A - La Parola di Dio deve osservarsi secondo lo spirito che l'accompagna, non dall'interpretazione che ognuno ne dà.
B - La vita immorale conduce a una drammatica condizione spirituale, si diventa ciechi, schiavi dei vizi e si adorano gli idoli. Il nostro cuore inaridito ci allontana da Gesù.
C - La vera conversione indica una nuova mentalità, non si può condurre una vita dissipata e dirsi seguaci di Gesù.
D – Il Digiuno. Per arrivare in alto pur riconoscendoci sempre povere creature, si deve mortificare la parte sensibile del nostro corpo, evitando di soddisfare i sensi su quelle cose inutili ma che sono diventate idoli o componenti molto importanti della nostra vita.

A - Il nuovo pretesto trovato dai Farisei riguardava un'osservanza che faceva parte della tradizione degli antichi, un rito imprescindibile usato prima di mettersi a tavola. Essi avevano visto i seguaci di Gesù raccogliere le spighe e poi prendere il cibo senza lavarsi le mani, mentre loro stessi, tornando dal mercato, facevano prima le abluzioni, che erano lavaggi accurati delle mani.
Il dramma non era dato da questi lavaggi, che tutti consideriamo necessari prima di mangiare e che comunque è bene ripetere spesso nella giornata, ma dalla errata interpretazione della tradizione dei loro padri da parte dei Farisei. Infatti essi erano convinti che, con il lavaggio delle mani, venisse compiuta una specie di purificazione interiore. In realtà, più che di purificazione si trattava di falsa religiosità.
La Parola di Dio deve osservarsi secondo lo spirito che l'accompagna, non dall'interpretazione che ognuno ne dà.
Anche oggi avviene questa interpretazione soggettiva delle Scritture. Molti hanno la convinzione, sbagliata, di essere autosufficienti perchè non seguono la Chiesa o fanno parte di comunità evangeliche. Nel mondo protestante nascono comunità come funghi; ognuno si sente autorizzato a fondare chiese evangeliche che in realtà sono comunità o assemblee di preghiera.
Il motivo di tanta eretica fioritura di nuove comunità evangeliche, che spesso negano alcuni Sacramenti e la devozione alla Madonna, arriva da uno spiccato senso di autonomia pericolosa che porta a staccarsi da Gesù, pur sostenendo di essere cristiani e seguaci del Cristo. Costoro si comportano come i Farisei di un tempo.
Chi osserva la Legge di Dio non può manipolarla secondo le proprie vedute, non può trarne interpretazioni a piacimento.
I Farisei si preoccupavano delle mani da lavare e non pensavano alla purificazione del cuore dai peccati, dall'arroganza, dall’orgoglio, dalla superbia e dall'ostentazione. Osservavano molte altre cose per tradizione, come il lavaggio e la pulizia di bicchieri, di stoviglie e di oggetti di rame. Le loro preoccupazioni erano fondate sull'apparenza e non sull'essenza. Il gravissimo errore dei Farisei era quello di opporsi al Vangelo che Gesù continuava a predicare nelle loro città.
La domanda che essi posero al Cristo rifletteva il loro programma di vita: "Perché i tuoi discepoli non si comportano secondo la tradizione degli antichi, ma prendono cibo con mani impure?". Notate come gli stessi Farisei cercavano la condanna di Gesù, istigandolo su aspetti sicuramente meno importanti della conversione del cuore e dell'adorazione di Dio.
Non faceva parte delle Legge quella loro tradizione umana; essi l'avevano inventata per prepararsi a diventare sepolcri imbiancati.
Anche oggi esiste molta confusione tra i cattolici riguardo l'osservanza del Vangelo. Così diventa comodo seguire un proprio vangelo e giustificarsi di continuo. Trovare questo stratagemma non arreca pace interiore, nè si può cambiare il pensiero che Gesù ha su quanti si comportano in questo modo.
Ci sono credenti che ragionano tra sè come se Dio non esistesse e non si accorgesse dei loro comportamenti, agiscono di nascosto nel commettere errori e poi trovano immediate giustificazioni. Si tratta di debolezze e quì si evidenzia l'incapacità di comprendere la serietà del cammino spirituale.
Ma la conversione è possibile a tutti, la santità si può raggiungere anche dopo una vita di errori.
Si può improvvisamente capire che la vera vita va vissuta osservando gli insegnamenti di Gesù, e questa è la conversione autentica del peccatore.
La preghiera tutto può ottenere e tutto può cambiare, quindi preghiamo per quanti non hanno incontrato la Verità di Gesù, non condanniamoli mai e mostriamo con il nostro esempio che Dio li ama così come sono. Ma essi devono ravvedersi.

B - L'avvenimento di ieri sul quesito del sabato continua in questo Vangelo con un ragionamento simile anche se si svolse alcuni giorni dopo. Ieri il discorso verteva sulle spighe raccolte di sabato e di altri gesti che rimanevano proibiti in quel giorno, Gesù diede una risposta chiara e ineccepibile. Non poteva però convincere i Farisei dal cuore indurito, per essi la tradizione inventata dai loro padri era la vera legge.
Rimaneva impossibile far cambiare loro idea o quantomeno portarli a ragionare. Troppo istinto radicato nel cuore, per cambiare convinzioni bisognava togliere materialmente il cuore... Voglio dire che faceva parte della loro indiscutibile forma mentis l'osservanza delle tradizioni umane che servivano in realtà a quietare la loro esasperazione.
Dinanzi alla durezza dei farisei, Gesù pose una domanda: "È lecito in giorno di sabato fare del bene o fare del male, salvare una vita o ucciderla?". Domanda anche inconsueta, lo è ancora di più perchè espressa da Gesù, ma egli l'ha posta perchè i presenti erano talmente ottenebrati dall'orgoglio e dalla loro accecata mentalità, da non distinguere più un uomo dall'animale.
La vita immorale conduce a questa drammatica condizione spirituale, si diventa cieco, schiavo dei vizi e si adorano gli idoli.
Il danno è rilevante per quanti rimangono ingabbiati a causa delle loro scelte disastrose, e sono maggiormente drammatiche le conseguenze quando a commettere scandali pubblici sono i Consacrati. E su queste notizie i quotidiani ci sguazzano e divulgano informazioni per screditare la Chiesa. Mentre noi ne parliamo per conoscere persone e fatti, ed evitare di cadere nelle loro trappole.
Noi consideriamo quanto è di dominio pubblico per conoscere e pregare di più. Non è intelligente fare finta di nulla, la verità conosciuta si deve approfondire per conoscere il vero cammino di Fede. Il Papa numerose volte ha richiamato Cardinali, Vescovi e Sacerdoti ad una vita più evangelica, a lasciare le ricchezze e la vita gaudente per abbracciare con serietà la povertà, l'amore, la misericordia.
Questa mattina ho trovato in Internet questo titolo: "Patrimonio e amici del monsignor mondano. Tele di Van Gogh e De Chirico in casa". Tutto l'opposto del Vangelo di Gesù e dei continui richiami del Papa. Ho letto l'articolo con stupore e vergogna per il monsignore così inebriato di beni mobili e immobili.

Possiamo immaginare quali interessi spirituali poteva avere questo monsignore. Comunque il giudice che ha disposto gli arresti per la seconda volta di monsignor Scarano ne ha tracciato un breve ritratto, pubblicato nell'articolo in questione:
“«…E il giudice prosegue sottolineando che "il monsignore sembra avere una doppia personalità perché quando celebra Messa o è nella funzione di religioso sembra mite e umile mentre quando si sveste è ben vestito, abbronzato, diviene amante della vita mondana e si accompagna a personaggi noti quali il Principe di Monaco". Non solo. Secondo quanto accertato dalle indagini affidate alla Guardia di Finanza "Scarano parla spesso al telefono anche con tale Emilio Zanotti che sarebbe una sorta di mago, indovino, veggente con il quale il prelato si confronta quotidianamente, anche per più volte al giorno, rendendolo partecipe del suo stato d’animo di particolare preoccupazione per le indagini in corso e richiedendogli di continuo rassicurazioni al riguardo»”.
Leggendo l'articolo completo ho ripensato a personaggi simili che occupano posti autorevoli nella Chiesa e prendono decisioni non secondo verità e giustizia, ma seguendo i loro interessi o gradimenti. È tremendo questo. Così le iniquità e le prepotenze aumentano nella Chiesa e comprendiamo che agiscono con indifferenza, freddezza e assoluta superficialità nelle cose di Dio, per la mancanza di Dio.
Che vita spirituale possono condurre quei credenti che seguono personaggi come il monsignore ricco e due volte arrestato?
Ci sono credenti che seguono personaggi come il monsignore e si rallegrano nel prenderne insegnamenti ovviamente umani, anche per la qualità dell'importante ruolo che ricopriva il monsignore in Vaticano. Sono credenti sempre in cerca di novità, come di nuove apparizioni o di amicizie altolocate nella Chiesa per ostentare spiritualità mentre magari rifuggono come la peste quei Sacerdoti che invece sono in piena comunione con Gesù.
Questi credenti scelgono i loro amici dal rango che posseggono.
Dai Sacerdoti buoni cercano e leggono giornalieri insegnamenti, ma di nascosto, nel senso che non vogliono far sapere di leggerli, e così li seguono sul web o li ricevono giornalmente, per leggerli con impazienza non appena il suono indica l'arrivo della mail.
Che commento devo fare io sui credenti che seguono i monsignori attratti dalla mondanità e discutono più di quadri e divertimenti mondani che del Vangelo? Non c'è da dire nulla, i fatti parlano da soli e chi ne è coinvolto non compie assolutamente un cammino di Fede.
Non li condanno perchè ognuno sceglie liberamente quale cammino spirituale compiere e ne è responsabile; certo poi non ha motivi per lamentare problemi e sofferenze o altre situazioni drammatiche.
Gesù aiuta e guarisce solo se osserviamo la sua Parola e se non cerchiamo contemporaneamente diversivi peccaminosi. Quando guarì la mano paralizzata all'uomo nella sinagoga, gli cambiò pure la vita, lo rese abile e il miracolato cominciò a servirlo. Mentre chi oggi continua ad avere la mano inaridita e non è in grado neanche di aiutare i poveri, è allo stesso tempo lontano da Gesù.
C'è chi non può fare donazioni per mancanza di denaro, ma chi può donare e sostenere le opere di Dio, deve davvero interrogare la coscienza e chiedersi se ha iniziato davvero il cammino spirituale oppure oscilla per egoismo e rimane schiavo dei suoi beni. Senza generosità la Fede rimane molto piccola.

C - Gesù attraeva molta folla che, "sentendo quanto faceva", cercava Lui da ogni parte per ricevere un aiuto. La Persona di Gesù aveva forte attrazione ma non in tutti. Quelli che Lo cercavano erano ammalati e carichi di problemi, e già la ricerca del Signore li rendeva predisposti a ricevere Grazie. I cattivi e quelli dal cuore indurito non cercavano Gesù, preferivano restare ammalati che prostrarsi davanti a Lui.
In tutte le regioni si era diffusa la voce dei miracoli di Gesù. Il Vangelo afferma che arrivavano da tanti luoghi per vederlo; molti si accontentavano anche di questo, ma andavano con la speranza di ottenere la guarigione anche da malattie incurabili.
Quanta strada dovevano fare per vedere Gesù, quanta fatica per ottenere anche un piccolo aiuto: cercavano Dio per implorarlo.
Oggi Gesù si trova nei Tabernacoli delle Chiese e pochi Lo vanno a cercare, come se non avessero bisogno di Lui, essi non comprendono profondamente che l'Eucaristia è Gesù Cristo, lo stesso che duemila anni fa faceva miracoli senza sosta e guariva gli ammalati da ogni malattia. Lo stesso che liberava le persone possedute dai diavoli e scacciava i diavoli con un solo respiro. Lo stesso che mostrò un Amore senza limiti per ciascuno di noi.
Ognuno si chieda qual’è l'origine dell'indifferenza o del poco amore verso l'Eucaristia. Forse si conosce poco? Non si è ancora capaci di rimanere in silenzio davanti al Tabernacolo ad adorare l'Eucaristia? Non c'è il desiderio di adorare o molte altre cose mondane si considerano più importanti di Gesù?
È un discorso rivolto ai cattolici, essi programmano la giornata escludendo Gesù, quindi senza considerare la sua presenza, solamente quando c'è una sofferenza molti pregano e chiedono aiuti. Ci sono quelli che sicuramente conducono un serio cammino spirituale e seguono Gesù, molti altri cattolici invece trascurano la cosa più importante della vita: adorare Dio. Lavorano o hanno altri impegni familiari, così dimenticano Gesù.
Molti cattolici potrebbero fare di più, sia per il tempo disponibile sia per le amicizie, ma sono pigri, volubili e senza la chiara volontà di rinnegare i propri peccati.
Quando non si entra nella vera spiritualità si segue Gesù e la Madonna in modo emotivo e passionale, e non per una convinta riflessione della loro importanza, perchè altrimenti si lascerebbe la vita dissipata e insignificante che si conduce. Magari si va in pellegrinaggio e si respira una certa emozione che ci illude di avere trovato tutto. Non si comprende che quello è solo l'inizio del vero cammino spirituale. Si continua così a vivere di apparenze.
Il vero amore a Gesù si deve non solo quando c'è una malattia o si spera di salvare il matrimonio; questa è preghiera interessata.
Certo, è sempre preferibile pregare anche quando non c'è un amore convinto verso Gesù, con il tempo potrebbe sbocciare. La preghiera fatta con semplicità viene accolta da Gesù, anche se chi prega non è molto spirituale. Gesù ascolta sempre, ascolta tutto, perchè come Dio è in ogni luogo, non si trova solamente nel Tabernacolo. Ma chi si reca da Gesù scopre il suo grande Amore, e la sua spiritualità diventa più forte.
Il Vangelo afferma che moltissimi, senza conoscere Gesù, andavano a cercarlo venendo da ogni parte. Oggi i cristiani Lo conoscono e rimangono indifferenti. Oppure Lo cercano attraverso le persone sbagliate, per assecondare la propria vanità e superbia. Gesù passa davanti a noi e spera di fermarsi nei cuori buoni e pronti ad accoglierlo e solo in pochi cuori rimane, perchè li trova aperti e liberi dalle frivolezze mondane.

D - Il discorso sul digiuno lo abbiamo analizzato molte volte. Sappiamo che è determinante il digiuno dal cibo, è pure importante il digiuno dal peccato, e quindi l’assenza di asservimento alle opere, ai pensieri o parole che fanno scaturire peccati.
Il digiuno cristiano è una privazione volontaria. Lo possono fare quelli che ne hanno compreso anche in minima parte la validità per la vita spirituale. Il digiuno si pratica all'inizio anche con piccole cose, nel tempo si arriverà a grandi pratiche. Quando si inizia sembra quasi la fine della propria vita, come se mancasse l'aria, ma la serena riflessione ci conduce alla sua comprensione corretta.
A Gesù si deve chiedere l'aiuto, la forza, per praticare il digiuno che si vuole fare, questo se riguarda piccole privazioni, se invece si pensa a qualcosa di più forte è sempre opportuno chiedere consiglio. Ci si rivolge a quei Sacerdoti che praticano il digiuno o che si dedicano con impegno alla vita spirituale e comprendono la necessità di mortificare il corpo per sottometterlo alla propria volontà.
Chi non compie esercizi ascetici, quindi sforzi e privazioni per dominare il proprio corpo, è sempre succube di ogni pensiero che si presenta alla mente. Da dove arrivano quei pensieri? Non lo si sa e non si posseggono i mezzi per comprenderlo, rimanendo così sempre schiacciati da una forza superiore e assoggettati alla propria debolezza istintiva.
Chi desidera vincere le tentazioni deve pregare e resistere, ma è pure necessario dominare l'istinto per trovare una determinazione vincente. È un cammino spirituale che si inserisce nella vita di ogni giorno, significa cambiare le vecchie abitudini istintive per rimpiazzarle con le virtù insegnate da Gesù. È uno sviluppo che non ha limiti, un cammino che diventa sempre più gratificante per la pace interiore che si acquisisce e la gioia che accompagna la vita.
Vi consiglio di fare piccoli sforzi per arrivare a compierne di grandi, per esempio,
• pensate bene di chi non vi ama,
• evitate la curiosità, all’invadenza, all’essere invadenti verso il prossimo),
• sorridete con amore a tutti,
• non date mai risposte impazienti e con modi canzonatori,
• usate pazienza con tutti,
• non giudicate,
• siate buoni in ogni circostanza,
• mostratevi affettuosi e pazienti,
• praticate la bontà e la docilità,
• il vostro parlare sia si, si, no, no, perché il di più arriva dal maligno (il vostro parlare sia chiaro, onesto, perché il di più arriva dal maligno…)
Sembrano esercizi pesanti, invece quando c'è l'amore tutto diventa facile, ognuno può praticarli secondo gli sforzi e l'amore! Buona preghiera a tutti.

A - The new pretext found by the Pharisees was related to an observance that was part of the tradition of the elders, an essential rite used before coming to dinner. They had seen Jesus' followers collect the crops and then take the food without washing their hands, while they themselves, returning from the market, used to make first the ablutions, which were thorough washing of the hands.
The drama was not given by these washes, which we all consider necessary before eating and that in any case it is good to repeat often during the day, but from the incorrect interpretation of the tradition of their fathers. In fact the Pharisees were convinced that, washing their hands, a kind of inner purification was achieved. In reality, more than a sort of purification it was false religiosity.

Even today it happens the subjective interpretation of the Scriptures. Many have the belief, surely wrong, to be self-sufficient, because they do not follow the Church or are part of the evangelical communities.
In the protestant world the communities born as mushrooms; everyone feels himself entitled to establish evangelical churches which are in fact community or prayer entities.
The reason for this heretic flowering of new evangelical communities, which often deny certain sacraments and devotion to Our Lady, comes from a strong sense of autonomy that dangerously leads to break away from Jesus, while claiming at the same time to be Christians and followers of Christ. They behave like the Pharisees of old.
Who keeps the law of God can not manipulate it according to their own views, can not draw at will interpretations.
The Pharisees were concerned about washing hands and not thought to purify the heart from sin, arrogance, pride, arrogance and ostentation. They watched many other things to tradition, such as washing and cleaning of glasses, crockery and copper objects. Their concerns were based on the appearance and not the essence. The great mistake of the Pharisees was to oppose the Gospel that Jesus continued to preach in their cities.
The question they posed to Christ reflected their program of life: "Why do your disciples not live according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?". Notice how the same Pharisees sought the condemnation of Jesus, instigating him on certainly less important aspects of the conversion of the heart and the adoration of God.
That human tradition was not part of the Law .They invented it to prepare themselves to become whited sepulchres.
Even today there is a lot of confusion among Catholics about the observance of the Gospel. So it becomes easy to follow their own gospel and justify the time. Find this trick does not bring inner peace, nor can you change the thought that Jesus has on those who behave in this way.
There are believers who think of themselves as if God did not exist and was not aware of their behavior, act secretly in making mistakes and then find the immediate justification. It is here highlights the weakness and inability to understand the seriousness of the spiritual journey.
But the conversion is possible at all, holiness can be achieved even after a lifetime of mistakes.
You may suddenly realize that real life must be lived by looking at the teachings of Jesus, and this is the genuine conversion of the sinner.
Prayer can get anything and everything can change, so we pray for those who have not met the Truth of Jesus, never condemn them and we show by our example that God loves them as they are. But they need to mend their ways.

B - The event discussed yesterday on the question of the Sabbath continues in this Gospel with a similar reasoning even if it took place a few days later. Yesterday's speech dealt with the ears collected on Saturday and other gestures that remained forbidden on that day. Jesus gave a clear and unexceptionable answer. But he could not convince the Pharisees with hardened heart. They were convinced that the tradition invented by their fathers was the true law.
Remained impossible to change their minds or at least get them to think. Too much instinct implanted in their heart; to change the beliefs it had to physically remove the heart ... I mean that it was part of their indisputable way of thinking the observance of human traditions who served in reality to appease their exasperation.
Faced with the hardness of the Pharisees, Jesus put a question: "Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?". Question well unusual, it is even more because expressed by Jesus, but he has placed it because those present were so darkened by pride and blinded mentality not to distinguish more a man from the animal.
The immoral life leads to this dramatic spiritual condition, you become blind , slave of vices and worship idols.
The damage is relevant to how many remain trapped because of their disastrous choices, and the consequences are more dramatic when to commit public scandals are the Sanctified. And the newspapers wallow on these news and disseminate information to discredit the Church. While we speak, to learn about people and events, and avoid falling into their traps.
We consider what is in the public domain to learn about and pray more. It is not intelligent to pretend anything; the known truth must be explored to find out the true path of faith. The Pope recalled numerous times cardinals, bishops and priests to a more evangelical life, to leave their riches and pleasure-loving life to seriously embrace poverty, love, mercy.
This morning I found this on the Internet entitled "Heritage and Friends of mundane Bishop . Paintings by Van Gogh and De Chirico in the house." Quite the opposite of the Gospel of Jesus and the constant reminders of the Pope. I read the article with amazement and shame for the Bishop so intoxicated by movable and immovable property.
Who reads the article remains shocked. Published by Corrieredella Sera daily newspaper:

We can imagine what could have been spiritual interests of this lord. However, the judge who ordered the arrest for the second time of Monsignor Scarano has sketched a quick portrait of him, published in the article in question:

And the judge goes on to underline that "the lord seems to have a split personality because, when he celebrates Mass or is in the function of religion, he seems meek and humble and when he divest is well dressed, tanned, becomes lover of mundan life and is associated with well-known personalities such as Prince of Monaco. "
Not only that. By reading the full article I thought about similar characters who occupy authoritative roles in the Church and make decisions not according to truth and righteousness, but according to their interests or likings. This is terrible. So the iniquities and bullying increase in the Church and we understand that they act with indifference, coldness and utter superficiality in the things of God, to the lack of God
That spiritual life can lead those believers who follow the likes of the rich and twice arrested lord?
There are believers who follow the characters as they rejoice in the and take human teachings obviously, also for the quality of the important role that covered the monsignor in the Vatican. Believers are always looking for innovations, such as new appearances or friends in high places in the Church to flaunt spirituality and maybe shun like the plague those priests who instead are in full communion with Jesus
These believers choose their friends from the rank they have.
From good Priests they search and read daily teachings, but secretly, in the sense that they do not want to notify that they read them, and so they follow them on the web or receive them daily, to read them eagerly as soon as the sound indicates the arrival of the mail.
What do I have to comment on believers who follow the monsignors attracted to the worldliness and eager to discuss more on paintings and worldly amusements that on the Gospel? There is nothing to say, the facts speak for themselves and those involved in it absolutely does not make a journey of faith.
I do not condemn them, because everyone is free to select which fulfill the spiritual path and is responsible for it; then certainly has no reason to complain about problems and suffering or other dramatic situations.
Jesus helps and heals only if we keep His Word and if we do not try simultaneously sinful diversions. When he healed paralyzed hand to the man in the synagogue, also changed his life, made him a skillful and the miraculously healed began to serve him. While who today continues to have the withered hand, and it is not even able to help the poor, is at the same time away from Jesus
There are those who can not make donations to lack of money, but who can donate and support the work of God must really question his conscience and ask himself whether he really started the spiritual path of selfishness or if he oscillates and remains a slave to his possessions. Without _ generosity Faith remains very small.

C - Jesus attracted a large crowd that, "feeling all that he did," was looking for Him from all over to get some help. The Person of Jesus had strong attraction but not in all. Those who were looking for Him were sick and with a lot of problems, and already seeking the Lord made them geared up to get Grace. The bad ones and those with hardened heart did not seek Jesus; they preferred to remain sick than bow down before Him
In all regions, had spread the voice of the miracles of Jesus. The Gospel says that came from many places to see, and many were content of this too, but they were hoping to achieve a cure also for incurable diseases.
How far they had to do to see Jesus; how much effort to even get a little help: they looked for God, to implore him. .
Today, Jesus is in the tabernacles of the churches and just few go to look for Him, as if they did not need Him, they do not understand deeply that the Eucharist is Jesus Christ, the same person that two thousand years ago tirelessly worked miracles and healed the sick by any disease. The same that freed the people possessed by devils and casting out devils in one breath. The same one that showed a Love without limits for each of us.
Everyone asks himself what is the origin of indifference or of little love for the Eucharist. Maybe little is known about? Has not yet been able to remain silent before the tabernacle to worship the Eucharist? There is a desire to worship or many other worldly things are considered more important than Jesus?
It is a discourse addressed to Catholics, they plan their day excluding Jesus, then regardless of his presence, only when there is a lot of suffering they pray and ask for help. There are those that will surely lead to a serious spiritual path and follow Jesus, many other Catholics instead neglect the most important thing in life: worship God. They work or have other family commitments, so they forget Jesus
Many Catholics could do more, both in the time available both for friendships, but they are lazy, fickle and without a clear intention to renounce their sins.
When you do not enter the true spirituality you follow Jesus and Mary so emotionally and passionate, and not for a reflection convinced of their importance, because otherwise people would leave the dissipated and insignificant life they conducts. Maybe you go on a pilgrimage and breathe some excitement that deceive yourselves that all has been fixed. It is not understood that you are only at the beginning of true spiritual path. Thus we continue to live on appearances.
We must true love in Jesus not only when there is a disease or when we are hoping to save the marriage; in these cases the prayer is concerned.
Of course, it is always preferable to pray even when there is not a convinced love for Jesus; with time it could blossom. The prayer of simplicity is welcomed by Jesus, though one who prays is not very spiritual. Jesus always listens, hears everything, because just as God he is everywhere and not just only in the Tabernacle. But who goes to Jesus, discovers his great love, and spirituality becomes stronger.
The Gospel says that many, without knowing Jesus, , went to look for him coming from all sides. Today Christians know Him and remain indifferent. Or seek Him through the wrong people, to indulge their vanity and pride. Jesus, goes before us and hopes to stop in the hearts good and ready to welcome him, and he remains only in few hearts, because he finds them open and free from worldly frivolities

D - We analyzed many times the discussion on fasting. We know it is crucial fasting from food, it is also important fasting from sin and thus the absence of subservience to the works, thoughts, or words that do arise sins.
Christian fasting is a voluntary deprivation. This they do by those who have understood also in small part its validity for the spiritual life. Fasting is practiced at the beginning with small things, over time it will lead to larger practices. When you start it seems almost the end of his life, as if gasping for air, but the serene reflection leads us to its correct understanding.
In Jesus you have to ask for the help, the strength, to practice fasting that you want to do this if it concerns small privations, but if you think of something stronger is always advisable to seek advice. There will appeal to those priests who practice fasting or who engage with commitment to the spiritual life and understand the need to mortify the body into submission to his will.
Who does not perform ascetic exercises, then efforts and privations to control his body, it is always under the thumb of every thought that comes to mind. Where do those thoughts come from? We do not know and do not possess the means to understand it, so ever remaining crushed by a superior force and subject to our own instinctive weakness.
Those who want to overcome temptations must pray and resist, but it is also necessary to dominate the instinct in order to find a winning determination. It is a spiritual path that fits into everyday life, it means changing old instinctive habits to replace them with the virtues taught by Jesus. It is a development that has no limits, a journey that becomes more and more rewarding for inner peace that is acquired and the joy that accompanies life.
I recommend you make small efforts to get to larger ones, for example:
• think good of those who does not love you
• avoid _ _ being intrusive to the next.
• smile love to all
• never give answers impatient and teasing ways
• be patient with all _ _
• do not judge
• be good in every circumstance
• show yourselves affectionate and patient
• practice kindness and docility
• speak clearly, honestly, because the more comes from the evil
They seem too heavy exercises, but when there is love, everything becomes easy, everyone can practice them according to their efforts and love!
