A - La preoccupazione e lo smarrimento di molti cristiani che si trovano improvvisamente colpiti da sofferenze simili a una grande tempesta di vento, sono accentuate dal crollo fulmineo e inatteso di ciò che consideravano di possedere: la Fede.
B - La docilità di Simeone deve essere presa ad esempio da molti cristiani. Essi si ingannano quando agiscono per puro egoismo e per esaltare se stessi. A cosa servono la Messa e le preghiere se si esalta un idolo personale e non si segue la Parola di Dio?
C - Gli spiriti impuri indicati nel Vangelo non sono morti e vogliono dannare l'umanità. Il Signore si presenta sempre nella vita degli uomini liberandoli dai mali che li tormentano, e questo avviene quando si prega bene e si cambia vita.
D - Nella necessità qualsiasi persona è pronta ad umiliarsi e a chiedere aiuto, quindi a mostrarsi buona, ma ciò avviene solo nel bisogno. Quindi, Gesù interviene quando Lo invochiamo con umiltà e non nell'illusione di avere raggiunto la perfezione.

A - La preoccupazione e lo smarrimento di molti cristiani, che si trovano improvvisamente colpiti da sofferenze simili a una grande tempesta di vento, sono accentuate dal crollo fulmineo e inatteso di ciò che consideravano di possedere: la Fede.
Molti dicono di avere una grande Fede considerando che vanno a Messa e pregano, senza comprendere che queste pratiche sono solamente il substrato, quindi la base fondamentale per costruire l'edificio spirituale, ma non sono sufficienti a conseguire la perfezione cristiana.
Molti si cullano con la testa fra le nuvole per la frequenza ad incontri di preghiera e si glorificano, celebrano se stessi per quella partecipazione, inconsapevoli che il vero cammino spirituale inizia solamente quando si lavora sul proprio rinnegamento e si comincia a praticare l'umiltà.
L'atteggiamento degli Apostoli nella barca, mentre le onde la sballottavano, indica ancora la loro lontananza dall'abbandono in Gesù. Essi contavano molto sulle loro capacità, non erano ancora entrati nella spiritualità del Vangelo. Infatti dopo i miracoli di Gesù si chiesero imbarazzati e impauriti: "Chi è dunque Costui, che anche il vento e il mare gli obbediscono?".
Notate che non è sufficiente frequentare un po’ Gesù per acquisire la grande virtù dell'umiltà. Quando avvenne questo episodio gli Apostoli stavano con il Signore ma ciò di per sé non era sufficiente. Stare vicino a Gesù significa avere piena fiducia in Lui, abbandonarsi alla sua volontà, compiere tutto quello che ci chiede nel Vangelo.
Ma come possiamo vivere i suoi insegnamenti se non li mettiamo al primo posto e non li meditiamo profondamente?
Un altro spunto lo trovo in questa frase: "Egli se ne stava a poppa, sul cuscino, e dormiva".
La poppa è la parte posteriore di un'imbarcazione, ovvero quella parte situata all'estremità opposta della prua che si trova davanti, nella direzione di navigazione. Gesù sistemato nella zona posteriore della barca, manifesta l'atteggiamento del comandante che osserva tutto e dà le indicazioni, ma Gesù non volle umiliare i pescatori, così dormiva anche per riposare il Corpo.
Nella vita di molti cristiani Gesù appare come uno che dorme, che non è presente quando si trovano nelle sofferenze, e si sbagliano di grosso.
Gesù sembra assente perché non interviene quando non è invocato, così lascia liberi gli uomini di compiere le scelte personali; ma quando la tempesta si fa violenta, hanno paura e cominciano ad invocarlo. Gesù subito si mostra presente e se la Fede di chi lo invoca è forte, interviene immediatamente per annullare il vento e calmare l'agitazione del mare.
È la prova che Gesù ci guarda sempre e non dorme mai. Nella barca era il Corpo stanco di Gesù a riposare ma Dio non dorme mai.
Gesù è onnipotente e tutto gli è sottomesso, i diavoli, la natura, le malattie, tutto obbedisce al suo comando. Chiedete e otterrete. Buona preghiera a tutti.
B - Il 2 febbraio la Chiesa celebra la presentazione al Tempio di Gesù, popolarmente chiamata festa della Candelora, perché in questo giorno si benedicono le candele, simbolo di Cristo "Luce per illuminare le genti", come il Bambino Gesù venne chiamato dal vecchio Simeone al momento della presentazione al Tempio di Gerusalemme, celebrazione che era prescritta dalla Legge giudaica per i primogeniti maschi.
La festa è anche detta della Purificazione di Maria, perché, secondo l'usanza ebraica, una donna era considerata impura del sangue mestruale per un periodo di 40 giorni dopo il parto di un maschio e doveva andare al Tempio per purificarsi: il 2 febbraio cade appunto 40 giorni dopo il 25 dicembre, giorno della nascita di Gesù.
Questo giorno è inoltre dedicato alla Vita Consacrata, un ricordo particolare dei Religiosi che hanno seguito Gesù con la consacrazione e l'osservanza dei Voti religiosi. È la giornata di preghiera per i Religiosi di tutti gli Ordini e, non solo per la drastica diminuzione delle vocazioni, è una preghiera sincera per la loro santificazione.
Quando un Consacrato dona pienamente la sua vita al Signore, vivendo i Voti con assoluta fedeltà, fa scaturire fiumi di Grazie per gli altri.
Oggi è l'occasione per gli Ordini Religiosi di pregare per la Vita Consacrata, assieme a tutto il popolo di Dio. Le tradizionali candele, segno della Luce del mondo, il Cristo nato per gli uomini di buona volontà, indicano che ogni cristiano deve essere luce nel mondo e la luce deve essere viva come la sua Fede.
Oggi la Luce viene presentata al Tempio, oramai oscurato e reso luogo di commercio. La Luce illumina sempre, anche le tenebre.
C'è un personaggio principale nell'incontro che fa la Santa Famiglia. E’ un anziano rimasto per anni lì nel Tempio ad attendere la venuta del Messia. Non sapeva in che modo Egli sarebbe venuto nel mondo, quindi era lo Spirito a guidarlo e a farlo rimanere in quel luogo. Tutti gli ebrei attendevano un Messia politico o comunque guerrigliero, per vincere i Romani, invece Simeone non si poneva il dubbio e rimaneva dove lo aveva spinto Dio.
La docilità di Simeone deve essere presa ad esempio da molti cristiani. Essi si ingannano quando agiscono per puro egoismo e per esaltare se stessi. A cosa servono la Messa e le preghiere se si esalta un idolo personale e non si segue la Parola di Dio?
La docilità è uno dei tratti distintivi del cristiano che riesce a rinnegarsi e a compiere non ciò che piace ma ciò che è lecito.
Tante cose possono piacere anche se apparentemente non peccaminose, ma dietro queste cose poi si arriva a commettere il peccato grave. Non bisogna considerare solamente il piacere o l'utilità di una cosa, c'è da capire con intelligenza e intuizione dove portano quelle scelte.
Moltissime scelte di vita sembrano innocue, ma queste nascondono un mondo occulto fatto di immoralità, perversioni, magia.
La docilità che vediamo in Simeone ci commuove, egli non si pose domande illogiche e stupide come fanno quelli che devono ancora iniziare il cammino di Fede, mentre presumono di meritare il titolo di santi! La docilità indica una Fede profonda, perché si pone piena fiducia in Gesù che non si vede, quindi è un atto di fiducia straordinario. Mentre è facile dire sì a un comando piacevole e dato da una persona che vediamo.
Simeone era illuminato e mosso dallo Spirito di Dio, dopo molti anni di attesa fu ispirato ad andare incontro alla Santa Famiglia e a chiedere di prendere in braccio il Bambino. Maria glielo diede perché Ella era pienamente visitata dallo Spirito Santo e vedeva nell'anziano un uomo di Dio. Per Simeone fu un momento di immensa gioia, poteva stringere il Messia e contemplare l'Atteso delle genti.
Dopo averlo preso in braccio, Simeone profetizzò un inno di morte: "Egli è qui per la rovina e la risurrezione di molti in Israele, segno di contraddizione perché siano svelati i pensieri di molti cuori". Mentre esaltava la venuta del Messia, indicava anche la sua missione che avrebbe portato la salvezza per molti ma anche la condanna per altri.
La seconda parte della sua profezia riguardava la Madonna, a Lei indicava quanto sarebbe stata cruda la sua sofferenza: "E anche a te una spada trafiggerà l'anima". Per una madre è un dolore atroce sapere già in anticipo la sorte del proprio figlio. Questo lo ha vissuto con assoluta pienezza la Madre Santa, sia quando comprese la fine dolorosa di Gesù ma ancora di più quando Lo vide crocifisso e rinnegato.
La Luce dello Spirito che ha illuminato Simeone, vuole illuminare tutti i cristiani di buona volontà per renderli docili e buoni. Questa Luce di Dio non agisce mai dove c'è la falsa luce dell'orgoglio e della presunzione di essere autosufficienti.
Una delle tre concupiscenze afferma che la superbia della vita si vive senza rendersene conto, perché non c'è la capacità di guardarsi dentro e scoprire che la Luce di Dio è spenta, perché prevale l'amor proprio. Sembra un mistero e molti cristiani rinunciano di indagare interiormente per conoscersi, quindi è preferibile chiedere consigli ad un Padre spirituale se possibile nella nostra zona.
Simeone fu illuminato perché viveva nel rinnegamento dei propri peccati e cercava di conoscere Dio. Un ebreo qualsiasi poteva vedere nel Bambino la gloria del popolo d'Israele, invece Simeone illuminato dalla Luce di Dio ha visto con gli occhi della Fede il Salvatore promesso "davanti a tutti i popoli". Gesù non veniva per rendere grande Israele, ma per salvare tutti gli uomini fino alla fine del mondo.
Gesù è venuto ad illuminare il mondo immerso nelle tenebre, e ancora oggi vuole far diventare splendida luce il buio che ci circonda.
Oggi è la giornata della vita, Dio è Padre di tutti, nel Vangelo infatti vediamo un Bambino, due adulti e due anziani. Viene rappresentata la vita umana in tutte le sue fasi, questo ci indica che ogni vita è preziosa davanti a Dio, nessuno deve sprecare inutilmente la sua esistenza.
La vita è un dono di amore, non sprecatela nell'indifferenza, vivetela pienamente come vuole Gesù nel Vangelo. Buona preghiera a tutti.
C - Gli spiriti impuri indicati nel Vangelo non sono morti né hanno cambiato padrone. Sono sempre i diavoli dannati che vogliono condannare l'umanità. Nel Vangelo, l'uomo posseduto "gridava e si percuoteva con pietre". Oggi non sono molti i casi di manifestazioni impressionanti che i diavoli compiono in una persona. La loro strategia è quella di non farsi scoprire per non permettere alla persona posseduta di cercare l'esorcista.
Ma i casi di possessioni silenziose sono incalcolabili, considerando che la possessione ha gradualità di intensità diverse e tutte dannose.
Se Dio dovesse costringere nello stesso momento i diavoli a manifestarsi nelle persone possedute di tutto il mondo, si vedrebbero situazioni da manicomio in tutti gli ambienti. Apparirebbe un disordine e un'agitazione imbarazzante per molti di quelli che ostentano successi, ma che sono posseduti per diverse ragioni: per la pratica volontaria della magia occulta; per la vita sconsiderata (droghe, alcool, immoralità); per le maledizioni inviate dagli invidiosi.
Anche se per possessione si intende la presenza dei diavoli nel corpo di una persona, bisogna anche considerare che le possessioni variano di intensità e potenza. E’ certo che oltre il 95% delle possessioni di 1°, 2° o di 3° grado rimangono silenziose, non si scatenano. I pensieri delle persone possedute sono impregnati pienamente di spirito satanico e le loro scelte sono sempre opposte alla verità e al bene comune.
Solamente i cristiani che scoprono la presenza dei diavoli, riescono col tempo a liberarsi per mezzo di esorcismi e preghiere. Le presenze dei diavoli si possono sconfiggere e distruggere, occorre pazienza, preghiera e molta Fede.
Oggi Gesù ci mostra che ad una sola sua parola tutti i diavoli presenti nel corpo dell'uomo si terrorizzarono e scapparono via.
Riguardo i gradi di intensità demoniaca e la presenza dei diavoli in una persona posseduta, solitamente la manifestazione esteriore avviene dove c'è maggiore potenza perché c'è una forte causa che li ha fatti entrare in quel corpo. I diavoli si manifestano solitamente dove la possessione è di 3° grado. Qualche volta essi si manifestano anche quando la possessione è più debole perché negli esorcismi vengono disturbati e reagiscono in modi diversi.
Nelle persone che patiscono malesseri e disturbi strani, costrette a continue visite mediche e ad assumere molti farmaci, e che non sono mai state oggetto di manifestazioni esterne dei diavoli, le presenze negative sono di entità minore. Il segnale che devono pregare molto e ricorrere agli esorcismi, arriva da situazioni strane ed inspiegabili che si verificano spesso.
Con la venuta di Gesù è arrivata anche la disfatta di satana, che fa di tutto per resistere e non farsi scacciare dai corpi posseduti. Per questo sceglie il silenzio. Come negli altri miracoli, quando Gesù scaccia i demoni manifesta il suo potere redentore. Il Signore si presenta sempre nella vita degli uomini liberandoli dai mali che li tormentano, questo avviene quando si prega bene e si cambia vita.
Molti cristiani vogliono restare con un piede in due staffe, cercano di pregare e di continuare la vita dissipata e vuota...
Difficilmente vinceranno i disturbi malefici, la loro Fede rimane debole e incostante, le preghiere vengono recitate per necessità e non per amore di Dio. La Fede, l'amore verso tutti e l'umiltà, terrorizzano i diavoli, ma non si può praticare virtuosamente se l'applicazione è debole e instabile.
Quando Gesù è presente i diavoli tremano e si lamentano con Lui perché è venuto a distruggere il loro regno sulla terra: "Ti scongiuro, in nome di Dio, non tormentarmi!". La presenza dei diavoli nel corpo di una persona o in una famiglia che viene torturata in mille modi, è favorita anche dall'attaccamento alle cose materiali, considerate inconsciamente quasi un idolo. Maggiore è questo legame minima è la forza per vincere i disturbi demoniaci.
Aiutare i poveri o le Opere di carità cristiana è un atto di amore, e dinnanzi a questo amore i diavoli sono costretti a scappare.
Nel Vangelo vediamo l'uomo liberato dalla tremenda possessione e una mandria considerevole di porci che è andata perduta nel mare. Tra la liberazione e la rinascita ad una vita normale dell'uomo posseduto e la perdita del denaro, cosa è stato più conveniente?
Molti cristiani cercano la liberazione dalle presenze negative e da malattie strane ma non fanno nulla per distaccarsi da quei beni che prima o poi lasceranno. Tutte le cose della terra sono mezzi per avvicinarci a Dio. Se non servono a questo, non servono a niente. Gesù vale molto più di qualsiasi affare, più della stessa vita.
Il desiderio disordinato nelle persone poco spirituali porta a cercare beni maggiori, porta imborghesimento, comodità, lusso, capricci, spese superflue, ecc. Il cristiano autentico deve essere distaccato da quanto possiede, deve mettere tutto nel Cuore di Gesù e chiedere a Lui come disporre. Da questo atteggiamento distaccato si comincia la vera vita spirituale, la liberazione graduale dai malefici, la ritrovata pace nel cuore e nella famiglia.
Il Signore vale infinitamente di più di tutti i beni creati. Buona preghiera a tutti.
D - Da Gesù andavano i non credenti, anche gli ebrei che non accettavano assolutamente la nuova dottrina fondata sull'amore. Essi erano tutti alla ricerca di qualcosa: chi di un miracolo, altri della verità, altri ancora dell'identità smarrita. Andò da Lui anche uno dei capi della Sinagoga, di nome Giàiro. Era tra coloro che perseguitavano Gesù. Il Vangelo afferma che "come Lo vide, gli si gettò ai piedi e Lo supplicò con insistenza".
Questa scena sconvolse e toccò in modo diverso gli ebrei presenti. Un fatto inusuale avvenne con questo gesto del capo della Sinagoga. Gettarsi in ginocchio ai piedi di Gesù e pregare per ottenere un miracolo fu la conferma che molti ebrei ammiravano il Signore ma non potevano manifestarlo pubblicamente per paura di ritorsioni. Giàiro lo fece, solo perché costretto dalla malattia della figlia.
"La mia figlioletta sta morendo: vieni a imporle le mani, perché sia salvata e viva". Chissà quante preghiere aveva rivolto a Jahvè nel Tempio, e non poteva immaginare che il nuovo Tempio Divino era proprio il Maestro che predicava nella sua città.
L'atteggiamento di Giàiro è indecifrabile dopo una prima lettura del testo. Cosa lo mosse in realtà ad andare a trovare Gesù? Lo considerava Messia o vero Figlio di Dio? Era attratto dai miracoli oppure vedeva con la sua fede che dietro i miracoli non poteva che agire Dio?
Di sicuro era in buonafede perché subito Gesù lo seguì: "Andò con lui". Gesù non gli pose neppure una domanda, non c'era necessità di interrogare un uomo che viveva un dramma spaventoso e aveva manifestato la fede in Lui, pur sapendo che avrebbe ricevuto accuse e ritorsioni.
Nella necessità qualsiasi persona è pronta ad umiliarsi e a chiedere aiuto, quindi a mostrarsi buona, ma ciò avviene solo nel bisogno.
Però Giàiro non era cattivo, lo afferma implicitamente il testo, egli non poteva essere cattivo e gettarsi ai piedi di Gesù, perché il cattivo non è capace di umiliarsi fino a tanto. Il cattivo non chiede aiuto e non può mostrare un cuore buono come era quello del capo della sinagoga.
Quindi, Gesù interviene quando Lo invochiamo con umiltà, non nell'illusione di avere raggiunto la perfezione. Questo concetto lo ripeto spesso a causa della naturale inclinazione dell'uomo a considerare sempre buona ogni sua azione e a giustificare anche i peccati.
Un altro fatto avvenne subito dopo. Mentre Gesù si recava a casa di Giàiro, una donna "toccò il suo mantello". Tanti toccavano il mantello del Signore, ma non ricevevano alcun miracolo perché insieme al tocco bisognava accompagnare la propria Fede, e senza vera Fede non serviva a nulla toccare il mantello.
Significa che qualsiasi opera spirituale e le preghiere, se non sono ricolmate di una Fede viva, non servono a nulla.
È commovente l'umiltà della donna che non osava chiamare l'attenzione di Gesù e cercava di toccarlo almeno, perché la sua Fede era convinta e forte. Infatti, guarì subito dopo avere toccato il mantello di Gesù e non esultò per pudore, gioì e rimase felice interiormente. Ma quando Gesù volle conoscere la donna miracolata, essa avanzò "impaurita e tremante", quasi provando vergogna per il miracolo ricevuto e "gli disse tutta la verità".
Gesù aspettava questa testimonianza: "Figlia, la tua Fede ti ha salvata. Va in pace e sii guarita dal tuo male". Con questa parola la guarigione della donna divenne definitiva, nel senso che quella malattia non l'avrebbe più visitata. Dopo avere toccato Gesù, la donna veramente era stata guarita: "E subito le si fermò il flusso di sangue e sentì nel suo corpo che era guarita dal male". Era la guarigione della malattia ma nel futuro poteva nuovamente ritornare quel male, consideriamo inoltre che ella si trovava in quelle condizioni a causa di diagnosi sbagliate.
"Aveva molto sofferto per opera di molti medici, spendendo tutti i suoi averi senza alcun vantaggio, anzi piuttosto peggiorando".
Le malattie vengono e vanno via con le cure adeguate, a volte non vanno proprio via e causano drammi. Solo Gesù può debellare qualsiasi male; se rientra nella sua volontà, nessuna malattia può resistergli. La parola di Gesù alla donna guarita certifica che quel male non avrebbe mai più toccato lei, non sarebbe più ritornato.
Gesù certificò la guarigione della donna: "Va in pace e sii guarita dal tuo male".
Gesù sconfisse la malattia e impose di non toccare più il corpo della donna miracolata!

Many say they have a great Faith considering they are going to Mass and pray, without understanding that these practices are only the substrate, so the fundamental basis to establish the spiritual building, but they are not sufficient to achieve Christian perfection.
Many delude themselves with his head in the clouds for their frequency at prayer meetings and glorify, celebrate themselves for that participation, unaware that the real spiritual journey begins only when you are working on your denial and you begin to practice humility.
The attitude of the Apostles in the boat, tossed by the waves, still shows their remoteness from their dedication to Jesus. They heavily relied on their ability, had not yet entered the spirituality of the Gospel. In fact, after the miracles of Jesus they asked embarrassed and afraid: "who is this man, that even the wind and the sea obey him?".
It has to be noted that it is not enough to frequent a little Jesus to gain the great virtue of humility. When it came to pass that the Apostles were with the Lord but this in itself was not enough. Stay closed to Jesus means to have full confidence in him, surrender to his will, do everything He asks us in the Gospel.
But how can we live its teachings if we do not put them in first place and do not meditate on them profoundly?
I find another inspiration I in this sentence: "He stood at the stern, on the pillow, and slept".
The stern is the rear of a vessel, i.e. that part located at the opposite end of the bow that lies ahead, in the direction of navigation. Jesus placed at the rear of the boat, shows the attitude of the Commander who observes everything and gives you directions, but Jesus did not want to humiliate the fishermen, so he slept also to take a rest.
In the life of many Christians Jesus appears as one who sleeps, which is not present when you are in distress, and they are wrong.
Jesus seems absent because does not intervene when he is not invoked, so he lets men free to make personal choices; but when the storm becomes violent, they fear and begin to invoke it. Jesus immediately view present and if the Faith of whoever invokes is strong, He intervenes to cancel the wind and calm the agitation of the sea.
This is proof that Jesus always looks at us and never sleeps. Within the boat it was the tired body of Jesus to rest, but God never sleeps.
Jesus is Almighty and all is subdued, the Devils, nature, diseases, everything obeys his command. Ask and will receive.

Today is an opportunity for Religious Orders to pray for Consecrated Life, together with the whole people of God. Traditional candles, a sign of the Light of the world, the Christ born to men of goodwill, indicate that every Christian should be light in the world and the lamp must be alive as his Faith.
Today the light is presented in the Temple, now darkened and made place of commerce. The Light always illuminates, also the darkness.
There is a main character in the encounter with the Holy Family. It's an old man remained for years there in the Temple to await the coming of the Messiah. He didn't know how He would come into the world, and then had the Spirit to guide him and to remain in that place. All Jews were expecting a politician Messiah or anyway guerrilla to win the Romans , instead Simeon had no doubts and remained where God had pushed him.
The docility of Simeon shall be taken as an example by many Christians. They deceive when they act out of pure selfishness and to exalt themselves. What are the Mass and prayers if you emphasize a personal idol and do not follow the Word of God?
Docility is one of the hallmarks of Christian who manages to renounce and to do not what you like but what is lawful.
Many things can pleasure though sinful, but apparently not behind these things then you get to commit sin. We must not consider only the pleasure or utility of a thing, you need to understand with intelligence and intuition where lead those choices.
Many life choices seem harmless, but these hide an occult world of immorality, perversion, and magic.
The docility that we see in Simeon moves us, he didn't put illogical and stupid questions like those that have yet to begin the journey of Faith, while presume to deserve the title of Saints! Docility indicates a profound Faith, because it puts complete trust in Jesus that you don't see, so this is an act of extraordinary confidence. While it is easy to say yes to a nice command , given by a person who we see.
Simeon was illuminated and moved by the spirit of God, after many years of waiting he was inspired to reach out to the Holy Family and to ask to take the Baby in his arms. Mary gave the Baby to him because she was richly visited by the Holy Spirit and saw the old man as a man of God. For Simeone that was a moment of great joy, he could tighten the Messiah and contemplate the Expected of the peoples.
After having taken him up, Simeon prophesied a hymn of death: "He is here to ruin and resurrection of many in Israel, sign of contradiction because they revealed the thoughts of many hearts." While extolled the coming of the Messiah, he also indicated his mission that would bring salvation to many but also the condemnation of others.
The second part of his prophecy was about the Virgin Maria. He indicated to Her how much would be cruel her suffering: "and also with you a sword will pierce your soul". For a mother it is an atrocious pain to know in advance the fate of her son. This has been experienced with absolute fullness by the Holy Mother, both when she understood the painful end of Jesus but even more so when she saw him crucified and renegade.
Light of the spirit that has illuminated Simeon want to illuminate all Christians of good will to make them docile and good. This Light of God does not act where ever there is the false light of pride and presumption to be self-sufficient.
One of the three concupiscences states that pride of life you live without realizing it, because there is not the ability to look inside and discover that God's Light is off, because the self-respect prevails. It seems a mystery and many Christians renounce to investigate internally to better dig into themselves, so it's better to ask for advice to a spiritual father, if possible in our area.
Simeon was lit because he lived in the denials of its sins and he sought to know God. A Jew any could see in the Baby the glory of the people of Israel, Simeon instead, lit by the Light of God, has seen with the eyes of Faith the Savior promised "in front of all Nations". Jesus did not come to make great Israel, but to to save all mankind until the end of the world.
Jesus came to illuminate the world immersed into the darkness, and even today he wants to make splendid light the darkness that surrounds us.
Today is the day of life, God is father of all, in fact in the Gospel we see a child, two adults and two seniors. Human life is represented in all its phases, and this shows us that every life is precious to God, no one needs to needlessly waste his existence.
Life is a gift of love, not waste it into the indifference, live it fully according to Jesus in the Gospel.

C - Impure spirits referred to in the Gospel are not dead nor have changed owner. Are always the damned devils who want to condemn humanity. In the Gospel, the man possessed "screamed and cut himself with stones”. Today there are not many cases of manifestations astounding that the devils are in a person. Their strategy is to avoid being discovered not to allow the person possessed of trying the exorcist.
But the cases of silent possessions are incalculable, whereas possession has different intensity and gradation, all harmful.
If God were to force at the same time the devils to manifest in people held around the world, you see situations like in the lunatic asylum in all environments. Would look a mess and an embarrassing upheaval for many of those who flaunt achievements, but who are held for a variety of reasons: for the voluntary practice of occult magic; for reckless life (drugs, alcohol, immorality); for the curses sent by envious.
Even if possession means the presence of the devils in a person's body, we must also consider that the possessions vary in intensity and power. It is certain that more than 95% of the possessions of 1°, 2° or 3° can remain silent, do not trigger. The thoughts of the people held are fully impregnated of satanic spirit and their choices are always opposed to the truth and the common good.
Only Christians who discover the presence of the devils, they eventually freed by exorcism and prayers. The presence of the devils can be defeated and destroyed. It needs patience, prayer and a lot of Faith.
Jesus showed us that only with one of his words all the devils present in the human body get threatened and fled away.
About the demonic intensity levels and the presence of the devils in a person possessed, usually the external event happens where there is greater power because there has been a strong cause that made them get into that body. The devils usually occur where the possession is of degree 3. Sometimes they occur even when the possession is weaker because in exorcisms are disturbed and react in different ways.
In people who suffer from ailments and strange disorders, forced to continue medical checkups and take many drugs, and who have never been subject to external manifestations of the devils, negative appearances are minor. The signal they must pray much and resorting to exorcisms, comes from strange and inexplicable situations that often occur.
With the coming of Jesus came also the defeat of Satan, which does everything to resist and do not get cast out from the bodies. This is why he chooses silence. As with the other miracles, when Jesus casts out demons manifests his redemptive power. The Lord always occurs in the life of men, freeing them from the evils that oppress them. This happens when you pray and you change your life.
Many Christians want to stay with a foot in two brackets, trying to pray and to continue life dissipated and empty ...
Hardly they will win the evil disturbances, their Faith remains weak and erratic, prayers are recited by necessity and not for the sake of God. Faith, love and humility terrorize the Devils, but you can't practice virtuously if your application is weak and unstable.
When Jesus is present devils tremble and moan with him because he came to destroy their reign on Earth: "I charge you, in the name of God, do not torment me!". The presence of the devils in a person's body or in a family that is tortured in a thousand ways, is favored by the attachment to material things, considered almost unconsciously like an idol. The higher this bond is the minimum is the strength to overcome the demonic interferences.
Help the poor or the works of christian charity is an act of love, and before this love the devils are forced to flee.
In the Gospel we see the man freed from tremendous possession and a herd of pigs that has been lost in the sea. Between liberation and rebirth to a normal life of man possessed and the loss of money, what was more affordable?
Many Christians seek liberation from negative presences and strange diseases but do nothing to break away from those goods which will leave sooner or later. All things on earth are a means to get closer to God. If they don't use to this, they are useless. Jesus is worth far more than any deal, more of the same life.
The disordered desire in people with a little spiritual life leads to seek for major goods, target class values, comfort, luxury, unnecessary expenses, quirks, etc. The authentic Christian must be detached from what it has, he must put everything in the heart of Jesus and ask him how to lay. From this detached attitude begins the true spiritual life, gradual liberation from evil, found peace in the heart and in the family.
The Lord is worth infinitely more than all assets created.

D - By Jesus were non-believers, including Jews who did not accept the new doctrine founded on love. They were all looking for something: who by a miracle, others of the truth, still others of lost identity. Also one of the leaders of the Synagogue, named Giàiro, went to Him. He was among those who persecuted Jesus. The Gospel says that "as he saw Him, he threw himself at his feet and pleaded with persistently".
This scene shocked and touched differently Jews present. Something unusual happened with this gesture of the ruler of the Synagogue. Get down on your knees at the feet of Jesus and pray for a miracle was the confirmation that many Jews admired the Lord but could not manifest it publicly for fear of retribution. Giàiro he did, just because forced by her daughter's illness.
"My little daughter is dying: come to enforce your hands because both saved and alive". Who knows how many prayers had turned to Yahweh in the Temple, and could not imagine that the new Divine Temple was the Master who preached in his hometown.
The attitude of Giàiro is indecipherable after a first reading of the text. What actually moved him to go find Jesus? Considered him Messiah or son of God? Was attracted by miracles or saw with his faith that behind miracles could only act God?
For sure it was in good faith because Jesus immediately followed him: "He went with him". Jesus did not even put a question, there was no need to question a man who lived a scary drama and had expressed faith in him despite knowing he would receive accusations and retaliations.
Any person is willing to humble himself and ask for help in the need, then to be good, but this only happens in the need.
Though Giàiro was not bad, the text implicitly says this, he couldn't be bad and throwing at the feet of Jesus, because the poor cannot humble himself up to so much. The bad does not ask for help and can't show a heart as good as was the ruler of the Synagogue.
Then Jesus intervenes when we invoke Him with humility, and not in the illusion of having achieved perfection. I repeat often this concept due to the natural inclination of man to always consider good his every action and to justify even his sins.
Another fact occurred soon after. While Jesus went to the home of Giàiro, a woman "she touched his coat". Many touched the mantle of the Lord, but not received any miracle because together with the touch it was needed their faith, and without true faith they did not need to touch the mantle.
Means that any spiritual work and prayers, if not sustained by a living Faith, are useless.
It is touching the humility of the woman who dared not call attention to Jesus and tried to touch at least Him, because her Faith was strong and confident. In fact, she healed immediately after having touched the cloak of Jesus and she not leaped to modesty, rejoiced and was glad. But when Jesus wanted to know the woman miraculously cured, she made "afraid and trembling", almost feeling ashamed for the miracle received and "told him the whole truth."
Jesus expected this evidence: "Daughter, your Faith has saved you. Go in peace, and be healed of your evil ". With this world woman's healing became definitively, in the sense that the disease would not more visited her. After having touched Jesus, the woman really was healed: "and immediately stopped the flow of blood and she felt in her body that she was healed of evil". It was the healing of the disease but that bad could return again in the future, considering also that she was in those conditions due to wrong diagnosis.
"She had suffered a lot by many doctors, spending all his possessions without any advantage, but rather worsening."
Diseases come and go away with proper cares, sometimes do not go right away and cause dramas. Only Jesus can eradicate any harm; if it falls under his will, no disease can resist to Him. The word of Jesus to woman healed certifies that this evil would never touched her, would no longer be returned.
Jesus testified the healing of the woman: "go in peace, and be healed of your evil".
Jesus defeated the disease and ordered not to touch anymore the body of the woman saved by the miracle!
