woe that predict severe punishments.
In the Judgment there will be non-believers who did not follow Jesus, but have done good works and will forward to believers. Good prayer at all.

B - Jesus did not come to bring peace to the earth because his Word also separates the members of the family, but the peace that is missing on the earth is the consequence of the ambition of little responsible characters. Jesus cannot bring peace in all the hearts of are the men to reject it, those who reject Him does not receive his peace and choose the interior war against the other.
Where there is no peace of Jesus is always a rebel, unruly and often bad soul.
The Gospel speaks of separation between family members. It is more precise to speak of a division. In fact, it is a divergence of views, a contrast and a disagreement. While separation indicates a break, and something traumatic.
Whoever does not receive the Gospel commits a separation from Jesus. It is a choice of free-living with the painful consequences that gradually will unveil. Detachment from Jesus is a ruinous, interior and quiet trauma. Certainly it causes disturbance also in atheists, a unconscious disturbance for the lack of good in their lives.
It is an upheaval detach ourselves from Jesus. The mental obfuscation leads far away and discovers at the same time our ruin.
Is not Jesus to separate the religious choices of a family. The components are divided between those who have Faith and others who greatly profited. His Word is like a sword that divides, while Jesus is Love and brings peace in the hearts of those who receive Him.
Then He points out that loving a family more than Him is an error. In that case, the love remains human and passionate, it does not rise to the Sky. Different is when you love a family member in God by putting Him in the middle of everything and trying to find its desire in all actions of the family.
Without God you choose according to the flesh to satisfy the other members of the family in difficult choices, while to follow the will of God means seeking for what He wants and that is always the best thing. This is the true Faith. Here you can see the love that you have for Jesus.
Jesus also speaks of the glass of water donated in his Name to his disciples. Here also He promises its reward to the benefactors. He will make them many Graces, proportionate to what they have done to others. Good works always attract the Graces of God, and nothing should be lost of aids donated to the neediest, of sincere friendship, of the act always with right intention.

C – In the most painful moment of his life because of the tremendous suffering, when he was about to leave the earth in a humiliating manner but with the absolute certainty of having done all, Jesus spoke his supreme testament and entrusted the humanity to his Mother. She knew very well her task set by the Son, but so that it was felt by the presents, Jesus repeated the words revealed in many talks to His Mother: every human being is your son.
John represented men and women of all times. He was the best example to indicate to humanity how should become every true follower of Jesus Christ. It is a difficult task, and it takes a commitment greater than the natural human capacity. Only the aid of the Blessed Virgin can allow true conversion, which explains itself as interior transfiguration.
Each of us is considered as the true son of the Blessed Mother. She has given birth to us in the supreme pain under the Cross.
She has a unique interest toward each of us. She knows us perfectly because she sees us in the Light of God, and knows the sufferings, the moral tests, the humiliations, revenges, the free manacles suffered from all of us. The Mother suffers with us, weeping tears of blood to see corruption in the world and for the suffering of his children who love Her with special love.
The feast of Our Lady of Carmel reminds us that this Mother does never distract her eyes from each one of us. Convince yourself of this great and beautiful truth. This is one of the more ancient Marian devotions. For centuries it has been venerated with particular participation also for the apparition to general of the Carmelite Order, St. Simon Stock.
The July 16, 1251 Our Lady revealed to him an extraordinary devotion, gave him the Brown Scapular in fabric and revealed very important privileges linked to his worship. These are the words said by Our Lady to St. Simon:
"Receive, beloved son, the Scapular of the Order, a sign of my fraternal friendship, privilege for you and for all Carmelites. Those who will die coated of this Scapular will not go in the fire of hell. It is a sign of salvation, of protection and support in dangers and a covenant of peace forever".
This wonderful promise of the Blessed Virgin is not of little value for the Christian who truly wants to save his soul. Many Popes and theologians have confirmed and explained that the people who have a true devotion for the Scapular and uses it, actually will receive from Mary the Grace of repentance and of final perseverance.
After the apparition to St. Simon Stock, the Carmelite Order flourished and knew other periods of glory, thereby increasing in the whole Catholic Church the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. In this Order were born three luminaries, not to mention that these will shine everywhere and always in the firmament of the Church: St Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross and Teresa of the Child Jesus, all three proclaimed "Doctors of the Church".
A second promise made by Our Lady of Mount Carmel, gave an even more importance to the devotion of the Scapular. The Blessed Virgin appeared to Pope John XXII and she said the following:
"O John, Vicar of my beloved Son… grant ample confirmation to my holy and devout Order of Carmel, begun by Elijah and Elisha… and also other, if they join, they will be part of devotion, bringing the Holy Habit… I, Mother of Grace, will deliver them as soon as possible and especially on the first Saturday after their death, those who I find on Purgatory I will deliver them and will bring them to the holy mountain of Eternal Life".
The same Pope, on march 3, 1322, confirmed this plenary indulgence in the famous Sabatina Bubble, later confirmed by Popes Alexander V, Clement VII, Paul III, St Pius V and St. Pius X.
In 1950, Pope Pius XII wrote above the Scapular, expressing his desire because " is the symbol of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, of which we have much need in these times so dangerous".
Also wrote: "this is not a small matter, but the purchase of Eternal Life, by virtue of the traditional promise of the Blessed Virgin. This is in fact the most important achievement and the most secure way to implement it…" ( "Neminen profecto", 11 February 1950).
Pope Paul VI exhorted in 1965: "We have in great esteem the practices and exercises of piety toward the Most Blessed Virgin, recommended along the centuries by the Magisterium of the Church, among whom we estimate to expressly remember the religious practice of the Rosary and the Scapular of Carmel".
Even the Pope St. John Paul II has recommended it insistently.
At the beginning the Scapular was solely for the exclusive use of Carmelite friars. Later, the Church, desiring to extend the privileges and the spiritual benefits of this religious habit to all Catholics, extended the possibility of its receipt for all the faithful.
Our Lady, with Her revelation, she wanted to say that anybody who will wear and will forever bring the Scapular, not only will be saved eternally, but will also be defended in life from dangers.
We must not believe, however, that the Madonna wants to generate in the man the intention to achieve Paradise, continuing to sin, but rather that thanks to Her Promise, she is working effectively for the conversion of the sinner, which brings with faith and devotion the Scapular up to the point of death. D - Jesus calls the tired humanity to draw near to Him to recover from the fatigue that comes from the stirring and worries. More or less all we are tired. There is also a weariness that slows down and destroys morally: idleness. Doing nothing is a danger to the Christian, when there is not a good commitment always arrives the sinful thought and almost always it is performed.
The tiredness of this society can be seen in continuous search of the news. There is no more satisfaction in the things that you know and you will be assaulted by boredom. This brings forth the agitation and the nervous search to find other entertainments. In all this there is the increase of the tiredness, I mean primarily that mental, then comes also the physical.
Now let's look at what happens in the summer. Many vacationers choose places a bit away from home because they prefer a particular area of sea, mountain or other. Free to do so. I cannot explain the choice of places where absolutely there is not a minute of silence day and night to relax the mind and the body. The clever holiday is prepared without improvising and establishing priorities. Those who choose the place where there is a celebration day and night must not then complain when he returns home destroyed.
There is a meter away from knowing how to use an assessment that must first consider the good of the soul and the rest of the body, not to mention, for those who research, the moment of fun during the day. But to remain all the time where there is always music or in locations too noisy and devastating for the psyche, is never a smart holiday.
Millions of Italians fall destroyed from vacation, come home and want to rest to recover from the fatigue of the holiday ...
Holidays are an opportunity to recharge yourself and not for destruction, are ideal days to find a greater psychophysics serenity, for download stress and tensions and, not to double them.
Everyone decides on its holidays and is the protagonist of the construction of a strong spirituality or of the destruction of his spirituality. Believers that pray feel a particular attraction toward an environment more crop, finding also moments to play and have fun, to stand together with friends and relax even during the pleasant talks.
I write on holidays because in the past I have seen many people destroyed. I stand in front of the Tabernacle and I get my rest. I assure you that there is no better place to pick up strength because it is the Almighty to transmit its force.
My choice to remain near the Tabernacle when you return from vacation is to charge the spiritual. Holidays are also for the Consecrated important periods of spiritual and physical refreshment. Then depends on each to choose the destinations.
As I wrote, when the holidays are spent in agitation, are not a good thing for the person, and in many people have a negative influence for a long time when you resume the job or it is time to go home.
There you can find depressed, dejected, paradoxically tired: start the usual autumnal routine is not easy. It has lost the spirit of summer cheerful and free, and is again in the morning vigils and work commitments. The disorder of adaptation manifests itself when it passes from a period of rest to a heavy rhythm and that lasts for a variable time.
The tiredness indicated by Jesus is not just the post-holiday. He speaks of the weariness of life, throughout the year spent in the midst of thousands of commitments and useless labors, without recharging with the prayer and the closeness to God. Without the Spirit of God remains crushed under incalculable problems and you are unable to find authentic joy.
Only Jesus gives us the strength to overcome the trials and follow the Good. Pray more the Rosary and consecrate yourself to the Madonna all days.
