Catechesi N. 37
A - Il giuramento, ossia l'invocazione del Nome di Dio a testimonianza della verità, non può essere prestato se non secondo verità, prudenza e giustizia.
B - Gesù oggi ci spiega l'amore per i nemici. E’ un amore difficilissimo da realizzare. Consiste nel pregare per coloro che ci perseguitano oltre che nel non rendere male per male. È la tattica di Dio per vincere il male.
C - Siamo chiamati come cristiani ad amare indistintamente tutti, non solamente quelli che ci fanno del bene. Non è facile amare tutti. Ci si riesce nella misura in cui si elimina l'amor proprio e si lascia operare lo Spirito Santo.
D - Non sono inizialmente le opere a santificare il credente. Prima sono le sue rette intenzioni a renderlo gradito a Dio e degno di immensa fiducia.
E - Non è con la ripetizione di parole senza senso o di richieste prive di amore che si apre il Cuore di Gesù, già disponibile ad elargire Grazie a quanti pregano con umiltà e fiducia.

Guardate questo video così capite perchè il clima sta cambiando e agosto e sembra autunno. Chi ha poteri di fermare questi individui lo faccia quanto prima. Bisogna ribellarsi a queste scie chimiche che infestano il nostro Cielo.

A - Moltissime persone giurano con facilità estrema, spesso coinvolgono i familiari per rendere più credibile la loro parola. Questi giuramenti non sono corretti perché si chiama a testimonio un'altra persona anche se è un familiare. Invece nel giuramento corretto si può chiamare in causa un essere superiore, appunto Dio solo. Fare ricorso ai giuramenti con facilità può far cadere in peccati gravi.
Gesù insegna che ogni giuramento implica un riferimento a Dio e che la presenza di Dio e della sua verità deve essere onorata in ogni parola. La discrezione del ricorso a Dio nel parlare procede di pari passo con la rispettosa attenzione per la sua presenza in ogni nostra affermazione.
Quando nel giuramento il Nome di Dio viene pronunciato invano, si commette peccato contro il 2° Comandamento.
La Legge comanda che il Nome di Dio sia onorato e con esso non si facciano che giuramenti santi. Proibisce di invocarlo stoltamente, e di giurare con esso alcunché di falso, di vano, di temerario.
Oggi per spiegare la validità del giuramento trascrivo dal Catechismo della Chiesa alcuni paragrafi che trattano l'argomento.
«Il 2° Comandamento proibisce il falso giuramento. Fare promessa solenne o giurare è prendere Dio come testimone di ciò che si afferma. È invocare la veracità divina a garanzia della propria veracità. Il giuramento impegna il Nome del Signore. "Temerai il Signore Dio tuo, Lo servirai e giurerai per il suo Nome" (Dt 6,13).
Astenersi dal falso giuramento è un dovere verso Dio.
Come Creatore e Signore, Dio è la norma di ogni verità. La parola umana è in accordo con Dio oppure in opposizione a Lui che è la stessa Verità. Quando il giuramento è veridico e legittimo, mette in luce il rapporto della parola umana con la Verità di Dio. Il giuramento falso chiama Dio ad essere testimone di una menzogna.
È spergiuro colui che, sotto giuramento, fa una promessa con l'intenzione di non mantenerla, o che, dopo aver promesso sotto giuramento, non vi si attiene. Lo spergiuro genera una grave mancanza di rispetto verso il Signore.
Impegnarsi con giuramento a compiere un'opera cattiva è contrario alla santità del Nome divino.
Gesù ha esposto il 2° Comandamento nel discorso della montagna: "Avete inteso che fu detto agli antichi: Non spergiurare, ma adempi con il Signore i tuoi giuramenti! Ma Io vi dico: non giurate affatto [...]. Sia invece il vostro parlare sì, sì; no, no; il di più viene dal maligno" (Mt 5,33-34.37).
Seguendo San Paolo, la Tradizione della Chiesa ha inteso che la Parola di Gesù non si oppone al giuramento, allorché viene fatto per un motivo grave e giusto (per esempio davanti ad un tribunale). "Il giuramento, ossia l'invocazione del Nome di Dio a testimonianza della verità, non può essere prestato se non secondo verità, prudenza e giustizia".
La santità del Nome divino esige che non si faccia ricorso ad esso per cose futili e che non si presti giuramento in quelle circostanze in cui esso potrebbe essere interpretato come un'approvazione del potere da cui ingiustamente venisse richiesto.
Quando il giuramento è richiesto da autorità civili illegittime, può essere rifiutato. Deve anche essere rifiutato allorché è richiesto per fini contrari alla dignità delle persone o alla comunione ecclesiale (CCC 2150-2155)».

B - In questa fase della sua missione Gesù era impegnato a formare gli Apostoli. Egli non si preoccupava solo della istruzione, ma trovava il tempo anche per questo. La loro formazione era molto importante. Li aveva scelti per proseguire la sua identica missione e il lavoro spirituale era maggiormente impegnativo.
In questo Vangelo Gesù disegna la fisionomia morale del cittadino del Regno dei Cieli. Egli espone tutti i gradini della scala che giunge alla vetta della santità. Sicuramente il discepolo del Signore verrà a contatto quotidianamente con i malvagi, ed il suo agire nei loro confronti dovrà differenziarsi mostrando una piena diversità rispetto alla mentalità comune del mondo.
Questo passaggio è delicato e non tutti riescono ad agire con pazienza e bontà dinanzi a violenze e cattiverie.
Gesù parla di un atteggiamento privo di vendetta. Il cristiano non può agire come i mondani che seguono la legge del taglione.
Il Signore attorniato dai suoi discepoli approccia l'insegnamento con questa famosa introduzione: "Avete inteso che fu detto". Egli rimanda ai tempi antichi, quando la vendetta era molto spesso sproporzionata al danno subito. Fu così che, per porre un limite e un rimedio alle violenze eccessive, si ricorse ad un utilizzo equanime della vendetta stessa: “Occhio per occhio” e “dente per dente”.
Detto ciò, Gesù passa ad elencare alcuni comportamenti che hanno sconvolto i discepoli. Insegnamenti innovativi rispetto alle antiche Scritture e un po’ leggeri da un punto di vista sociale. Prima Gesù presenta una regola pesante che essi non dovranno mai dimenticare: "Ma Io vi dico di non opporvi al malvagio", ed è questa la continuazione dell'introduzione di cui sopra.
"Avete inteso che fu detto… Ma Io vi dico di non opporvi al malvagio".
Una frase che ha scosso i presenti e continua ad arrecare un po’ di malessere a quanti si sentono animati e agitati interiormente da pensieri vendicativi. L'agitazione arriva dal ricordo di essere state vittime dei cattivi, ed è umanamente comprensibile il desiderio di far provare ai mascalzoni le stesse sensazioni, paure e umiliazioni provate da noi stessi, forse per lungo tempo. Gesù però ci chiama ad un altro comportamento: "Ma Io vi dico di non opporvi al malvagio".
Non dice solo questo, va oltre ed elenca alcuni comportamenti da assumere dinanzi ai malvagi. Solo le anime forti e quelle animate da una buona Fede riescono a praticare gli insegnamenti che andiamo a meditare.
"Se uno ti dà uno schiaffo sulla guancia destra, tu porgigli anche l’altra". Gesù indica una specie di resistenza passiva, che non è vendetta né pusillanimità. È preferibile sopportare un'offesa che ricambiarla: così Gesù spiega come si porge l'altra guancia. Significa presentare ai malvagi un altro aspetto che non conoscono, ed è la bontà. L'altra guancia da presentare è l'amore che compatisce e perdona.
Gli altri esempi che dice Gesù indicano la disponibilità a saper perdere qualcosa, anche un po’ di tempo, per dare una forte testimonianza.
In sintesi, Gesù oggi ci spiega l'amore per i nemici. E’ un amore difficilissimo da realizzare. Consiste nel pregare per coloro che ci perseguitano oltre che nel non rendere male per male. È la tattica di Dio per vincere il male.

C - Quando si parla di nemici si pensa quasi sempre ad estranei, persone invidiose che vivono male e sfogano la frustrazione con cattiverie e badilate di odio. Forse pochi, al pensiero dei nemici, focalizzano qualche familiare, a meno che non si tratti di una avversità ostinata. In ogni famiglia si vivono spesso prove, ma non sempre ci sono nemici. All'esterno invece i nemici non mancano. In ogni ambiente lavorativo si creano conflitti anche per piccole controversie.
In ogni famiglia non mancano le incomprensioni e le amarezze. Alle volte uno dei due coniugi tradisce e poi se ne pente amaramente, dopo avere scoperto come si vive male quando si inganna il coniuge e la coscienza lo incolpa di essere infedele. Ci sono pure coniugi che continuano a tradire e non avvertono alcun senso di colpa, ma essi non devono vivere bene.
Sono peccati gravi commessi da tanti che però li considerano inesistenti o leggerissimi a causa del vuoto morale dilagante. Gli infedeli arrivano anche ad accusare quegli amici o quelle amiche che non vogliono tradire la moglie o il marito e questo è un modo per quietare la propria coscienza.
Se il peccato viene commesso anche dai conoscenti, si prova meno imbarazzo, almeno fino a quando esiste un po’ di amore per il coniuge. Se l'amore è assente, non esiste neanche il senso di colpa.
A Motta Visconti (MI) è stata compiuta una strage da un marito e padre scatenato che aveva una sola idea nella mente: liberarsi dei familiari che gli impedivano una vita libera. Amava un'altra donna, e non riusciva ad allontanare il pensiero di distruggere la propria famiglia.
Qui abbiamo un padre che arriva ad uccidere i propri bambini per sentirsi libero di operare altre scelte di vita. Una follia che può commettere chi non ha una minima protezione di Dio. Oltre a questa mancata protezione egli non aveva più neanche la percezione di Dio.
L'uomo aveva visto nella propria famiglia l'impedimento per iniziare una nuova relazione sentimentale. Si trovava in una situazione spirituale disastrosa, devastata dai peccati, e il suo Angelo Custode non è riuscito a distoglierlo dai suoi nefasti intendimenti per l'oscuramento totale del suo intelletto.
Poteva escogitarlo anche una moglie un progetto di morte, ma esso non si realizza se nella persona c'è una minima presenza di Dio!
La moglie dell'omicida e mamma di due piccoli bambini è stata colpita alle spalle. Come alle sue spalle il marito con molta probabilità avrà commesso tanti tradimenti, fino a tradire se stesso, facendo versare tutto il sangue della donna con cui aveva stretto un patto davanti a Dio e alla Chiesa.
Egli si è spinto oltre, e ciò mostra che grande era la sua rabbia verso i familiari, uccidendo anche i suoi due piccoli angeli. Sicuramente innocenti nel cuore ma condannati ad una morte terribile da colui che li aveva generati e che doveva proteggerli dai nemici. Qui il padre è stato il loro definitivo nemico. Infatti è stato proprio lui a spegnere le loro fresche vite. Essi hanno avuto la gola tagliata nel sonno e non hanno potuto chiamare il loro padre per essere aiutati, per il grido soffocato dal coltello tagliente e perché era proprio il padre a decidere la loro prematura morte.
La moglie, dopo essere stata colpita, ha guardato il marito che continuava ad infierire sul suo corpo di donna inerte e, mentre stava morendo versando il sangue sul pavimento, ha detto al carnefice: "Perché mi fai questo… perché…?".
Questa domanda richiede una risposta dal punto di vista spirituale. E’ una domanda che si porta dietro moltissime risposte ma mi limito a descrivere l'essenziale. Ho riflettuto sulla vicenda e ne ho tratto molti spunti di meditazione sulla crisi della famiglia e sulla violenza nelle famiglie.
Ho già delineato a grandi linee la devastante putrefazione interiore del marito causata dai molti peccati commessi. Non voglio infierire ulteriormente su di lui. La situazione è questa e non si possono utilizzare altri termini. Gli auguro la vera conversione, dopo il primo atto sincero della sua vita, con il profondo pentimento davanti al confessore.
Riflettendo sull'uomo, egli ha avuto un cambiamento dopo essere rimasto 24 ore in stato di fermo, sottoposto a un severo interrogatorio. Prima degli omicidi l'uomo risultava impassibile e cinico, insensibile e vuoto di ogni sentimento verso i familiari. Mentre dopo le 24 ore di silenzio e riflessione dinanzi agli inquirenti egli ha detto improvvisamente: "Voglio il massimo della pena".
Da dove arriva la furia omicida dell'uomo? Non si tratta di omicidi d'impeto, essi sono stati premeditati. I pensieri di morte gli sono arrivati alla mente chissà da quanto tempo prima e lui li accarezzava, perché il pensare alla "libertà riacquistata" dopo il matrimonio lo rendeva felice. Egli non è riuscito a dominare una follia. Solo una persona che perde la testa lascia sviluppare in sé progetti di morte verso i propri familiari.
Era solo, anche se con tanti amici. Era solo con le sue frustrazioni, pieno di sé e delle sue conquiste lavorative e sentimentali.
Voleva eliminare in qualche modo la famiglia ma si era trattenuto chissà per quanto tempo. Era troppo vulnerabile per la sua vita dissipata e satana ha fatto di lui quello che ha voluto. Così si riduce la persona che non prega e si trova in una condizione passiva dinanzi a tremende tentazioni che lo spingono a lasciare la famiglia o a distruggerla nel sangue.
Questo è quindi il motivo di tante disgrazie familiari e di tanti litigi: la mancanza di Gesù nei loro cuori, la lontananza dalla preghiera.
È stata una strage che lascia riflettere sulla condizione di molte persone che considerano un fallimento o un impedimento il matrimonio e cercano soluzioni alternative. Questo marito e padre con molta freddezza ha sgozzato le persone che lo amavano di più.
Qualsiasi persona senza Dio rimugina e congettura azioni cattive. Questo uomo ha pianificato tutto e dopo gli omicidi è andato tranquillamente al bar a vedere la partita di calcio dell'Italia. Gli amici ricordano che era sereno, ma egli aveva commesso tre orribili omicidi pochi minuti prima. Il titolare del bar ha detto: "Era tranquillo, sembrava felice. Ha fatto il tifo, e dopo l’incontro è tornato a casa da solo".
In lui è avvenuto un cambiamento pieno. Prima della strage era freddo, insensibile, violento e, dopo il pentimento in caserma e la "quiete" mentale ritrovata dopo 24 ore di silenzio, ha compreso l'orribile violenza compiuta. Così è ogni persona che vive lontana da Dio. E’ assalita da pensieri di trasgressione, di tradimenti, di ricorso alla magia, di morte. Ricordo che anche con le diffamazioni si procura la morte della buona reputazione altrui.
Molte persone lasciano dimorare nella mente pensieri strani, come in una gestazione. Sono forse pronti a metterli in atto? Nessuno ha chiaro questo, fino al momento in cui essi agiranno oppure con la preghiera riusciranno ad allontanarli definitivamente.
Gesù ci invita ad amare anche i nemici. Quindi i familiari sono persone predilette ed amatissime, chi può sostituirli?
Per noi non esistono nemici, e non dobbiamo mai pensare a qualsiasi forma di rivalsa perché Dio vede tutto ed interverrà quando il tempo sarà maturo. Dio è un Padre che si preoccupa di tutti, e non vuole penalizzare i cattivi in quanto spera nella loro conversione.
Siamo chiamati come cristiani ad amare indistintamente tutti, non solamente quelli che ci fanno del bene. Non è facile amare tutti. Ci si riesce nella misura in cui si elimina l'amor proprio e si lascia operare lo Spirito Santo. Abbiamo visto che i frutti di questo Divino Spirito sono: bontà, benevolenza, amore, gioia, pace, pazienza, fedeltà, mitezza, dominio di sé.
I cristiani che seguono con impegno Gesù sono fortunati perché sono benedetti da Dio. Sono felici interiormente, ma spesso dimenticano questa immensa gioia. Sono ricchi di Dio e spesso non se ne accorgono. Cosa abbiamo fatto noi per avere la benedizione di una Fede che dà alla nostra vita essenza spirituale e autenticità?
Noi dobbiamo tutto alla Madonna. Lei ci ha amato e ci salverà. Ringraziamola con un amore straordinario e costante. Recitiamo il Rosario! Tutto è poco per Te o Madre.

D - Il Vangelo oggi tocca un aspetto molto delicato e sottile della vita spirituale: la retta intenzione. Mette una sostanziale distinzione tra l'atto esterno e l'intenzione, quando questa è, appunto, non retta. È la condizione di chi pensa qualcosa e ne dice o compie un'altra.
Un'azione priva di genuinità, quindi di sincerità e di semplicità non è pura. Essa si trasforma in ipocrisia, in inganno, in ostentazione.
È sottile la separazione tra la retta intenzione e l'amor proprio. Non è sempre facile accertare questa distinzione, anche perché la poca spiritualità di un credente esprime anche una scarsa capacità di conoscenza personale, di amore verso Gesù, di purificazione interiore.
La retta intenzione diventa sempre più gradita a Gesù nella misura della sua purificazione e di una conversione sincera.
Dovete chiedervi, senza allarmarvi e senza abbattervi, quale pensiero vi spinge nel compiere un'azione e altre opere che esteriormente danno l'impressione di gesti caritatevoli. Quale pensiero arriva alla mente e si esegue quando si compiono determinati gesti buoni?
Spesso arriva la tentazione di satana per farvi perdere meriti davanti a Dio. Ma il più delle volte è lo spirito umano a far scaturire un doppio pensiero, che si sovrappone al primo e magari quest’ultimo era buono di suo. Ma ne arriva un secondo, che viene accolto ed applicato a quell'azione. Essa così, in un istante, perde la grande validità davanti a Dio e si svuota della santa intenzione.
È questo un discorso delicato e inesplorato. Forse troverete qualche spiegazione sulla retta intenzione ma non sul secondo pensiero che si conosce solo per Grazia di Dio. I diavoli cercano in continuazione di distogliere nei cristiani le buone intenzioni, quelle che rendono un'azione santa pur essendo piccola.
Un piccolissimo sacrificio con una intenzione retta vale più delle penitenze di un anno con una intenzione piena di amor proprio.
Sta qui la vera chiave per rendere le nostre opere, piccole e grandi, sante davanti a Dio. Opere compiute non per essere ammirati, non per vanagloria, non per superbia. Le anime spirituali vigilano attentamente per non lasciare stabilizzare un solo pensiero ingiusto o sleale e così invalidare, compromettere, un'azione che in realtà vogliono compiere per amore di Dio e del prossimo.
Nulla si deve compiere "davanti agli uomini per essere ammirati da loro, altrimenti non c’è ricompensa per voi presso il Padre vostro che è nei Cieli". Arriva una grande ricompensa ai buoni che con cuore puro agiscono con piena onestà. Dio è contento di loro ed elargisce ad essi abbondanti Grazie. Essi sono mediatori stimati dall'Altissimo, e sono le intenzioni rette in ogni opera a renderli attendibili.
La ricompensa di Dio non è qualcosa in più o è trascurabile. E’ l'espressione del suo Amore e il premio della nostra fedeltà.
Non tutti i credenti ricevono ricompense da Dio in questa vita e forse neanche nell'altra non fanno nulla per ricevere ricompense. Dio però è Padre misericordioso e concede gratuitamente doni e aiuti anche a quanti non li meritano, anche se essi non ne approfittano e sperperano ogni bene.
Cercare di ingannare Dio è un atteggiamento che si commenta da solo. Non è l'ostentazione ad ingannare Dio perché Lui vede dentro, e conosce perfettamente tutto di noi. Quelli che fingono una falsa spiritualità "hanno già ricevuto la loro ricompensa".
Non sono inizialmente le opere a santificare il credente. Prima sono le sue rette intenzioni a renderlo gradito a Dio e degno di immensa fiducia. Solo così Dio si fa conoscere sempre più e inonda l'anima del credente del suo Spirito Divino.
Questo il motivo della grande spiritualità che posseggono le anime buone.

E - I discepoli di Gesù dopo avere ascoltato tanti insegnamenti pieni di Luce, chiedono a Gesù di conoscere il modo corretto di pregare, e vogliono che sia Lui a spiegare la vera preghiera. Questo lascia intendere l'esistenza di una molteplicità di preghiere. Lo sappiamo bene che la preghiera non si improvvisa e nessuno la scopre con le proprie capacità.
La preghiera migliore si conosce seguendo un cammino di ricerca con l'aiuto di bravi formatori. Ma se la preghiera si cerca dove essa non è presente o dove si prega malissimo, il credente non comincerà mai a pregare bene.
Anche noi dobbiamo chiedere a Gesù: "Signore insegnaci a pregare". Da soli o seguendo metodi di preghiera modernisti e molto umani, non si riuscirà mai ad entrare nella vera Via che conduce alla Vita.
Non è sufficiente pregare. L'ho scritto tantissime volte. Dobbiamo pregare bene e per farlo c'è un cammino spirituale da compiere. Fortunati quelli che trovano le indicazioni eccellenti per non smarrirsi nella selva della confusione.
Ci sono milioni di anime nel mondo chiamate da Gesù ad un cammino di santità elevato ma non trovano consigli corretti e si fermano.
Come vedete, sono necessari dei santi formatori per guidare le anime verso la perfezione. Occorre la loro disponibilità giornaliera nell'attendere e nell'ascoltare con amore e pazienza i credenti, altrimenti questi mollano tutto o si rivolgono alla magia occulta. Con impegno dobbiamo pregare ogni giorno per i Vescovi, i Sacerdoti, i Religiosi. Da essi possono arrivare le sante istruzioni e una profonda conoscenza della Parola di Dio.
È possibile pregare in molti modi diversi ma una sola modalità è quella corretta e la precisa il Signore: "Voi dunque pregate così".
Gesù ci insegna attraverso le buone guide spirituali e, se ci disponiamo bene, attraverso le sue ispirazioni a pregare efficacemente.
In famiglia è diventato un po’ difficile pregare insieme o quantomeno parlare delle cose di Dio. Ma se non si prega bene neanche esiste il desiderio di parlare del Vangelo. I genitori sono presi da tantissimi impegni e dimenticano presto che solo restando in comunione con Gesù si riesce a realizzare bene il proprio lavoro e a svolgere le mansioni giornaliere.
Le famiglie italiane si vanno progressivamente allontanando da Gesù e dai Sacramenti. E comunque si possono distaccare anche con il cuore pur andando a Messa ogni domenica quando la loro vita è costellata di molti peccati gravi e di scelte sbagliate.
Voi genitori dovete riprendere il Rosario ed invitare i familiari a recitarlo insieme almeno una volta al giorno. E’ il Rosario che innesta la mediazione della Madonna sulla vostra famiglia e vi proteggerà costantemente. Recitate ogni giorno l'atto di consacrazione a Lei, chiedendo di salvare dai pericoli i vostri familiari e poi di salvare le loro anime. La preghiera fatta bene è di una potenza unica.
Molte famiglie non pregano insieme perché non conoscono la preghiera. In questo caso potete invitare altri che già pregano o raggiungerli per imparare a parlare con Dio. Non è un parlare parolaio. E’ l'apertura del cuore all'Amore di Dio, a Gesù tanto buono e misericordioso.
"Pregando, non sprecate parole come i pagani: essi credono di venire ascoltati a forza di parole".
Non è con la ripetizione di parole senza senso o di richieste prive di amore che si apre il Cuore di Gesù, già disponibile ad elargire Grazie a quanti pregano con umiltà e fiducia. "Non siate dunque come loro, perché il Padre vostro sa di quali cose avete bisogno prima ancora che gliele chiediate".
Dio ci conosce perfettamente e nulla gli sfugge. Di ognuno di noi, conosce pensieri e sentimenti occulti di tutti.
I discepoli chiesero a Gesù di conoscere la vera preghiera e Lui ha insegnato il Padre Nostro. Poche parole che comprendono una amorosa lode e la richiesta umile di protezione. Questa preghiera è potente contro i diavoli. Anche se inizialmente la sopportano, poi sono costretti alla sconfitta e perdono potere. Mentre quando sentono l'Ave Maria impazziscono perché è l'inno che si rivolge ad una Creatura perfetta divenuta Madre di Dio e Onnipotente per Grazia.
Gli angeli dannati vengono umiliati e costretti a ininterrotte sconfitte da una Creatura. La devozione alla Madonna è indispensabile.
Gesù poi invita i discepoli a perdonare sempre, e precisa che il credente che non perdona, non riceve il perdono del Padre.

Catechesis # 37
A - An oath, that the invocation of the Name of God to witness to the truth, can’t be taken unless in truth, in judgment and justice.
B - Today, Jesus tells us to love our enemies. It’s a love difficult to achieve. It is to pray for those who persecute us as well as in the not to return evil for evil. It is the tactic of God to overcome evil.
C - We are called as Christians to love everyone equally, not just those who do us good. It is not easy to love everyone. It succeeds to the extent that it eliminates the self-respect and let the Holy Spirit work.
D – Works are not initially to sanctify the believer. First are his good intentions to make him pleasing to God and worthy of great trust.
E - It is not the repetition of meaningless words or applications without love that open the Heart of Jesus, already available to bestow Graces to all who pray with humility and trust.

A - Many people swear with incredible ease, often involving family members to make more credible their word. These oaths are not correct because it is called to witness another person even if it is a family member. Instead, in the correct oath you can call upon only a higher being, God only just. Making use of oaths can easily drop in grave sins.
Jesus teaches that every oath involves a reference to God and that God's presence and his truth must be honored in every word. The discretion of the appeal to God in the talk goes hand in hand with respectful attention to His presence in all our assertions.
When oath in God's name is spoken in vain, it is a sin against the 2nd Commandment.
The Law commanded that the name of God has to be honored and that with it do so only holy oaths. The Law prohibits invoke it foolishly, and swear it with anything false, vain, foolhardy.
Today to explain the validity of the oath I transcribe by the Catechism of the Church a few paragraphs that deal with the topic.
"The 2nd Commandment forbids false oaths. Taking an oath or swearing is to take God as witness to what we say. It is to invoke the divine truthfulness as a guarantee of our veracity. An oath engages the Lord's Name. "Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, thou will serve Him, and shalt swear by His Name" (Deut 6:13).
Rejection of false oaths is a duty toward God.
As Creator and Lord, God is the norm of all truth. The human word is in agreement with God, or in opposition to Him who is Truth itself. When the oath is truthful and legitimate, sheds light on the relationship of human speech with God's Truth. False oath calls on God to be witness to a lie.
Perjury is a person who, under oath, makes a promise with the intention not to keep it, or who, having promised under oath, does not keep it. Perjury creates a serious lack of respect for the Lord.
Engage with an oath to do an evil deed is contrary to the holiness of the divine Name.
Jesus explained the 2nd Commandment in the Sermon on the Mount: "You have heard that it was said to the ancients: Do not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord thine oaths! But I say unto you: swear not at all [...]. Both instead your speech be yes, yes; no, no; more than this comes from evil "(Mt 5,33-34.37).
Following St. Paul, the Tradition of the Church has understood that the Word of Jesus is not opposed to the oath, when it is done for a grave and right reasons (for example, before a court). "The oath, namely the invocation of the Name of God to witness to the truth, cannot be taken unless in truth, in judgment and justice."
The holiness of the divine name demands that we neither use it for trivial things and do not take an oath in those circumstances in which it could be interpreted as approval of an authority unjustly requiring it.
When an oath is required by illegitimate civil authorities, it may be rejected. It must also be rejected when it is required for purposes contrary to the dignity of persons or to ecclesial communion (CCC 2150-2155).

B - In this phase of his mission Jesus was committed to training the Apostles. He not only cared about the instruction, but found time for that too. Their training was very important. He had chosen them to pursue hts identical mission and spiritual work was more challenging.
In this Gospel, Jesus draws the moral character of a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Exposes all the steps of the staircase that leads to the summit of holiness. Surely the disciple of the Lord will come in daily contact with the wicked, and his action against them must differentiate itself by showing a full diversity with respect to the mentality of the world.
This step is delicate and not all are able to act with patience and kindness before violence and malice.
Jesus speaks of an attitude devoid of revenge. The Christian cannot act as the socialites who follow the law of retaliation.
The Lord surrounded by his disciples approaches teaching with this famous introduction: "You have heard that it was said." He refers to ancient times, when revenge was very often disproportionate to the harm suffered. So it was that, in order to limit and remedy the excessive violence, people resorted to using a fair-minded revenge itself: "An eye for an eye" and "tooth for a tooth."
That said, Jesus goes on to list some behaviors that have shocked the disciples. Innovative teachings when compared to the ancient Scriptures and a little ‘light’ from a social point of view. Before Jesus has a heavy rule that they must never forget: "But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil," and this is the continuation of the above introduction.
"You have heard that it was said ... But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil."
A phrase that has rocked the audience and continues to cause a little discomfort to those who feel inwardly agitated and animated by vengeful thoughts. The excitement comes from the memory of having been victims of bad, and it is humanly understandable the desire to try to rascals the same feelings, fears and humiliations experienced by ourselves, perhaps for a long time. But Jesus calls us to a different behavior: "But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil."
He does not say only this, He goes further and lists some behaviors to be taken before the wicked. Only strong souls and those animated by a good Faith don’t fail to practice the teachings that we go to meditate.
"If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." Jesus indicates a kind of passive resistance, which is not vengeance nor pusillanimity. It is better to endure an offense that reciprocate it: so Jesus explains how to turn the other cheek. Means presenting to the wicked another aspect they do not know, and it's goodness. The other cheek to be submitted is the love that is compassionate and forgiving.
Other examples that Jesus says indicate the willingness to know how to lose something, even a little time, to give a strong testimony.
In summary, today Jesus tells us to love our enemies. It’s a difficult love to achieve. It is to pray for those who persecute us as well as in not returning evil for evil. It is the tactic of God to overcome evil.

C - When it comes to enemies you think almost always strangers, envious people who live badly and vent frustration with malice and hatred shovel. Maybe just few, at the thought of enemies, focus on some family, unless it is a stubborn adversity. In each family often we live challenges, but not always there are enemies. While outside enemies abound. In any working environment we found conflicts, even for small disputes.
In every family there are misunderstandings and bitterness. Sometimes one spouse cheating and then regrets it bitterly, after finding out what life is like bad when you deceive your spouse and your conscience blames you of being unfaithful. There are also spouses who continue to betray and do not feel any sense of guilt, but they do not have to live well.
These are grave sins committed by many that consider them to be non-existent or very light because of rampant moral vacuum. The infidels are also coming to accuse those friends or girlfriends who do not want to cheat on his wife or husband, and this is a way to appease their conscience.
If the sin is also committed by acquaintances, it feels less embarrassment, at least until there is a little love for your spouse. If love is absent, there is not even a sense of guilt.
At Motta Visconti, a little town near Milan, a massacre has been carried out by a unleashed husband and father who had only one idea in mind: to get rid of family members who prevented him from a life of freedom. He loved another woman, and he could not dismiss the thought of destroying his family.
Here we have a father who comes to kill his children to feel free to make other choices in life. A madness that can make only those who do not have a minimum protection of God. Apart from this lack of protection he had not even the perception of God.
The man had seen in his own family the impediment to start a new relationship. He was in a dire spiritual situation, devastated by sins, and his Guardian Angel could not dissuade him from his nefarious intentions for the blackout of his intellect.
Also a wife could draft a project of death, but it cannot be achieved if there is in the person a minimal presence of God!
The murderer's wife and mother of two small children was hit from behind. How behind her the husband probably will have made so many betrayals, up to betray himself, making pour all the blood of the woman with whom he had made a covenant before God and the Church.
He went further, and this shows that great was his anger toward his family, also killing his two little angels. Surely innocent in the heart but condemned to a terrible death by the man who had begotten them and had to protect them from enemies. Here the father was their final enemy, in fact he was the one that turned off their fresh lives. They have had their throats cut in their sleep and they could not call their father for help, for the muffled cry from the sharp knife and it was just the father to decide their untimely death.
His wife, after being hit, looked at her husband who continued to rage on her inert body of a woman, and while she was dying pouring blood on the floor, she said to the executioner: "Why are you doing this ... why ...?".
This question requires an answer from the spiritual point of view. It 'a question that goes back many answers, but I will only describe the essential. I have reflected on the matter and I have gained many insights of meditation on the crisis of the family and violence in families.
I have already outlined in broad terms the devastating inner rot of the husband caused by many sins done. I will not further rage on him. The situation is this, and we cannot use other words. I wish him the true conversion, after the first sincere act of his life, with the deep repentance before the confessor.
Reflecting on the man, he had a change 24 hours after being detained, subjected to a severe interrogation. Before the murders the man appeared unmoved and cynical, callous and empty of any feeling towards the family. While after 24 hours of silence and reflection before investigators he said suddenly, "I want the maximum sentence."
From where comes the murderous rage of the man? It is not about murders on impulse, they were premeditated. The thoughts of death came to his mind who knows how long before and he caressed them, because thinking of the "regained freedom" after the marriage made him happy. He could not dominate a folly. Only a person who loses his head let him develop in his mind projects of death to their families.
He was alone, although with so many friends. He was alone with his frustrations, full of himself and of his working and sentimental conquests.
He wanted to eliminate somehow the family but he was held back for who knows how long. It was too vulnerable due to his dissipated life, and Satan made of him what he wanted. So reduces himself who does not pray and is in a passive condition before terrible temptations that lead him to leave his family or to destroy it in the blood.
This then is the reason of many family tragedies and of so many quarrels: the lack of Jesus in their hearts, their remoteness from prayer.
It was a massacre that leaves reflecting on the condition of many people who consider the marriage a failure or an impediment and seek alternative solutions. This husband and father very coolly slaughtered the people who loved him most.
Any person without God broods and conjectures wrongdoing. This man has it all planned out, and after the murders quietly went to the bar to watch the football game of Italy. His friends recall that he was serene, but he had committed three horrific murders a few minutes before. The owner of the bar said: "He was quiet, seemed happy. He cheered for Italy, and after the game he returned home alone."
A full change happened in him. Before the massacre he was cold, callous, violent and, after the repentance in the police station and the “mental quiet” found after 24 hours of silence, he realized the horrible violence committed. So is every person who lives far away from God. He is assailed by thoughts of transgression, betrayal, of recourse to magic, of death. I just remember that even with the defamation we can procure the death of the good reputation of others.
Many people leave strange thoughts dwelling in their mind, as in a pregnancy. Perhaps are they ready to put them in place? Nobody knows, until the moment in which they will act or with prayer will be able to permanently remove them.
Jesus calls us to love even our enemies. So our family members are cherished and beloved people, who can replace them?
For us there are no enemies, and we must never think of any form of retaliation because God sees everything and will act when the time is ripe. God is a Father who cares for all, and not to penalize the bad guys as he hopes in their conversion.
We are called as Christians to love everyone equally, not just those who do us good. It is not easy to love everyone. It succeeds to the extent that it eliminates the self-respect and let the Holy Spirit work. We have seen that the fruits of this Divine Spirit are: goodness, kindness, love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Christians who follow Jesus with commitment are lucky because they are blessed by God. They are happy inside, but often they forget this immense joy. They are rich in God and often do not realize it. What have we done to have the blessing of a Faith that gives to our life spiritual essence and authenticity?
We owe it all to Madonna. She loved us and will save us. Thank Her with extraordinary and constant love. Pray the Rosary!

D - The Gospel today touches a very delicate and subtle aspect of the spiritual life: the honest intention. Makes a substantial distinction between the external action and the intention, when this is, in fact, not honest. It is the condition of those who think something and say or make another.
An action deprived of authenticity, thus of sincerity and simplicity is not pure. It turns into hypocrisy, deception, in ostentation.
It's thin the separation between the honest intention and self-love. It is not always easy to ascertain this distinction, because the lack of spirituality of a believer also expresses a low capacity for personal knowledge, love for Jesus, inner purification.
The honest intention becomes more and more pleasing to Jesus to the extent of its purification and a sincere conversion.
You have to ask, without cautious and not cutting you down, what thought urges you to take an action and other works that outwardly give the impression of charitable gestures. What thought comes to mind and you run when you perform certain good actions?
Often comes the temptation of Satan to make you lose merits before God. Most of the time is the human spirit to bring forth a double thought, which overlaps the first and maybe the latter was good in itself. But it comes a second, which is accepted and applied to that action. So , in an instant, it loses the great validity in front of God and empties itself of the holy intention.
This is a sensitive and unexplored speech. Maybe you'll find some explanation on the honest intention but not on the second thought that is known only by Grace of God. Devils seek constantly to distract Christians in the good intentions, those that make holy an action despite being small.
A small sacrifice with an honest intention is worth more than a year of penance with a plan full of self-love.
Herein lies the real key to making our works, large and small, holy before God. Works carried out not to be admired, not for vainglory, not for pride. The spiritual souls carefully ensure do not let stabilize one unjust or unfair thought and thus invalidate, compromise, an action that actually they want to do for love of God and neighbor.
Nothing must be done "before men, to be seen admired by them, otherwise there is no reward for you from your Father who is in Heaven." A great reward will come to the good that act with a pure heart and with complete honesty. God is pleased with them and gives them abundant Graces. They are valued mediators by the Most High, and their honest intentions in every deed make them reliable.
The reward of God is not something extra or negligible. It’s the expression of His Love and the reward of our faithfulness.
Not all believers receive rewards from God in this life and perhaps even in the other they do nothing to receive rewards. But God is merciful Father and gives free gifts and help also to those who do not deserve them, even if they do not take advantage of it and they squander all good.
Try to fool God is an attitude that speaks for itself. It is not ostentation to deceive God because He sees inside, and knows everything about us. Those who pretend a false spirituality "they have already received their reward."
Initially are not the works to sanctify the believer. First are his honest intentions to make him pleasing to God and worthy of great trust. Only in this way God makes himself more known and increasingly floods the soul of the believer of his Divine Spirit. That is why the good souls possess great spirituality. Good prayer at all.

E - The disciples of Jesus, after listening to many teachings full of Light, ask Jesus to know the proper way to pray, and they want Him to explain the true prayer. This suggests the existence of a multiplicity of prayers. As we well know that prayer cannot be improvised, and no one discovers it with its own abilities.
The best prayer is known by following a path of research with the help of good trainers. But if you look at the prayer where it is not present or where prayers are terrible, the believer will never begin to pray well.
We too have to ask Jesus, "Lord, teach us to pray." Alone or following modernists and very human methods of prayer, we will never be able to enter into the true Path that leads to Life.
It is not enough to pray. I've written this many times. We need to pray well and to do it there is a spiritual journey to accomplish. Lucky those who find excellent directions for not getting lost in the jungle of confusion.
There are millions of souls around the world called by Jesus to a high path of holiness but they cannot find the correct advices and then stop doing.
As you can see, saints trainers are needed to guide the souls to perfection. It should be their daily availability in waiting and listening with love and patience the believers, otherwise these give up all or turn to the occult magic. Every day we must pray with commitment for Bishops, Priests, Religious. Since from them can be provided the holy instructions and a deep knowledge of the Word of God.
You can pray in many different ways, but only one mode is correct and it is explained by the Lord: "Pray then like this".
If we well arrange ourselves, Jesus teaches us to pray effectively through his good spiritual directions and his inspirations.
In our families it has become a bit hard to pray together, or at least talk about the things of God. But if we do not pray well not even exist a desire to share the Gospel. The parents are taken by many tasks and soon they forget that only remaining in communion with Jesus they are able to realize their jobs well and to carry out everyday tasks.
Italian families are gradually moving away from Jesus and the Sacraments. And anyway, they can also detach from their heart while going to Mass every Sunday when their life is full of many grave sins and bad choices.
You parents need to resume the Rosary and invite family members to recite it together at least once a day. It’s the Rosary that engages the mediation of Our Lady on your family and will constantly protect you. Each day recite the act of consecration to Her, asking for you to save your family from the dangers and then to save their souls. The prayer well done is a unique power.
Many families do not pray together because they do not know the prayer. In this case, you can invite others who already pray or join them to learn to talk with God. It has not to be a windbag speak. It has to be the opening of the heart to God's Love, to Jesus so good and merciful.
"In praying, do not babble like the pagans: they believe will be heard for their much speaking."
It is not the repetition of meaningless words or demands without love that opens the Heart of Jesus, already available to bestow Graces to all who pray with humility and trust. "Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."
God knows us perfectly and nothing escapes. He knows the hidden thoughts and feelings of each of us.
The disciples asked Jesus to know the true prayer and He taught the Our Father. A few words that comprise a loving praise and humble request for protection. This prayer is powerful against devils. Although initially they bear it, then they are forced to defeat and lose power. While when they hear the Ave Maria they get crazy because it is the anthem that caters to a perfect Creature become the Mother of God and Almighty for Grace.
The damned angels are humiliated and forced to uninterrupted defeated by a Creature. Devotion to Mary is indispensable.
Jesus then invites the disciples to always forgive, and states that the believer who does not forgive, does not receive the Father's forgiveness.
